Preface[i]IC

This is a remake of an old RP I attempted to make when the advance section was still no mans land. I have also attempted to chop it down to the important stuff but I have put a link to the original version for those who want to see it in more detail. Also it would be much easier to work this RP if your character moves around a lot for any reason(part of the military, ancient drug dealer, political leader, missionary etc)

Back Ground

The world known by its denizens as Elysarium was once a meeting place of the titans. It was a place where each god would come and share their ideas in one place. Mountains, oceans, animals, and the intelligent races were all created during this time. Then for reasons unknown to the mortal races the titan’s left entirely. Hundreds of years pasted without incident, but then a sudden and destructive war tore the peoples of the world apart.

Amor, a city ruled by blue blood elders, and the chaotic men of Remnis started the war. Both nations invaded the northern elf city of Irisis in the land of fire. Over the years the war raged rumors of elven genocide spread abroad. To escape the chaos many left their homes and attempted to make new lives in southern city states. Many managed to do so in Mooreland, but the doors of the dwarven city of Nors remained shut. At the end of the war the elven population was only a tenth of what it was before. All the elves who remained in their homeland were forced into a makeshift town called Coris under shared control of both the attacking city states.

Years since the first war ended tensions have begun building. A strange new race known of orcs have appeared amongst the ruins of elven towns. These orcs are claimed to be corruptions of life substance caused by the mass slaughter of the elves alleged to have occurred and the entire race was quickly enslaved by the imperial forces for a short time. But soon a small group escaped their work camps and began a campaign of guerrilla warfare. Despite most looking down on the orcs, the Democratic city state of Mooreland has used this as an excuse to investigate the fiery elven lands and purposely build tension. The dwarves of Nors seem ready to come out of their isolation as of recently they have promised to aid Mooreland in any future wars. Meanwhile other things of the world seem to be out of whack. A greater then usual number of shadow beast have been forming and attacking peoples of the world.

RULES

1) People may be in different locations which may be confusing to as who is where. To get rid of this you must put your location at the top of each of your posts(If you use multiple characters then put it above each characters set of actions)
2) If there is a disagreement on how anything in the RP is handled then there will be a vote held in OOC. Don’t be afraid to take things up against me, who knows your colleges may side with you.
3) You may have up to two characters but you must meet post requirements for both characters actions according to advance section guidelines(double the usual). You can avoid this by switching characters each post but any post that mentions both of your characters requires the double.
4) If you wish to use magic PM me. This is because the magic in the world is complex and won’t be used by most.

Playable Races

Humans- no need for description.

Dwarves- stereotypical dwarf

Elves- Elves in this world are purely of the dark elf variety. They are not referred to as dark elf because there is no other species of elf to compare them too.

Greater Shadow Beast- They have intensely black skin and bright eyes(blue red green etc). They usually appear to be some form of human mixed with animals. They are made from life substance of multiple beings and thus have dozens to hundreds of voices fighting for control. They also have the voice of Hueco, the dark titan, trying to control them. Greater shadow beast are simply ones that managed to operate without falling under Hueco's control.

Name:Ronald Harper

Race: Dwarf

Appearance: His clothes are almost completely made of animal furs or leathers which he had collected and produced during his extensive travels. The dwarf himself has short dark brown hair which lay crazily atop his head. He also has unevenly grown, and rather short, beard. His eyes are a dark brown.
Place Of Residence: Nors

Job: Tracker, and hunter

Age: 26

Personality: Who he is depends on who you are. If your and elf or even the thought to exist orc then he is a racist scumbag. If your a human or a dwarf hes the man who can get any job done.

History: Ronald had been commissioned by many rich to get wild and exotic animals to decorate homes. He himself however was never paid greatly. He has lived most of his life just trying to get by. Having to hunt for more then half of his food. At the closing of the first war Nors promised to help Mooreland should it ever engage in any war. Due to the fear of strike from the aggressive city states of Amor and Remnis rewards for information on them have been put out. Nearing the end of his youthful prime Ronald jumped at the chance to get more money. He knew little of what he wants, but he knows he does not want to be forced into a city job when he is nolonger fit enough to compete with younger and stronger trackers and hunters. He lives day by day hoping to get some piece of information that's big enough for him to retire on.

Name: William Augustus

Race: Human

Appearance: Appears to be a middle aged man of a poor build. His skin is pale and his eyes red. His hair is also a pure white. His facial features appear soft and kind. He usually opts out of wearing the usual clothes for men of his stature and instead wears loose cotten shirt and pants that are commonly worn to sleep. His royal clothes however is mad up of two layers. The first is a blue button up shirt, the rare dyes showing his wealth, and a red pair of pants. The second layer is a red jacket embroidered with various symbols of Royalty.

Place Of Residence: Amor, Corris

Job:Third Blue Blood of Amor

Age:62

Personality: He for the most part acts kind and passionately but he is known to be cold and distant at times.

History: As the third blue blood of Amor he has a great deal of say in how the city of Amor interacts with the world. He is some times said to have more influence then the first blue blood of Amor because of his friendship with the king of Remnis.

But the truly odd thing about him is that he was born a normal brown haired, green eyed kid. In his forties he began to grow pale and lose color all over his body. Like other albino's he has poorer vision in light which has led him to a less active life style then many of the other Blue Bloods. He was also a researcher of the volcanic environment of which the elves live in during the war. He is also the one put in charge of organizing Corris and spends most of his time in Corris Keep.

Hayle Nightcloud (pronounced Hail)
26 year old Elf
Appearance: On the shorter side of average for an elf, Hayle has dark red hair that she keeps cut to just below her ears and held out of her deep blue eyes by a thin leather band. She usually dresses in light coloured leather pants and long sleeved tops of plain cut. She also wares a hooded grey cloak but rarely raises the hood.

Place of residence: Owns a small shack in Coris but can rarely be found there.

Job: Smuggler & Thief.

Personality: Argumentative at times, especially in the mornings her tung having gotten her into many a scrap she could have avoided. Otherwise she is mostly calm under pressure and friendly if a bit reserved with strangers.

History: Raised in the ashes of the great war, Hayle's childhood was much like any other elven child during the time. Life was tough but she endured as she could, thieving became a major part of her survival in Coris Along with the occasional odd job that needed doing around the town. By her early twenties she had become reasonably well off by the standards of the town, a place to herself, a supply of currency, regular meals, part of which was due to several profitable trips to other cities.

Life hasn't changed much for her in the past 5 or so years, she often leaves Coris for smuggling runs or contracted thefts in other cities. (that sounds very disjointed and 'off' to me... might streamline it later when my heads more with it.)

Name:Strear Darrger
Appearance: Strear is tall at 6'3, and slightly muscular. He wears a white shirt underneath a black coat filled with pockets, which Strear always leaves unbuttoned. His pants are greyish, and contain a secret pocket which holds a knife. Strear's eyes are blue, his face naturally kind-looking, and his tangled mess of silver hair is mostly covered by his hat, which has a small circular brim and an inward curve at the hat's top. Strear has a large sword hanging from his belt, a broadsword three feet long and five inches wide. Inside the largest pocket of his coat is a collection of throwing knives.
Place of Residence: traveler
Job: writer, traveler
Age:25
Personality: Strear has a friendly personality, always trying to reach out to people. When he travels Strear tries to make as many friends as possible, and will almost never refuse a request for help. But when Strear witnessess any act of cruelty or malevolence, his personality changes in a snap, his eyes becoming daggers of a glare and anger filling his features. Strear cannot stand anyone being cruel, or fighting without reason.

I know, sort of a generic character, but I don't have a lot of time for thinking up an original character right now.

Job: Daughter of the 1st blue blood elder.
Age: 17
Personality: Kind, elegant, generally calm and lady like.
History: After his first wife died, the Richard King remarried, and had another child Anna. She has been brought up to be a lady, beautiful, respectable, all that. She's not entirely opposed to it, accepts her position, although she sometimes wishes that as a woman she could, hold more power. Possibly as a result of that she took up fencing a few years ago, and spends an extraordinary amount of time doing that, and has become astonishingly good at it to the point where she can beat most anyone who she fights. She doesn't do it because she wishes she could be a knight or something, its just more of a hobby, she has no plans of ever using the talent for violence.

Hey guys I put the IC up here you'll also noticed that I mentioned a tournament that I never mentioned before. I'm using it as a tool to prevent a slow build up that I've had in past games. As off now it will be mostly a background political thing but you can direct the game in a way that will make it more important.

Also you might notice some of my posts disappearing in the OOC thread. Thats just me clutter controlling.
