So, I'm getting a notification for a Visitor Message that doesn't exist. I'm pretty sure it's not a Ghost VM like the ones that some people have gotten in the past, since I checked the last page of my VM's and didn't see anything suspect, and deleting my last VM didn't fix anything (this started immediately after I posted the same VM multiple times due to a connection issue, for reference), although I wasn't entirely sure whether that would have helped anyway.

Anyone know how to fix this?

I had an idea, something that I think many people would enjoy doing. It is similar to the ‘of the months’, but not as extreme? (I think that was the word I was looking for). I was thinking that someone (or I wouldn’t mind running this) this thing called Jump Starts. Jump Starts are writing exercises were a theme/ starter line is given, along with a person (1st or 3rd) and an amount of time for people to write. It will be a bit of an honesty thing, but let’s say the line was “He was buried by the old oak tree.. . . .” and you have ten minutes to write a story, the story doesn’t have to have an end, you just write. Maybe after a day or two when a new Jump start is given, people can start to comment on entries, I’m not sure about making a voting thread like the of the months, just because there could be too many entries for people to vote on.

This is a short way for people to get their muse going again, get new ideas, try new things, push to new ideas, and better their writing skills with others allowed to comment on them. Any takers of the idea? Or suggestions onto the idea?

Hey, guys. How's it going. Purplatious here.

So let's cut to the chase: I joined this forum today and can't reply to any topics except for my own. I also can't edit my posts or use the search function.

Now, I'm not posting this thread to ask why I can't do these things. I know. At first I thought it was because the title of my introductory thread looked like automated advertising, but I did quite a bit of research and determined that it's actually because I am currently a "Junior Member." To become a "Member," I must either wait 24 hours or reply to the people who welcomed me in my introductory thread. This is a problem, as it involves waiting for people to welcome me in my introductory thread, and I am an impatient brat with no life; furthermore, I have spent the past hour figuring out why I can't do all this stuff, and I am now frustrated and therefore in no mental condition to exercise patience anyway.

Anyway, I was thinking to myself that there are probably many users who have this same problem and never figure out what's going on. So I thought it would be super-nice to maybe have something in the rules or the FAQ about this, some kind of indication to new users that they won't be able to do all this stuff until they get posts in their introductory thread and then reply to them. Even though I now know what's going on, for the sake of future users I'd be really happy to see this.

That's all I guess. Hope to get to know you all, on a lighter note.

EDIT: Interestingly I can suddenly do all these things I said I couldn't do, and I didn't reply to anyone in my thread or anything. Anyone know why?

If anyone remembers, Ihad this problem a while back but it was never resolved.

I'd like to ask if general settings, internet type or even Windows 8 Is the source of the problem here. Now all chat boxes no longer have BBCode buttons, I'm unable to multiquote and must quote individual quotes one at a time, and to top it all off, I no longer have the ability to edit my profile.

Is there anyone else who ever had this problem in the past?

EDIT: Also, would the use of Windows phone and Tablet on RPG also cause a similar problem?

Hello. I have two ideas for the website admin.
One: Make the thread titles changable. Eg: "Double lives RP" to "Double lives RP - OOC" and even more than that for the creator of that thread.
Two: Make polls editable or deleteable. I made a poll for a thread for people in my RP and once I had posted it, on of my players made some more suggestions, but I could not add them. Also, once the Poll had finished, I wanted to delete it, but could not.
