A Good; Detailed Character Profile Template
In my opinion, a character profile must be detailed. Here is one template that I have.

 I'll just write back here what I've written there:It's a good detailed template, but most games do not require such detail and some players wish to relay personal developments via the story thread. I personally use 4-5 sections from the entire thing myself. But the template is cool though

Personally, I think there's charm to having just a single template that's universal for everything regardless of whether everything is required or not. I think for the large majority of new people like myself having one template might be easier to handle than several different types. This is probably just due to the fact that some people like using the same character for different stories.
It could essentially cut out a lot of time. Not to mention that the more detailed a profile is, the harder it is to go wrong with character consistency during posting.

On the flip side, you need to keep a handy note to remind yourself what you've written in your profile so that you don't contradict yourself while playing. This is especially true for me, since I don't remember character details that well >.>

True. I personally find it extremely hard to remember every little detail. Of course, I remember my character's age, name, looks, powers, abilities, items and stuff, but to be able to remember what is his grandfather's, grandmother's, 2nd cousin, third niece's names, well, ok, it gets a bit difficult. @Cruithne: It gets kinda boring.

I like this, and will probably use it (or at least a good part of it) when I create characters.
I do have a question though, what do you mean by "Player(s)"? Sorry if that is a noobish question.
