Life on Earth has become cramped, polluted and ravaged by war. As their home world is torn and battered, many look to the skies and the myriad of planets that reside in the cosmos, searching for a new home. You are one such person, seeking to leave the blue planet for a better life. Eagerly, you take your family(if any) and the meager possessions that you are allowed and join the crew of men and women on the Seeker. It is a revolutionary new ship, capable of not only bringing its crew across the stars, but upon landing actually transform into a permanent base for a colony with living quarters, equipment storage and all the amenities of a colonization operation. Perils await the Seeker and her crew on their new home, bands of Snow Pirates use planets in the system for hideouts and bases, and the strange insect like species of the Akrid roam the planet with an unknown purpose, intent on killing any life form they come across. Knowing this, but undaunted, you fill out your expertise forms, give a blood sample and after being screened for disease, you tug on the tight protective undergarment designed for the long trip. You enter your cryo-chamber and lay back against the firm tube. Closing your eyes, you feel the powerful sedatives take hold and as you drift into sleep, you wonder what awaits you on the Frontier.

Not bad eh? Just a couple of rules.

1.Keep it realistic. Machines and VS' need fuel, guns need reloading, getting shot will hurt etc. etc.
2. No god modding. If a 200 story space bug tags you, chances are your not getting up anytime soon.
3. I encourage romance! Your single, and going to be seeing the same faces for probably the rest of your life. Do what comes natural.
4.Do your duty! Everybody typically has a job be it engineering or cooking. There are soldiers but try to have some diversity.
5.Keep your posts up to snuff! I hate it when one or two people ruin an RP with below standard posts.

Besides the usual outside gear, Vivi has a pair of heat sensing goggles she wears when she is scouting. When she isnt out, they sit atop her head. Her inside outfit is a thick black jacket lined with fur and black pants to match. She wears boots as well.

P.S-whats a VS?

VS stands for Vital Suit. What it is, is a large robotic suit, like a gundam but on a much smaller scale(Think between 7 and 10 feet tall.) They were originally designed as a construction and survival tool, but after discovery of the Akrid, they were outfitted with weapons.

Gear: Along with the standard survival gear, Oscar uses speacialy designed heat / T-ENG sensors. One half is normal / nightvision, and the other half is normal / Heat.
VS: Oscar uses a custom scouting VS. It's adapted for snow and has skies on it, allowing it to move fairly fast. It has a SMG on one arm, and a sniper on the other. Both SMG and sniper can be removed. It has little armor, which gives it extra speed.

Gear: Enviromental-camoflauge suit with necessary additions, such as Heating, zip-line/grapple hook. Custom-brand visor with Nightvision, heatvision and infra-red, powered by battery-packs. Portable CPU memory-stick, electronic lockpick, back-up batteries, combat knife, standard-issue army sidearm (pistol/handgun). May have additional tools/equipment depending on the mission.
Appearance: Is roughly 5'7" tall. Has a lean, trim and athletic build. She has raven-black, silken-smooth hair, with a pageboy-cut, usually one bang hangs over her left eye. She has azure-blue, like the winter-sky, colored eyes.
VS: XV-22.

Standard Arms:
Dual automatic gatling-guns.

Optional arms:
Single-arm Long-range artillery (88mm).
Single-arm Short-to-Medium-range flamethrower.
Single-arm MV (Mechanized Variant) cutter/sword.

Everything checks out, except profession. I doubt that a simple colonization operation would have a Spec Ops member on board. I think a simple soldier would be the better choice. Other than that, its fine.
