(Note to moderators: I put this thread in the OTD forum as oppose to the Gallery forum because it is directed at people who do not do image editing as a hobbie. Feel free to move it wherever appropriate.)
Allot of people around the forum have stated in one way or another that they do not know how to resize an image. Now, don't get me wrong, big images are great for high-quality forest shots/scenery/etc. But, when you just wanna show people your face in 'Post yo pikcha' then all you really need is an image big enough to see. So, this is my tutorial on how to simply and quickly resize your images. I am sorry to make this statement but it is the truth: I do not own a macintosh, nor have I ever. So, this tutorial will be for windows 98/xp. Thats right, I don't have Vista either....But you can employ this technique with vista too. Now, some of you probably know this technique already, so save me the drama and just leave out your expertise, lol, jk. 1):Bring up paint 2): Select all 3):Grab and drag 4):Drag again 5): (optional) Add a snazzhy caption This is possibly the simplest and easiest way to resize an image. Not to mention that just about everyone(excluding mac owners. Sorry Jazz.) has MSpaint. Their are other ways to resize with a variety of image editors. but this is the one I chose to employ in this tutorial. I'll probably add tutorials for Paint shop pro 5 or even Gimp(though I'm not too familiar with Gimp) if the need arises. Edit: One could also go to the menu under 'Image' and go to the Stretch/skew and use the percent boxes to scale the image down. I find that this method works better because the image does not look as pixelated. Ciao... 1337 p9in7 5ki11z!!!1!! -76
