Alright, The setting is a post-alien invasion wasteland as I explained in the Interest check. After a war with an advanced alien race, Earth and Humanity are devastated. We won, but only by using nuclear weapons to destroy everything. Now, all that is left are ruins and dust, populated by a scattering of humans fighting for survival as well as the radioactive wasteland mutants. All the aliens are dead, but some of their stuff is still lying around or has been taken and put to use.

Players can be pretty be whatever they want, even being mutated to some extent. However, mutation comes with it's own complications. There is only one slot that I would like to fill and anyone that wants to can apply. Otherwise, fill out a character sheet. Feel free to join at any time, since this RP should remain open, due to it's setup. I will be working as GM and will oversee peoples interactions and basically act as more of a ref and director than anything, mostly by directing NPCs and world interaction. That's not to say that you aren't allowed to direct things yourself, I am just there to control minor characters and move the story forward.

Bio: Information about you

Weapons and equipment: Any weapons you have found, with ammunition where applicable, and any other gear.

Mutations (if any): Any gross or awsome disfigurations.

Misc: Anything else?


Mutations could come from radiation, alien technology, birth defect, or who knows where else. While they can be useful (Super strength and the ability to jump over wrecked skyscrapers is pretty great) but you never know what weakness you'll have to deal with (An aversion to light, an inability to see, who knows). Mutations are risky buisness and the strength of the defect useally corresponds to the potency of the abilities.

The Abandoned

Name: Cari Herec

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Appearance: Cari.
Some things to add. His hair is a lighter shade of black than in the picture, as well as with a blonde tinge in it.

Bio: Cari had a decently good childhood. His family was labeled as upper middle class, and he was able to live comfortably. He moved with his family to America from Europe when he was seven. They said that New York held more opportunities than anywhere else. Cari lived from then as a normal European student in America.

Until the aliens attacked at his 17th year of living. During the war, he joined a local militia where he and the group used hit and run tactics to a failing degree. Slowly, each member was killed one by one.Then the nukes flew. Luckily, one of Cari's comrades, Geoff, foresaw this and constructed a bunker that would survive the explosion and give them minor protection from radiation. It was located on a high mountain top that at the time was covered in snow. My story is going to take place when he leaves the bunker.


Weapons and equipment: Two ice climbers picks, a combat knife, this, steel-toe boots, ski-goggles. He also has a military grade MP5 and a USP that he got from his friend Geoff. He has three full magazines and one half empty and three magazines for the pistol.
--In his backpack he carries around 4 bottles of water, an energy bar, 4 apples wrapped in ceram wrap, and a blanket/pillow combo, and MP3 at full charge.

Mutations (if any): He doesn't know it yet, but his left arm is slowly mutating due to radiation that leaked into the bunker. What will happen to it is that it the skin and muscles will harden, as well as become inflamed. However, this is more along the lines making a shield for him. It will become numb to pain.
(I like shields.)

Misc: Well, Cari does have an MP3 player, and he is constantly listening to the song Selkies: The Endless Obsession.

Good. Kingdom is accepted. I will accually make his statement about the time period cannon, that is to say, the aliens attacked about 5 years ago and it did not take us long to nuke them, along with everything else. So things are all pretty recent but are settling in as people adjust.

Name: Rachel Johnson

Age: 23

Gender: Female

Appearance: Due to alien experimentation, Rachel is no longer her lanky, green-eyed self. While she was always considered tall, she now towers over most at just over 6 foot tall and her lean body ripples with powerful muscles. Starting at her neck, just behind her ears, her skin has changed from pale and freckled to scaly with a green hue. Her fingers and toes are webbed and taper off into sharp claws. While her face remains largely unchanged, her eyes are now yellow and slitted and her teeth are sharp and pointed. Her hair is brown, cut short in an untidy way. In an attempt to hide her mutated appearance, Rachel wears long, loose black pants, a dark long-sleeved, light-weight hoodie (with the hood usually up) and fingerless gloves. Her feet are bare because she could find no shoes to fit them.

Bio: Before the invasion, Rachel lived with her father in a small apartment on the fringe of the city. He was killed in the first attack. When New York was taken early in the war (sorry, only American city I know really), Rachel managed to avoid the raids and joined an underground rebel group. They did what they could with the little they had, rarely engaging the alien soldiers instead, targeting their supply routes and sabotaging small grounded ships. In doing so, while not actually killing many of the invaders, they made themselves targets. Near the end of the war, due to heavy losses and poor planning, they were captured. The aliens killed most of the rebel group on the spot, but took some, including Rachel, for experimentation. In Rachel’s case, they had been attempting to make a human hybrid with one of the most evolutionary successful species on the Earth. The crocodile. The process itself almost killed her. When the bombs began to fall, New York was one of the first cities hit. Luckily, the ship Rachel was in at the time was airborne, but the fallout caused the ship to crash into the ocean, killing almost all on board. Rachel was one of the lucky few to survive and quickly discovered that her mutation came with a minor setback. Namely, a primal rage. She killed each of the surviving aliens with her bare hands before swimming ashore. She has been living in the rubble of New York City ever since.

Weapons and equipment: Rachel carries a backpack filled solely with energy bars and bottles of water. Currently, she has seven bottles of water and around 25 bars. She has no need for weapons.

Mutations: Along with her obvious physical mutations, Rachel is now extremely strong and fast. Her thickened skin also provides her with some extra protection. The side effects to this forced mutation include an almost uncontrollable primal rage that often takes over when she is angry or hungry, she needs to eat almost constantly due to the energy her body now burns and she becomes dehydrated twice as fast as a normal person. She is also sporadically wracked by overwhelming pain that spreads through her entire body. These episodes can last a few seconds or a few minutes.

Misc: Though she doesn’t know it, the pain is due to her body rejecting the mutation.

Name: Snark O’Bright

Age: 23

Bio: Snark had been a typical teenager rebel living on the streets for a very long time, his central life being within a gang. He was popular within the gang, often seen as the joker while his only real motivation within the gang was pleasing their gang leader. He had an extreme fancy towards the gang leader, so much so that he took on the role as secondary leader while he followed in his leader’s footsteps closely. His tattoos upon his face and arm were a symbol of his allegiance towards the gang, showing them off proud where ever he went.

Five years ago, when the aliens attacked, the gang was subsequently captured by the aliens and experimented upon. The aliens were trying to change the gang, trying to transform them into weapons of war against their own kind. Throughout the short gap that the aliens were at war with the humans, the entire gang all except for Snark were killed either by being used as weapons or from the experiments. Snark was never really tested upon, after showing very little improvement apart from his disfigured skin and incredibly tough claws on his skin; he was put aside, only to be forgotten about when the aliens continued to fight. As the aliens were thwarted by the intense weaponry the humans used, Snark’s body took in an incredible amount of radiation from the weaponry. Even though he survived, the experiments he suffered through finally began to react.

Snark began to mutate rapidly. While his body didn’t take on a large change in appearance, his cellular structure was changed drastically. His mutation brought on a cannibalistic hunger, even the toxic waste was used in his quest to satisfy his stomach. Food was digesting rapidly, building up energy until his body would begin to show more physical mutations. While extreme hunger was common amongst mutants in the wastelands, a rapid mutation like his was a rare sight. Nowadays, he wanders, trying to satisfy himself and regain purpose in his life that never really existed in the first place.

Weapons and equipment: His claws; he has no real need for other weapons nor does he have any equipment.

Mutations (if any): Along with the mutation in his arm, the mutation can spread and cause his arm to increase in size and strength rapidly. While the growth can only be limited to his arm, it has been
known to take over his entire body in a incredibly painful transformation which even causes his organs to go through mass failure as he mutates; this immobilises him and makes him extremely vulnerable. When in his fully mutated form, he becomes violent and will try to eat anything that moves. While his body appears to be covered in a hardened coat like armour, his underbelly is incredibly soft. His full mutation only lasts for a short while, his exhaustion being a limitation. While he may look durable in one arm, the rest of his body can be considered 'squishy'.

Misc: His full mutation can be ‘tamed’ and put under the control of another, someone who displays the will to control him or family values. His body is continuously mutating as the mutation within him advances; his eating and remaining calm is the only method he knows to control it. He is 'mainly male' simply because his mutation changed more than just his appearance and major innards, there will be more as the story goes.Mid-transformation

Name: Jason Klerk

Age: 21

Gender: Male

Appearance: Jason and his Suit. he's only wearing a skinsuit made of synthetic fabric under it.

Bio: Jason was head of a group of scientists, technicians and Veteran soldiers employed by the US army to build them a specialized 'super' suit.
they were on a Carrier stationed near hawaii and Jason's team had already build several prototypes of the exoskeleton/Armorsuit. there were problems with the energy, weight, armament and cost ratio. it was just too expensive, and without a strong portable energy source just a bulky piece of metal that requires hulking muscles to move in. but as the aliens attacked, the Carrier received new orders to support New York. while the Carrier was moving, the Researchers received the first piece of alien Technology: a small generator. they copied and rebuild the generator to a portable version and build it into the newest prototype. suddenly it worked, and Jason tested it himself.
the nuclear explosion silenced the cheering of Jason's team, the Carrier started to sink, and the sole survivor thanks to the suit managed to escape on a boat. a rogue missile.. poorly aimed destroyed all his friends and his entire world in a blink of a second. the suit is heavily damaged, but miraculously still working. he reached land and continued to travel towards new York (first post will be about him Reaching New York)

Weapons and equipment: The suit is made out of an advanced exoskeleton, supported by artificial fiber muscles embedded in newest light weight fiberglass polymer, all covered in hardened steel plates. along with that the helmet has six cameras linked with a screen inside, with information and Heads up display with several vision modes implemented. The suit is supposed to be radiation protected, but that is theory. with all that and his own life support system including air filtering it is strangely adept to a nuclear fallout. besides the suit he only carries a pistol with 2 magazines. he didn't have time to pack any food or water.

Mutations: Jason doesn't know, but he was caught only 200 meters away from the explosion, so he can only hope not. (don't worry, only negative mutations. don't know yet what exactly I'm going to do.)

Misc: when Jason hit land he started repairing the suit, and that basically ever stops. he repairs, modifies, implements alien technology or weaponry into the suit nonstop. the suit basically makes him Stronger, more enduring and offers high protection, but he's not faster and EMP, any kind of electricity and water are serious dangers.

Nope, that is actually a pretty good character. I have one question though. The nuclear explosions occurred over 5 years ago. If you intend to start with Jason reaching a recently destroyed New York, you will be playing 5 years before the rest of everyone else. You could instead start with him after he has spent some time in New York or you could start with him reaching New York and then fast forward 5 years to the present day to when he's doing whatever he's doing. Figure out what you want to do and then I will look that over and likely accept your Character.
