Closetmonster and Kio, I realize that I might come to toe the line in my following posts, but do please not think of me as a power player. These two need a certain amount of power to be able to contend with certain things (a village full of barbarians, to begin with), but if you really, really want to kill them, they are not invincible.

Personally, I think you're spot on, ol' chap. Seems to me Kio's got some aces up those sleeves and I know my C isn't uber powerful but is smart enough.

From what I've seen of your playing so far, I'm sure you have flexibility in regards to others' character abilities and we won't all end up having to beat you down.

It's nice having another person to mix up the story line some with. You definitely added a new element and that's good.

Also, I tried a PM with you but I'll put that here, in case you don't check. I'm running on the assumption that the highest rate of probability indicates Alarin is the target of your C's. If this is correct (barring any wrenches Kio wishes to throw into the mix, which I would not complain on at all) would you rather make up the perceived ills as we go along (a much more adventurous act and I think I can trust you with it) or would you prefer to set up a skeletal backstory there?

Now, as regards the roleplay - I like this flexible sort of thing (reminds me of the good ole days, when such things were easy to find), and I'm prepared to bend in whatever shape the story asks of me. It's nice to have some freedom again. Unless there was some specific wrongdoing you wanted your character to be accused of, I've already thought of one that has a couple of solutions. I'll not reveal it ahead of time, of course.

Heh. Oh no, no no.. not at all. I actually left public RPing and sequestered myself and a finger or two full of old fashioned RP partners in solo plays together with me, just so that I didn't have to deal with the boundaries. Ack! Boundaries! On a creative process. Who the hell thought of that?

Anyway, yeah. Sounds good to me. Nothing wrong with not knowing what's coming up at all.

And you're welcome on the PM doo diddly. Heh. The only thing we have to do now is convince Kio that the OOC forum can be looked at too. Then we'll all be on the same page, kinda.

I'm here :P Sorry guys. I may be a bit distant in the next while. This are starting up in a whirlwind with school, work, 4-H, exams, and the benefit show x.x I'll try to get on as often as I can; I promise.

As for Arlix's lovely people. I've got a very lovely trick up my sleeve that not even Arlix knows about, so of course I'm not going to reveal it just yet :3

And I acknowledge that your characters are powerful M@x [I've always found it hard to rp powerful characters for that one reason], but there are factors to be considered; Arlix is not used to his position being challenged, so he will react into the over confident way because he has not yet failed to defend his people. And also, magic can always be defeated with something as simple as one killing stroke or arrow.

As for boundaries, I set none. That was the point to making a roleplay so open ended. The ones with their own setting and own world limitations are nice and all; but I like to respect the fact that people do make OC's who are completely developed and yet don't fit into the nice little box everyone else wants.

Hear hear! :rousing call of agreement: I'm looking forward to seeing what aces you both have up your sleeves. Alarin's magics are rather weak, but slippery so I hope it balances itself out against the more direct, powerful attacks. I've not sat down to really figure it out, but I know the "basis" for them and that should limit them right there. I hope! Heh. Feel free to call me on it, either of you, if I let Alarin get out of hand. It's been a few years now since I played a magic user in a RP. I'm feeling rather rusty.

Don't sweat the time stuff, Kio. At least not from this end. I'd bet most people can relate. Life just gets busy sometimes. Whatever you can give us will have to do, won't it? (Not like we have any choice in the matter.)

I just don't want to cheap you guys out with not enough posts, because the plot does look like it promises to be interesting. However we manage to stumble along with it XD

And don't worry about feeling rusty. We'll sweep you right along, and if we feel anyone is treading over the line, I'm sure we'd be civilized enough to tell the person about it.
