I realize this is a generic fantasy setting (and I mean that in the best way possible), but I want a little clarification on the state of technology. More specifically, whether the existence of flintlock pistols might be permitted to the wealthy.

Hemi: Thanks for the question. As of now, I believe the crossbow might be a bit of a surprise - so I don't think so. Something general about man's modernization chasing everyone else under the hill - you know.

However there might be some mechanical marvels in the way of iron weaponry and simple moving gears - inventions and the like? Just sans steam or gunpowder.
