Send a message via AIM to 76. Send a message via MSN to 76. Send a message via Yahoo to 76.
Default Private-Message functions and how to use them.

Upon registering you will receive an email to the email address you provided in the registration form. Following the link in said email will lead you back to the forum, only now your account will be activated and you will have the ability to post and participate in forum activities.

But wait! Your private-message functions aren't working! You can't receive them, send them, or anything! You've checked all the settings inthe user control-panel but nothing works!

Good-gravy, Batman! What do we do!?

Calm down, lil fella'. We've got things under control.

Due to a spamming incident (Not to be confused with The Spamming Incident) the user privaliges were re-adjusted.

In summary, when you first register, you're placed in the "possible spammer" usergroup. In order to prevent a potential PM spamtastrophe, you must post three time before you are automatically switched to the "members" usergroup. Once in the "members" usergroup, you are permitted to send PMs.

Once your Private-Message functions have been activated you will be able to Privately message any member who has the function activated.
This function can be extremely handy if you want to discuss things with another user which you do not wish to be broadcasted to the entire forum, or to contact a mod for whatever reason, again, not to be broadcasted to the entire forum.

No Harassment: I will not tolerate harassment of others no matter what you may think. If someone asks you to stop contacting them over private messenger, then you must abide by this request, or this is private harassment.
Be wary that the administrators of this forum can view any and all pms. If you are found of Pm harrassment, action will be taken.

Once your Private-Message function has been activated. You can store up to 100 messages in all. Given you have a 1-1 send-receive ratio, you can store 50 sent and 50 received messages in your folder. But no, this does not mean that this is all you can store!

You can easily retrieve your private messages by clicking the check-box next to the message you want to download, and then scrolling down to the three link/buttons at the bottom of the page(circled in picture).

Now upon looking at the three choices given, you may be wondering 'What is XML? Or CSV? Well, honestly, I have no idea what these two things are. But what I do know from venturing far enough to actually click those lil links, is that XML opens with one's browser, and has interactive text which you can use to expand and collapse the pm's that you have downloaded.

CVS opens with one's notepad and is not much different (as far as I can tell) from a regular txt document.

All of your private-messages, no matter what link you click, will be downloaded into the same file. So if you have 50 messages selected, and you click one of the choices, the pop-up window will allow you to choose where to save the file and it will download the selected messages to that folder. All one file.
Any messages not selected will not be downloaded.

I hope that this information can be useful in the future, and I will expand upon it as I collect more in-depth knowledge of how it all works.

And remember, you can always come to mama.

To send a PM, simply find the user that you want to send the message to and click on their name(next to their avatar) and it will drop a menu down. In this menu look for 'Send a private message to <insert username here>' Click this and it will take you to a message box where you must type a subject first and then the message in the message box. Click preview to see your message before it is posted and then if everything is ok, click on the post message button.
