Matthew had escaped long before the fight even ended. He decided tonight he would probably have to let the hunter go. The police were showing up and there was simply too much commotion for him to stay out in the open. Matthew would look for him now, but it would be quite tricky, New York was a big place afterall. As Matt scratched his head, he began scanning block after block. He even passed by the diner that the hunter had been in, without noticing the first time. No, it would be almost impossible for Matt to know it was the hunter now that his appearance and smell had changed completely.
Matt did keep walking for a few minutes, until he did remember a strange scent as he walked by. It was like the smell of a vampire, he could tell it was coming from inside the diner. Matthew quickly made his way back, and opened the door, the door making the little jingle sound as he walked in. The door shut quietly behind him as some young waitress walked up to him and asked him "Table for one?" the waitress asked. "Yes ma'am." Matthew replied politely as she escourted him to a booth next to the booth Natalia and Ezekeil.
Now, Matthew clearly could smell her scent, the scent of a vampire. But from Ezekiel, he couldn't smell anything... it was like he purposly tried to hide his scent. This made Matt even more curious, as he simply ordered a coke. He wanted to keep a close eye on those two. There was something just too suspisious about that guy... again he had no scent, and surely he would at least smell of a human, or a vampire, but there was nothing, he must have purposly hidden his scent Matt concluded as he kept watching them without actually seeming to do so. He was more listening, every now and again he would take a glance at the two, but that would be it.
