Blood of the Holy Grail [OOC]

As noted in the Interest Check, this RP will basically follow the War depicted in the Fate/Stay Night storyline. However, there's going a be a slight modification.

With the original story, the only limit to getting to the Holy Grail was the other Servants and their Master's standing in the way. In this game, it's going to be a bit different. The premise is the same, only that there is an in-game limit. The story will take place with a maximum of seven days (IC time, not real time). So basically, Masters/Servants have only a week to either kill each other or trick each other into death.

Introduction to the "Seven Day War":

After the week, if someone claims the Holy Grail successfully, they will attain it and the Master will have their wish granted. If there is more than one Master/Servant pairing left at the week's end, the Holy Grail disappears as do Servants. (No goal, no pact.)

For this RP, you guys have a couple of choices. If we get enough people, then the parts of Masters and Servants are all played by different people. If not; don't be afraid to double up. My only condition will be that if you choose a Servant of a particular class, you cannot also be that Servant's Master -- You will have to choose the Master of another class. (Basically, I want to encourage team work).

However, more than likely, there'll be a shortage of Master roles. In that case, I'm going to have to beg for assistance, because any Servant without a Master will not be able to play unless I choose to play them myself (Which is stressful).

Servant/Master Pairing Conditions:



These rules are:

1) Only one Servant may be paired to one Master at any time.
2) If a Servant dies, the Master lives.
3) If a Master dies, the Servant has two hours to find a new Master or he/she dies as well.
4) No more than one type of Servant may be in the War (So only one of each class. No doubles.)

Character Criteria:

Masters: Are modern day characters; people like you and I.

They can be old or young in age, male or female. However, they all need to require some amount of magical talent. All Magi fit into only one out of five subclasses. Note that any spells a Magi casts is not on par to contend with a Servant at any point. Masters only have the means to battle each other.

Compulsory for all Magi, a symbol of their pact: Command Spells.

Command Spells: Each Master at the point of Summoning have three Command Spells. They come up as a red symbol of three parts on the surface of a Magi's hand. Three parts means three uses. Exhaustion of these three parts essentially breaks the pact between Master and Servant. Originally, Command Spells were used to force a Servant to obey orders, regardless of their Alignment.

How we're going to approach the Command Spells in this RP is that the Master is able to essentially "god mod" his/her Servant into making an action against someone else. When we get to this (just a bit later, a couple of days maybe), I'll explain it more detail. It's not an actual god mod, it's going to be controlled between both players (Master and Servant).

Abilities: (Three maximum at first chapter, more can be added later. For Evocation/Tranmutation Magi only have one ability each and that is their base. Evocation - Energy Siphon [Ability to steal and store energy], Transmutation - Transmutate [Self explanatory])
Servants: Are traditional characters, better known as characters of legend.

They fulfill criteria for traditional fantasy characters and their personalities, speech and often their battle styles differ from modern-day equivalents. The Servant's weapon does not necessarily need to match the weapon of the chosen class: i.e. Archer using bows.

Summoned heroes (Servants) all require a "true" identity. In game, they are always referred to by their Class name. However, all these heroes have a real name. These names are of course, the name of a reincarnated hero of myth, legend or a historical figure. The knowledge of the true name of a hero will always be an advantage to another player. (Because if you know who they are, you'll instantly know their weaknesses and abilities)

All Servants, as a result of having a true identity also have a related Noble Phantasm (or special attack/ability/ultimate/whatever). e.g. Saber, a female version of King Arthur has Excalibur as one of her Noble Phantasms.

Servants (and Masters) all have character Alignments. They are more important in Servants because their alignment will determine whether or not they will take the action given to them by their Master. For example if Archer is a Lawful Good hero, then he/she will not take an action that will harm an innocent person. If on the other hand, Caster is a Chaotic Evil character, he/she would.

Appearance: 6 foot high, bald and black. His face consists of hard edges and he has a jutting cleft chin. He is heavily built yet not fat, but purely muscular. He normally wears a grey turtleneck and black jacket, matched with same coloured pants and shoes. His has dull green eyes. Keith is ambidextrous.

Personality: Keith is a cold and calculated killer. If one were to meet him, they would feel uneasy from his imposing stature just by looking at him. He doesn't enjoy small talk and normally talks things in a matter of fact tone. He doesn't gloat over weaklings, he merely tells them the truth of the situation before he blows their brains out with his .45 Colt Anaconda revolver. He is also an outright sadist, enjoying the death throes of despair and pain over a quick death from his prey.

Yet he doesn't rain wanton destruction on a whim however. He has a very direct and resolute goal of reaching the Holy Grail this time and will stoop as low as he will have to be to attain it in every way possible. The only reason why he wants the Grail is because he believes he can have it.

Weapons/Items: Colt Anaconda in .45LC Picture, a big gun for a big man. His gun was modified by having heavy weights added to the muzzle area, making the front part of the gun very heavy. This weight is to counteract the heavy recoil from firing such a big caliber. Normally it'd be too clunky to be wielded by any normal man, but Keith's strength allows him to handle the gun with a single hand. The reduced recoil means that he'll be able to fire at a single target repeatedly without losing a lot of accuracy.

Abilities: Evocation - Energy Siphon [Ability to steal and store energy]. He stores energy into his bullets, to be fired from his gun.

Appearance: 5'7" tall. Sleepy and fogged cerulean-blue eyes. Pale skin-complexion and bright, shiny copper-colored hair. Wears a white, shortsleeved blouse, a dark green skirt that reaches to just above the knees, a pair of dark knee-socks and a pair of shin-high boots. Has a pearlbead-bracelet around her left wrist. A distant, aloof and unattentive expression mostly covers her face. Christina has a lean, petit and frail-looking build, she does not boast any great physical endurance or strength.

Personality: She is a person who is neither caring nor unfriendly, neither mean nor nice. She seems ruled by logic and reason, preferring to do and act in the way which makes most sense and causes the least bit of both strain, pain and effort. She might look aloof and distant, lazy and unmotivated, but that is far from the truth. Chrstina always works with a plan and is careful to never act outside it's boundaries. She likes classical music, gardening and blueberry pie, she dislikes overly zealous people (in either direction), pyromaniacs and littering.

Weapons/Items: Sickle - Christina wields an average-sized sickle (which is too big for actual gardening purposes). This sickle is a reference to her family's "druidic" ancestors. The inside curve of the sickle is very sharp and the weapon is wielded in the sense of either decapitating or dismembering a foe. It does not hold any real magical properties but it's blade is etched with runes and glyphs nontheless. It is a family heirloom and a weapon of fine quality.

Abilities:
Gale - Using this ability will allow the creation of a strong, concentrated gust of wind, useful for knocking opponents over/down or shoving them backwards. It is merely a deterrent and does not cause any lasting damage, unless the enemy falls off from somewhere high (in which case it's the height, not Gale that hurts them).

Weasel's cut - In stark resemblance of the Japaense myth about the sickle-weasel, this ability creates a perfect 90 degrees vaccuum cut in the air, causing a massively violent cut. Unlike Gale, this ability can only cause damage and is a direct attack-spell. The cuts are powerful enough to shatter stone, however only one cut can be performed at any time, meaning they cannot be cast at two targets simultaneously, though they can be cast in direct succession.

Javelin - This creates a powerful, swirling, cone-shaped force of air. The cone's tip is directed at an enemy and blasted off from the caster. The swirling force is much like a drill and will easily blast through armor and (some) magic shields. The spell does however recquire that the target is immobile and has a long chant.

Fenrir - The wolf of Ragnarok, Fenrir is a large, strong, black-furred wolf with a fang-filled maw and sharp claws. When called upon to serve, Fenrir is summoned from his magic circle and comes to the aid of his Rider. He can serve as either mount or simply as a companion. Fenrir requires a large amount of Mana to be summoned. (Support)

Sword of Sigurd - The sword of her mortal husband which was used to slay a dragon, Sigurd's Sword is basically an enhancement magic which greatly strengthens and increases the power of Rider's own weapon. It also slightly alters the appearence and shape of her sword. (Anti-Personnel)

Abilities:
Birds of the Watch - This ability, related to the valkyries' servitude of Odin, allows Rider to summon forth a black raven to serve as a spy or observer. The bird is constructed entirely from mana and lasts for three hours, or until it's detected and destroyed. When it ceases to exist, all that which it has seen and heard will be transferred to Rider's memory, as if it was she herself who observed it.

Riding - Rider has the ability to, despite being a heroine of olden days, operate and use most any type of modern vehicles, with the exception of flying machines. She can drive both cars, motorcycles, scooters and so on. All that is required is that she spends a small amount of time touching the vehicle prior to using it, in order to determine how it works.

Appearance: 5'8" tall. Rider is dressed in a raven-black dress. Upon it are several pieces of plated armor, including a breastplate, thigh-guards and kneeguards, neckguard, a pair of armored spaulder/shoulderguards and a pair of plated boots, as well as a pair of large, heavy and plated gauntlets. The metal of the armor has a darkend brass and bronzen color to it. In appearence, Rider has very, very fair skin, a pair of cold and alert winter-sky blue eyes. Long, straight, golden-colored hair which reaches all the way down to the bottom of her back. She has a calm, yet stern, expression on her face. She looks and appears very elegant.

Appearance: Konoka has a rather youthful and sprightly demeanor and visage about her, her silken crimson red hair falls hip length in a straight, well kept fashion and her eyes are a deep brown, near black, always shimmering. The girl's fashion sense could be described as "Fashionable" even when wearing her school uniform, known for wearing skirts and thigh-high socks (If you're familiar with the term, Zettai Ryouiki you have it.). She's a decent height for a Japanese female, standing at around 165 centimeters (About 5'5") and weighs 51 kg (112 lbs). Usually seen with a smile around groups of people at school.

Personality: With people she doesn't know well or with people she doesn't feel deserving of being nice with, Konoka is a straight-laced and "to-the-point" kind of person, keeping conversations short and ignoring any and all small-talk. Initially, upon first talking to her, Konoka seems to be rather cold or blunt, tending not to sugar coat any of her words or attempt to make things any bit softer to the ears. However, after talking to her for a while she becomes a rather friendly person, though still maintaining a blunt and straight-laced personality. Though, Konoka has the potential for some moments of being flustered, like any person like her (Read: Tsundere), and would try her best to recover only to fail and get even more flustered.

Though, with certain friends, the general population of her school and with people she has to please to further her motives she can be incredibly sweet and kind. Sort of a two faced individual, though not necessarily in a bad way. Not impossible for her to warm up to others though. Has a love for beef and sweet things.

Weapons/Items:
Jewel Seeds: Strange jewels with magical properties, each color and type of jewel is enchanted to represent a certain element. Through these jewels, weapons and dolls can be made for the caster's usage. Normally the things they would be transmuted into are pre-determined due to the fact that the user isn't an Transmutation mage. The only reason for this type of magical "crutch" is due to the fact that carrying around weaponry or dolls would be too tedious and heavy.

Meister's String: Fiber-like diamond strings used to control dolls and reinforce weaponry and clothing. Incredibly hard to sever for non-servants. In addition to controlling dolls and reinforcing things it can be used to choke or bind people.

Dolls: Hand-made wooden or porcelain dolls that can be magically enchanted to be used as weapons when controlled using a type of string. Are known to carry weapons and have minor magical powers. Very annoying but not necessarily powerful when alone. Though some dolls are special and created with the intent of overpowering non-servant targets very easily, they are rare, heavy and sometimes have minds of their own, even without magic being fed to them through Meister strings. Most of Konoka's dolls are kept in her house, the dolls she summons while outside and unprepared are created from Jewel Seeds.

Abilities:
Enchanter's Eye: The simple ability to detect and use items that can be used or are enchanted. Basic Enchanter spell. Though Konoka has also practiced her eye to coincide with the identification of Noble Phantasms to aide in giving her and her servant an upper hand with identifying their opponents.

The Meister's Hand: Ability to control and create magical dolls of various sizes. Also gives the user an edge with being able to control strings and filaments, even extending to the point of controlling weak-willed humans.

Jewel Mastery: The ability to enchant jewels to be used as magical projectiles, or transmute pre-determined jewels to become a usable item.

Noble Phantasm:
Hard Labor: A false Noble Phantasm. Musashi was rumoured to have carved a bokken out of an oar and used it to defeat Sasaki Kojiro. Despite being wood, it is powerful enough to parry even other Noble Phantasms.

Ama no Murakumo no Tsurugi: Also known as the Kusanagi no Tsurugi it is a katana that is considered to be the Japanese equivalent of Excalibur. Not originally owned by Musashi it is a Celestial sword of fearsome power capable of feats of tremendous destruction. Similar in properties to Excalibur, though does not project a damaging beam of light instead it has a limited control of wind, able to send billows that are able to cut.

Abilities:
Thousand Swords: Limited Tracing/Projection ability used to create blades for use in battle. The blades are weak and will break after a single slash but are able to damage a servant. A maximum of twenty blades can be sustained at once.

Instinct: The ability to always "feel" the best course for oneself during combat. This heightened sixth sense is now close to precognition. It reduces by half any obstacles to vision and hearing.

Kamite: Ability to wield nearly anything vaguely shaped as a weapon with profieciency. No effects are placed on wielded weaponry, though it allows use of other noble phantasms that don't belong to Saber.

Appearance: Saber is dressed in a traditional martial artist's garb consisting of uwagi, a jacket-like kimono worn as a martial artist's top; zubon, the trousers that compliment the uwagi; Obi, the belt/sash that holds the clothing in place; Hakama, pants worn over the zubon to add additional protection, looks like a long skirt; and a haori which is a thigh-length overcoat worn over the Kimono. Her clothing is a very simple and plain mixture of blue and black. Clothing aside Saber stands around 5'5" and weighs 130 pounds. Her hair is black, though seems to have a slight blue tint and when down it's about mid-back length and is normally seen held up by a Kanzashi, Saber's eyes are similarly black like her hair.

Noble Phantasm: Afal am Elusen - An applewood wand fashioned on the island of Avalon. When activated, Afal am Elusen creates a bounded field around any target other than its wielder. Physical objects cannot pass through the field in either direction until it dissipates, although magic can pass unimpeded and an enchanted object could possibly break through. Effective both as protection for allies and containment for enemies. (Support)

Abilities:
Enchantress' Eye - Enables Caster to see the structure of most spells directed at her for a short time, giving her a much better chance at canceling them.

Enchantress' Grace - Weakens the next two spells cast at the target.

Enchantress' Word - Cancels any single spell for a fixed, large amount of mana.

Appearance: Caster's features are hard to make out beneath her black, hooded robe. In a good light it is possible to make out her pale hazel eyes. She is not as tall as Rider, only 165 centimeters. A few stray strands of midnight black hair sometimes work their way out of her hood. Her exposed hands are very pale and thin. She walks slowly and deliberately, with a certain degree of grace.

Saber it would seem.

Appearance: Standing about 5'9" with a lean build, David is clean shaven with close cropped brown hair. His bright blue eyes are the only part of him that detracts from an overall average appearance. He wares average clothing of the masses and keeps to himself mostly so as not to stand out.

Personality: David values his privacy above most other things, as such he does what he can to blend with the crowds so that no one thinks to look twice at him. He practices his magic in seclusion and rarely uses it to help others unless there is a benefit for him down the line. He tries to plan ahead as far as is practical for every situation, his participation in the grail war being the culmination of over 10 years of planing.

Weapons/Items: Analogue wristwatch, Mp3 player, Ruby pendant and matching ring on right hand.

Abilities:
Magical activity detection: Enchanted into his watch David has placed an enchant that alerts him when magic is used near him. The alert sounds much like a regular wristwatch alarm and unfortunately doesn't give any indication as to the direction source or type of magic being cast.

Camouflage: On his ring and pendant David has placed an enchant that will for a short period of time, bend light around himself. It is not foolproof but while active the enchant is difficult to detect with magic, especially when not looking for it and almost impossible with conventional means. If need be David can link the ring and the pendant for a stronger spell.

Well, you pick a class, then you TRY finding what hero fits. OR find a hero then see what class he can fit

By the way... anybody noticed we have no Good aligned Masters to fit the Good aligned Servants so far? xD

That's probably because, my dear almond-sauce, people prefer to be evil or grey-zone bastards rather than goody-two-shoes knights in white armor, at least in a modern setting. :P

Well, mismatched alignments do make things rather disadvantageous for the Servant. Good Masters would actually benefit from the spoil of 3 choices so far, gaining stronger Servants.
