 Land of Aether OOC Important Details Someone has stolen a priceless heirloom from the Duchess of Aether, said to be harboring magical powers. The theft was blamed on a friend of Aleron's, and though she freed her friend from prison shortly after his arrest, she is now seeking vengeance and justice, so that her friend no longer has to keep a low profile. Ajax and Lola are now free to be used if someone would like to play them, as well as characters mentioned above [i.e. Beauregard Valdo, the Duchess and Aleron's friend - hence the vague information on them. The friend is a thief, however, but he did not steal the heirloom...to anyone's knowledge.  Just something to work with].Setting of Aether  The town of Aether is normally a cheery place, though there are rather dreary southern slums, just outside the town. There, one should be careful of pickpocket children and rabid dogs. The armory is not far from the slums, with rather humble prices [as to keep the amount of thieving down] and can offer most any kind of weapon whether it be iron, steel or even a few of mythril, as well as clothing and armor. Onward, one can find the apothecary's shop, the jail house, and of course, the Red Rose Tavern and Inn bordering the north. The tavern is the most popular of places, in spite of how it sets into the forest - making it dangerous to linger outside for too long. A river runs beside the town, separating the east side of town from the forest and leads to the ocean. A road at the northwest of the town leads to New Aether - which is mostly comprised of the richer folk, with the Duchess's residence being the large gated mansion at the farthest end. [note - Old Aether refers to the main part of town where the shops are located as well as where most of the lower and middle class live]  The forest is lush and green, providing plenty of dark hiding places and shaded areas for the inhabitants. It surrounds the city of Aether, as well as the road between Old and New Aether, and goes deep, separating the city from all other places. In the distance, the ominous spires of a dark castle can be seen over the top of the high canopy of green, where the land meets the sea. This castle is said to be abandoned due to the last family to live there dying out, and it's perilous location - at the edge of the high precipice overlooking the sea. No one has seen nor heard of anyone living in the castle for over three decades.

If its not any trouble, I'll pick up Ajax. (Little secret? This thread is one of the reasons I joined. ^^) I'll whip up a post sometime tomorrow afternoon.... or night. Depending on if I'm feeling frisky(long intro) or not(short)~ Luckily, its usually the former.
