Character Creators
You know when you just can't find that bloody reference photo? Maybe the hair is the wrong color or the eyes just aren't the right shade. Perhaps the body type is all wrong or you can't even establish the gender of the person in the drawing/photo (Hey, it happens) Maybe their clothing isn't the right kind or its not forum suitable. Sure, you can type up a description, but a photo would be great to go along with it! If only you had one...oh if only. And drawing your own? Pft, stick figures are your only friends when it comes to the art world. You can push that idea aside. Well you could use that same anime photo you use every time, but you're pretty sure you saw someone else use it a couple threads back. So....what now? Well, you could always...use a character generator! Yep. And I won't lie, a lot of these suckers are hard to find, therefore I went through my favorites list on Internet Explorer and dug up some of my favs. After I did that, I went searching for more and added those to make the list longer and give you more to work with. So, I hope you enjoy!!! I'll be adding more whenever I can locate them and lure them into my lair with cheeses and various sweet items such as chocolate and muffins. So I bet you’re sitting here and thinking, “Well this is all well and good, but incase you haven’t noticed Ravy that on half of these I CAN’T SAVE MY CHARACTER!” Never fear! Underdog is here! But he’s on lunch break, so you’re stuck with me again. Welcome to the wonderful world of… screen shots! *Cue hallelujah chorus.* You’ve seen em around, but you’ve always wondered just how to create one. Well you’re gonna need to know how if you plan on keeping your character! And here’s how you do it! STEP NUMBER ONE!: Create your character!  Okay, now that that’s done (And don’t you just love my Danny Phantom wolf?) You need to create your screen shot! GREAT! Now, the magical button, at least on my computer, is located right above the backspace button. It is called “Prt Scr Sys Rq” Okay, hit that button, hold it if you have paranoid OCD. STEP NUMBER TWO!: Pasting! Open up “Paint” Click the “Edit” button at the top of the screen. It is in-between “File” and “View” Scroll down to “Paste.”  Booyah! There’s your image….but…but…ew look at all the extra screen crap that’s clouding your view. GROSSS!!!!! And look! Limewire is enabling open information sharing! Back on topic: Okay, calm down. Take some chill pills and proceed to… STEP NUMBER THREE!: Editing! Instead of rotating your photo around and around to crop it, here’s a little trick. Click the photo and drag it up until corner meets corner, like so.  Now, see in that screenshot how there’s a teeny tiny blue box beneath the clear white space? Good. Click it, and drag it up until all the junk is gone. Do the same with the right side. BANG! There’s your little char! Isn’t Danny Phantom Wolf just flat out adorable?  STEP NUMBER FOUR!: Uploading! This should be fairly easy! Go to photobucket.com (After saving your image of course) and, if you have an account registered, sign in and upload your photo. Use the code marked IMG. Copy and paste into your character description and Bam De La Bam Bam, you’re done!

I used to draw my own avatars on paper, (iam a half decent artist, i stole this avatar thought). Just use a pencil, draw what ever you like. Scan it and then draw over the vague coal lines on your sreen with paint.
I never colour them, and i usualy make sure the lines are as neat as possible. pure art looks better than modified, but that's a matter of oppinion. But as i said i quit doing that, and this list with the advice sounds sollid and fool proof. Now step aside, i wanna have a go!
