Reni hadn't heard anything of what had been happening by the time she had moved about a block away. Her ear buds were inserted into her ears with some music playing. She usually did such when she was walking home from the diner. It gave her time to calm down before actually reaching her apartment which was located about seven city blocks away from the diner. The crowds of the streets were there in the night, but as she moved off away from where the busy sections of New York City was and into the more residential area, she felt her phone begin to vibrate in her pocket.

Pulling off to the side of the sidewalk, she popped an ear bud out and placed it to her ear. "Hello?" Reni asked, leaning against a building. "Ez? Hey-" Her voice was cut off as he went and told her to get inside her apartment. She was still about four or five blocks away. Blinking, she allowed her eyes to scan around the streets. It wasn't safe, he said. "Right. Be careful. Let me know when you're safe." The phone conversation ended there, and Reni took off down the sidewalk to get to her apartment.

The last thing she needed was for someone tied with Ez in some battle to find her because she was somehow connected with him.
