Name: Toshiro Rai
Age: 29 Description: He stands at 6'3", and weighing about 180 pounds even. His hair is just a convoluted mess of an organic jet black. His body is lean, and muscular, able to handle himself quite easily if he is ever caught without his sword or in closed quarters. His eyes are an odd, crimson red, almost blood like with faint black lines which run from the rim to the pupil. Personality: He’s fairly silent during all non-combat related situations. He won’t speak unless spoken to upon most occasions, and at times he won’t even talk to anyone even if they do address him. These times are usually when he’s severally pissed off about something. He doesn’t get mad often, normally his quick whit and cold tongue normally make others mad before he gets a chance to. When talking, it’s normally calm, cool, and collected, having an almost adding a silky texture to his words which irritates some men and seduces some women within seconds. History: He was and is the first Ronin, earning this title as he is the oldest one in existence at this point, and the best. After losing his Shogun, many of his fellow Samurai died in conjunction with their master. After deliberation, Rai saw this act as foolish and ignorant. After refusing to commit seppoku, he was branded as dishonorable and shunned by the people of his country, though no one would directly confront him about this... for they would probably end with their head rolling around on the ground like a bowling ball. Rai never showed any real interest in the Kami and the Moon God, but he’s slowly feeling the effects of the spirits and is now snooping around on this subject. Weapon(s): The blade is odd in the fact it's not a regular Katana, the blade has two sharp sides, the back first half of the blade as sharp if not sharper than the front. ![]()

Name: Kurou (Translation: Ninth Son) Akechi
Age: 25 Description: Kurou is of medium height, with long black hair, and deep green eyes. He is slightly built, but hasn't trained himself to his youth's stature in quite some time. he has an eye patch that attaches in 3 points around the back of his head to cover the tattoo of shame his brothers left upon him, having not removed it in almost a decade. His outfit is a white sleeveless shirt with an extremely loose turtleneck-like collar, with black loose pants and traditional block sandals, as well as a loose open skirt seen in ceremonial garb for samurai, comprised of two layers. The first, reaching down to his ankles, is white. The second, reaching down to his knees is blue and black, with various designs and kanji. His hands are covered in two gauntlets, one a mitsugaki (A three fingered glove) and a yotsugaki (A four fingered glove) both are longer and reach up to the midst of his forearms, made from strong leather. (Though technically used in Kyudo, Kurou Akechi has found it more comfortable to use the archer gloves for swordplay as well as knocking and firing a bow.) Personality: Kurou is a very laid back person, never one to do rush into battle. He still holds a grudge against his brothers (Not sure if they even remain alive in this new world) and as such can be cold hearted at times. He loves to sail, and as a gift of a silver tongue, but also has the gift of a good memory. Over the years he has mixed both Kyudo and Bushido into one art form. His dislikes include nobility, as well as employed and honored samurai, as well as those that have been branded Dishonorable just to fight the Kami (Them nearly numbering in the thousands, like a battalion with the sole purpose of destroying Kami). He finds those people to be fakes, not understanding what true Dishonorables go through. History: Kurou was the ninth son of Feniksu Akechi, an honored warrior who had retired into a simple life of merchanting. He grew up being picked on by his older brothers, who increased their taunts and jeers as he grew in his training, surpassing even the eldest. At the age of 15 he had been accepted into his shogun's personal guard, but by a stroke of luck he had been assigned to the outsides during a great battle, missing death by a few parchments of paper (The assigning of different duties from the palace that caught ablaze). After fleeing and refusing sepuku, he was marked as a traitor by his own brothers. He became a ronin on the seas with a man who owned a boat and crew, and over the years Kurou fell into piracy, only taking from the rich. He trained with both a bow and an odachi, until he had perfected as much as he could (it harder to learn two fighting styles instead of focusing on one in particular). He only stole from the nobles, finding the life to be honest, never thinking twice about it. This is what he continues to do unto this very day. Weapon: A traditional Kyudo bow, as well as a well crafted Odachi, a larger version of a katana. Note: This is just an example. Subtract the over done boots, gauntlets, sword, and cross, and add an eye patch. XD ![]() |

Name: Akira (Translation means Intelligent) Irouse
Age: 23 years old Description: Akira stands at a height which could be considered as above average for a young female her age. Her jet black hair reaches to her waist and is usually seen tied up in a high ponytail with a dark colored ribbon. Matching with her black hair, would be her pair of dark amethyst eyes. Her body is more to the slim and slender category, though she does have subtle features of muscles within that slender body of hers. Her looks are androgynous, as she was blessed with sharp features along with that feminine beauty of hers. Because of this, many people who had met her would mistaken her for a man with a beautiful face. The only indication she was indeed purely female would be her voice. The wardrobe she would be usually seen wearing is just a simple female version of a traditional hakama, a pair of split toed socks upon her feet as well as the traditional wooden block sandals. She also wears a tight sleeveless shirt underneath her hakama. The odd thing about the hakama she adorns herself with would be the intricate embroidery and designs upon the outermost cloth. The hakama consists of two layers; the first layer being a rather thick white layer of cloth and over it would be her red thick layer with golden embroidery and linings. The embroidery ended with a phoenix design upon the back of her hakama. Upon her left hand, she wore a black fingerless glove over her hand. Personality: The first word anybody could think of while describing Akira would be that she holds such a thick air of mystery with her. Oddly enough, she seems to always adorn this forced yet sad smile upon her face despite whatever emotions she would be feeling inside. Only when she is engaged in battle or suffering a state of deep depression that her smile would be gone from her lips. She isn’t a very sociable person, as in she’s not a person who would usually start conversation or join one among people; but when she would be talked to, she would respond and doesn’t mind a good conversation once in a while. She would avoid subjects touching to her past whatsoever. She likes to drink good sake as well as the simple traditional tea. What she dislikes would be the flirtatious men who would seduce female for their own gains or because of their lusts. Her fighting technique is rather unique as she had mixed the ways of Kenjutsu with her own techniques; which she claims she had almost perfected it. History: Akira was born to her father who was a well-known warrior during his times, as well to a mother who was a daughter of a rich merchant. The young daughter was fascinated by the ways of Bushido and always wanted to follow the footsteps of her father. But her father would refuse, only giving excuses and reasons that a female can never be a warrior and that she should stick to being a proper lady. But being very young, she was very stubborn and always insisted with her father to teach her how to handle the sword at least. Only after persistence from her did her father reluctantly agreed and then she was taught how to handle the sword. Strangely, when Akira had picked up her first sword, her father had found she had a huge talent while handling weapons. It was there that she was trained and mastering any weapons possible which she could get in her hands. When she reached the age of sixteen, a Shogun was impressed by Akira’s skills and talent that he decided to take her as his own personal guard. At first, everything was going very well until Akira’s Daimyo became quite intrigued with Akira’s beauty. Over the duration Akira had served under him, her Daimyo had fall in love with her while she would always see him as her master and not allowing herself to see further. Even when her Daimyo had confessed his love for her, she kindly refused despite she had some feelings for him in return. Soon after, her Daimyo was engaged in a fierce battle but her clan she belonged to lost in the battle along with her Daimyo’s life taken. It was there when she managed to reach to him before his last breath that he had asked her to flee and that he wanted her not to commit seppuku on herself. Taking his final wish, she had fled from the battle and was then banded as ‘Dishonorable’ for not committing seppuku, as well as she did indeed loved her late master despite she never confessed her feelings for him. Weapon: A twin set of katanas, one being a shorter blade than the other. Both swords had black sheaths with intricate golden designs, as well as both having golden hilts. ![]()

Oh... my.... God....
SIGN ME UP!!! Name: Tachibana Shiori Age: 19 Description: (No picture, sorry!) Shiori is about five foot six in height, with long black hair that's often tied in a bun, gray-ish black eyes and has fair skin complexion. Despite her body having a regular build, she's actually quite strong for her age. She has kanji-shaped scars that run down her left arm that say 'Foolish little black sheep'. Her youthful-looking appearence often makes people believe that she is only thirteen years old and is just pretty tall for her age. Her clothes consist of a black and red kimono, regular wooden sandals, white tabi socks and a white, decorated fox mask that hangs on the left side of her head. Sometimes, but not always, you can see her wearing a coolie hat (a straw Asian farmer hat) but she usually keeps it tied her bag and doesn't put it on unless she is traveling. Personality: Although she is a generally light-hearted and clever person, she can be ruthless, rash and sometimes insensitive when on the battlefield. A perfect example of this is when she kills someone in cold blood and shows no remorse for her actions. It's almost like she has a split-personality. Sometimes pretends to be naive and playful so she can confuse her enemies. Her likes include sleeping, poetry, stories, food, sleeping, listening to music, foxes, food and staring at plum and cherry blossom trees. Her dislikes include extremely arrogant people, people who criticize others for their differences, people who are "too clingy", very cynical people (they drive her insane...) and Kami. History: Born with noble blood, Shiori was one the members of Japan's most famous samurai clans, the Tachibana clan. Despite all of the manners, education and chores she had to put up with, she always had time to play with her cousins and friends from other noble clans. Life back then was absolutely peaceful. But, at the age of nine, the Kami came in the middle of the night and slaughtered all of her family and servants without a second thought. She managed to escape by hiding in the closet of her parents' room until she figured it was safe to come out. However, as she was escaping, a Kami was about to kill her, when her father stood in the way of the attack and he himself, had died. The blood from his fatal wounds splattered onto Shiori's face and clothes. Highly traumatized, she climbed out the window and ran as far away as she could. She only looked back once to find her obliterated home blanketed in flames caused by fire Kami and then, turned away and ran. She found shelter at a temple where a family of Shinto priests and priestesses lived. They cared for her for two weeks, until she had heard of the presence of a daimyo living in the village. Knowing she must avenge her family, she escaped and, disguised as a boy, she went up to the daimyo's home and demanded that he teach her the Way of the Samurai. At first, the daimyo was reluctant, but he eventually decided to take her in. For four years, she undergoed brutal physical training and exasperating long hours of learning literature, the Code and the like. She did not become a "full-fledged" samurai until she was fourteen years old. On the day of her "graduation" ceremony, her true identity as a girl became discovered. The daimyo was enraged, not because of her gender, but because of how disobeyed one of the most important Bushido codes of all -- honesty. As punishment, not only was she branded a Dishonored, but she was tortured by the people who taught her everything to know about being a samurai. A wakizashi knife was taken and buried deep into her left arm where the carved the kanji that translated "Foolish little black sheep". They then beat her and threw her outside of the house in the rain. Since then, she has been roaming around Japan earning money by delivering letters and packages while killing Kami along the way as well. Weapon: A katana with a red and gold hilt and the Tachibana family crest engraved into it and a regular wakizashi knife that she often dual wields in battle.

Name: Eijiro Tansho
Age: 20 Description: (Sorry no pic!) The most astonishing feature is that he is blind, he wears a black scarf tied over his eyes that was given to him by his mother the day before she died. He has shoulder length straight black hair that usually comes down over the sides of his face. He always carries his shamisen on his back when playing he keeps his hair pinned up with a hair pin. He wears a simple but clean black kimono. When his scarf is removed his eyes have a whiteish tint over what used to be beautiful green eyes. The rest of his face is very pleasing with an angular chin and smooth jaw-line. Personality: He doesn't really like people, who often treat him as a child or a parasite due to his blindness. This distrust of other people along with his unique ability to attract the Kami with his music has lead him to be labled as Dishonorable whenever he spends any length of time in an area. In the last three years since he lost his mentor he has not gotten close with anyone. When he was with his mentor he was still quiet but always had a smile on his face whenever she was around and was an extremely kind and generally gentle person although when he makes up his mind on something it is set... never to change. History: Eijiro grew up in a blacksmithing family in a small town in the mountains that was attacked by a local shogun when he was seven for supposedly providing food to a man the shogun wanted dead. Only Eijiro survived (having been hidden by his loving mother during the attack on the village) although the ash and cinders of his burning village rendered him blind in both eyes. Having stumbled around the countryside eatting grass and bark for weeks and in his semi-delusional state he was able to see one of the kami whom he followed until he passed out. When he awoke he was warm and smelled food. This was how he met Kotone, the woman who would be his mentor and guide through the world for the next ten years. She taught Eijiro hope, how to walk without his sight, music, and how to live with himself in the light of his horrible childhood. With her death at the hands of a rouge kami who had been attracted to his music he vowed to discover the origin of unrest within the world of Kami and has been travelling the world paying for his life by playing his beautiful music. Weapon: Although Eijiro doesn't really fight although he has a knife hidden in within the neck of his shamisen for his personal protect. He uses his shamisen to help bolster his allies and can also use it to mesmorize audiences and attract near by Kami to his position. In a dire situation he can also use his walking cane, which is was given to him by his mentor for his tenth birthday and was carved, by Kotone herself, from the branch of a Ume (Japanese Plum). The handle is carved in the form of a fox, his favorite animal which had been the guardian spirit of his village. The wood of the cane was treated in a special way that gives it more hardness that normal wood. A shamisen: ![]() |

-nod- No problem, Aer. It'll be good to have you in another RP I'm in, especially one focused on swords. We usually rock these things, lol. Anyways, to answer your question out in the open (Too lazy to go to the Inbox again) I posted the IC at first in OOC, then deleted it and put it up here. Yes, I can be an idiot at times. -_-;
