Not So Everyday - OOC
In a city in mid-west America something is about to happen. A minor mystery virus outbreak has everyone on edge but with modern medicine it's treated as an inconvenience. School has just let out, and summer is in full swing. The lake has parties like clockwork and so do the warehouses in downtown. The Ridges inhabitants hold their own private balls and the like. Downtown crime is once again on the rise. Everything is normal...for now.

The average mid west town, only a little bigger than most. Downtown - Located on the southeast side of Cottondale it consists of bars, clubs, strip joints, and poor housing. The ghetto, slum, whatever you want to call it. It's the place where you lock your doors and drive a little faster when you pass through because of the 712 gang that rules it's streets. It is the biggest district in Cottondale and contains the Warehouse district as well. The Ridge - Located on the northwest side of Cottondale it is the land of the wealthy. The privileged few who live here do so in mansions and manners passed on for generations overlooking Cottondale. Gated communities are present here also, but the Ridge is one of the smallest districts in town carving out only a small crescent out of the northwest part of town. Suburbia - The second largest district lies between the Ridge and the Mason river. It's full of suburbs, public buildings and parks, and businesses and banks. 40% of Cottondale's population is located here, and all of the city's emergency vehicles such as police station, fire station, ambulance and hospital ect. Cottondale's only high school is located nearly in the middle of the town right next to the river. Mason lake and river - The lake is located in the northeast of Cottondale and is compromised of lakeside properties and unused land. The boondocks of Cottondale. The river originates from the southwest and is fairly large, it makes up the unspoken border of Downtown and Suburbia. Only two bridges cross the river, one in the southwest and one over the area where the river joins the lake, the southwest one is used almost always over the northern one. So thats the town where your character is going to live. One thing all the characters have in common is they have a nasty sick bug just as summer starts. Remember, no powers right off the bat, they'll come later. ~ Rules ~ I think we all know the usual ones, so do I really have to explain them to you? ~ Character Sheet ~ Name: Gender: Age: [16-20 I'll explain it later ok?] Appearance: [You may post a picture if you'd like, but if there is a little anime girl with blue pigtails and the skimpiest schoolgirls outfit walking around an average American city.....something, somewhere has gone horribly wrong. If no pic be very descriptive.] Changes/Powers/Abilities: [Gained LATER ON IN THE RP. You can have a maximum of two, but if you do have two they're not going to be as strong as a single one. Also a change might actually be nonbeneficial, such as if your skin turned purple or something.] Pros: [To deter godmoding, you have to approve them with me. So what's the pros of the changes?] Cons: [Yes, your not superman here, you have flaws. Don't make them so your invincible, like the only thing that can kill you is a nuke.] Background: [Your past and present along with future aspirations. Name: Rosemary Litton Gender: Female Age: Nineteen about to turn twenty Appearance:  Changes/Powers/Abilities: Rosemary, once her power is gained, will have the ability to manipulate small ball bearings [made of metal] into whatever she wants them to be. Another small change is her fingernails are always the metallic colour of her ball bearings. Ball Bearings, but they are silver... [Original idea goes to Firelizard] Pros: The Pros of the change...Hmmm...There arent any true Pros of this change. [Meaning I cant think of any] Cons: Cons of the change are now any time she experiences any type of strong emotion, the ball bearings begin to float around her. It makes her ability hard to hide. Background: Rosemary grew up in The Ridge. She is the only daughter to the Litton family. They own half of the houses on The Ridge and in Downtown they own warehouses. She grew up getting what she wanted when she wanted. On her eighteenth birthday, her father revealed he had bought her a house of her own in the gated district around them. He promised he would help her out and Rose loves the freedom of it all. She is now living on her own, but she still takes Daddy's money. Rosemary is thinking of going to college. She just hasnt decided where yet. Her mother is wary bout it, but Rose is dead set on furthering her education. Personality: Rosemary isnt a snooty rich brat. She can hold her own in an argument and she has a mouth on her. She was on the debate team, but only for a year. Her true passion is music. She loves to play the piano. Rosemary has very insecure. She doesnt want to believe anyone who tells her she is beautiful. The girl is also very down to earth for being raised by the Litton's, who were very snooty and stuck up. [[Hope this is all okay.]]

Name: Cameron Nakamura
Gender: Female Age: 16 Appearance: She has long light brown hair, wavy, and blue-green eyes. She's of average height and build, and can blend into a crowd in a second. She prefers to wear dark clothes, such as blue, black, and shades of gray. Changes/Powers/Abilities: She can heal surface wounds like cuts, even slightly large ones. Also, she can change her hair and eye color. Pros/Cons: There's a limit to how much she can heal, and the change isn't that good except for disguise. Background: She grew up in a small town on the east coast with her older sister (by two years) and parents. When her parents got divorced, she chose to stay with her mom, while her sister, who had just turned 16 at the time, chose her father. Afterward, Cameron and her mother moved to Cottondale, where one of her mother's old friends live. Cameron, unused to large towns and even small cities, ended up withdrawing even more. She's been living in Cottondale's Suburbia area for two years, now, and hasn't made many friends. Personality: She's very negative and pessimistic, always looking on the dark side of things. She rarely opens up to others, preferring instead to make sarcastic comments or none at all. She's a terrible listener, and can tune someone out in a second. If she's reading (which she does a lot) you have to get her attention before talking to her, she won't hear you if you just start talking. If you start an argument with her, expect her to not let it go-- even if you win the argument. On the plus side, however, she can be a great friend if you actually become her friend.

Name: Dingy Corner
Gender: Female Age: 16 Appearance: Very plain beauty with natural gold red hair and hazel eyes. Old torn up cloths adorn her body and she always wears a hat to shadow her face. Feet are also bare because they can't afford shoes and food as well so she is abnormally skinny Changes/Powers/Abilities: She will be able to influence people by touching them. Her power brings out the darker side of men/woman and destroying them with it. When she uses her power her hair turns pink and her eyes turn a milky white Pros/cons The power only works on the weak minded and can reverse by accident. Also she if someone touches the other person when she does that person gets affected too. The pros is that she can help heal people on the inside by giving them courage from the good side of them Background: Her parents live downtown in the slums with the gangsters, killers, and rapists. Her father is part of the gang and comes home at times covered in blood and drunk ragin war on the family and abusing them all. In the future she hopes to gain the courage to kill her father and all the other bastards that kill innocence for drugs and turf. Because she is bi polar she doesn't go to school and stays locked in her room and does her home schooling. She has two brothers who are in the gang as well and a sister who is only six. She goes to kindergarten and lives with their wealthy grandmother in another state Personality: Dingy hates herself, hates life, and hates the people floating around killing others. With this hate is a sense of wanting to save them, the people, and herself before things go crazy and she turns into another crazed teen on the edge. A suicidal or one of the sick people that get put into jail or mental institutions thinking hearing voices or such. The other problem is her rapid cycle bi polar that isn't treated because her parents can't pay for her medacine so she can go from angry to happy in minutes depending on the day. Because of this she stays away from people not wanting to infelct herself on them and often hides when others try to talk to her. The only friend she ever had is one that puts out her best traits. The loyalty and compassion that most kids her age have yet to learn

Here is mine. ------------------------------------------------------------ Name: JonJon Lapper Gender: Male Age: 17 Appearance: JonJon is 6"4 but very skinny at only 141lbs. He could use alot of muscle mass. His hair is almost blonde but still light brown, it goes a bit past his shoulders and is straight. He has moderately pale skintone and long limbs. Usually seen wearing very baggy cloths to hid his thin frame. Changes/Powers/Abilities: His eyes are extremely light sensitive, so much so he has to wear sunglasses to go out i the daytime. They are completely white and have a strange glow to them. Also has Teleportation. Pros: Can see in the dark extraordinarily well. Can teleport anywhere he can see. Cons: His light sensitive eyes hurt him very badly if light shines in them. He is blind without his sunglasses during the day. The teleportation is distance related, he cannot teleport too far from his point of origin or he risks killing himself, about a football field in length. Background: He has grown up in a single parent household with his stepfather. His mother died from complications after his birth causing his father to blame him for her death. He himself feels very guilty about it. His step father is a heavy drinker and often gets drunk at home or comes home drunk. The results vary on his drunken stupor, he could be mad or just sleepy. JonJon lives deep in Downtown and is no stranger to the gangs and violence that haunt it's streets. He really has no plans for the future, seeing as his current living situation is very dull. He plans on trying to go to collage and perhaps making himself a decent living. Personality: JonJon feels very guilty about his mothers death and is quite shy. He has friends, not as much as other people but his friends know how to put up with his social awkwardness. His stepdads behaviour has made him suspicious of things, he is jumpy and fidgety around loud noises and sudden movements. Quite and withdrawn but will put his say in if he needs too.

Name: Jenaveve "Jen" Vendetta
Gender: Female Age: 18 Appearance: Choppy layered blond hair with pink streaks. Big brown doe eyes with long lashes usually covered in mascara and eyeliner. Lush pink lips. Has her septum pierced and her lip double pierced on both sides [along with some ear lobe piercings]. Slender yet very curvy -- but stands only to be about 5'4", a little on the short side. Like this. Changes/Powers/Abilities: Jen gained the power to create psychic weapons. Such as, she could create a loud screeching of some kind that is only heard by that person [or group of people] to make the persons ears bleed or for them to even go deaf. Along with this, she has the ability to possess someones mind with her own -- where she takes over their body and can either help or harm someone or something. Pros: If someone who was trying to hurt her came along she could possess their mind after distracting them with her psychic weapons and then control them away from her -- or even control them to kill themselves. Cons: Using her psychic weapons gives her a headache most of the time so she tried to only use them in times of need. If she controls someones mind for to long she'll begin to bleed from the eyes and if she takes it too far from the nose as well. Background: Jenaveve grew up in a little lake house down by the lake -- she lived a seemingly normal lifestyle as anyone else -- only she had two mothers [Gwen and Linda]. Both of her mothers were artists that had met online. After a couple years of being together they desperately wanted a child. So, they opted for adoption and got Jenaveve -- the blond haired brown eyed baby girl of their dreams. They thought their life was perfect. Jen started getting older and after she hit puberty she started listening to rock music and taking an interest in writing and poetry. Her parents were thrilled. The whole family was artistically inclined. Basically, Jen couldn't have had a better childhood -- she was spoiled but not rotten and her parents loved her and she loved them. But, something in the back of her mind always ached to find the ones who had deemed her as trash and threw her away. Personality: Jen is a very open minded person. Bubbly and warm. She tends to make friends easily because she is in fact so friendly. Some of her class mates might call her weird because of her piercings and the different colored streaks in her hair. Plus, she spends a lot of time with her nose in books and writing. But, altogether, she tends to get a long with just about everyone.
