40k Inquisitorial Thread coming soon?

Well i don't know how many other people on this site play warhammer 40k and similar variants, but i do and i've recently been reading through the Eisenhorn novels. I'm inspired at the moment to try out a thread along the lines of the 40k game "Inquisitor". If you don't know anything about the warhammer 40k universe, you might as well not bother continuing with reading this unless your well into futuristic sci-fi stuff.

I'm posting this up to see jsut how many other people around here would be interested in an inquisitorial Roleplay set in the 40k universe, pending how many people would likely join, i'll start fleshing out the story and plot line. I'm looking, preferably,for people who understand the 40k universe and are relatively experienced roleplayers, A basic knowledge of the 40k universe is gonna have to be a prerequisite however, experienced roleplayers are not if you've got enough interest and flair, however.

The only reason i ask for experience is that in the likely event of only a few people showing interest, everyone will be playing out multiple characters at a time, I.E. their retinues and companions, which is something some less experienced roleplayers might not feel comfortable doing.

~~Before you go getting excited, Space marines are not allowed to be used in retinues, that's just overkill. Power armour must be limited to partial coverage, if any and you'll need a bloody good excuse for it! A note before people get carried away!~~

So anyway, how many of you would be interested in this idea? I'm not putting effort into typing out what i plan to achieve with this before i find out if it's ever going to work. And yes i will be acting as a GM, so before any of you think about taking the piss with stuff, Just remember a stray bolter shot to the head is gonna come you way should you push boundaries to the breaking point. ^__^

This sounds like fun but I'm not the most experienced role player. You see I have a problem with my characters. They don't have emotion and they are pretty much robots who do my bidding. Getting back on topic I would love to do this but I'm just not experienced enough.

P.S If you do decide to let me play can I be any race I want or what?

While I'm not a big fan of the Imperium of Man, this sounds interesting. If only humans are allowed I'll still play but if other races are allowed...........Then I am a Shas'ui Sa'cea of the Tau Empire. (For those who don't know the Tau language heres a translation Shas = fire as I am part of the fire caste aka the military, 'ui = veteran basically my rank, and Sa'cea is actually the name of the world I come from).

I do come on the site as and when i can, but like, my internet access time has been severely restricted recently and i've barely been able to get online once in a few days.

I have no issues about what race you are to be honest, Tua would make a refreshing change, but I'm not too sure about how they would fit in, though im sure i could find a way.

to be honest i'm not looking for out and out combat kill teams comprised of heavily armed and armoured characters, cause it'd turn into a big 40k battle essentially, but im very surprised i got a couple of positive feedbacks and the idea. If a few more people become interested i'll flesh out a story, rules and such and we can begin.

So i'll just have to leave it up to whether enough people become interested and actually wanna go for it. I should be able to get online over the weekend at some point, so i'll be checking on the thread then. ^_^

Tau are actually very diplomatic...........when you first meet them but if you refuse to join the Greater Good then you meet the Fire caste. If there is a common enemy though like Chaos, Orks, Tyranids, or Necrons I think we might be able to pull together a multifaction campaign. Though the imperium of man would not be happy about it. I'm more interested in the roleplay, stragety, and tactics myself than actual combat.

Here's a good question: Is this going to be galaxy wide or limited to a system or even planet?
