The Terrean Project knowledge base

Equipment:


Armor:
All armor is dark and camouflage patterned. Rank insignia is put on the shoulders and chest. All armor is made completely out of bulletproof materials.
Light::
Lightweight armor with thin armor plates on chest.

Medium::

Armor with armor plates on chest, shoulders, legs and arms.

Heavy::

Heavy armor with heavy plates all around. Gyrostabilizers is integrated into the armor to help with extra-heavy weapons.

Helmets:

Standard helmets are compatible with all armor types.
Night and thermal vision.
Mapping – map is shown on visor.
Communications

The mapping system shows the area map and all frendlies on the area. Mission objecives are also shown on the map, complete with a compass pointing to the next objective.
Helmets are voice-controlled; they are capable of picking up even the smallest of whispers.

Medical:

Medikit::
Contains:::
- A nanobot injection gun – the nanobots fix tissue damage and kill bacteria and viruses. The shot also contains painkillers. 20 shots in the gun.
- Synthetic skin – A patch of skin that becomes part of the patient’s body as soon as it touches them. 30 patches
- Coagulation spray – sterilizes and coagulates the blood, sealing wounds quickly. Apply synthetic skin afterwards to close to wound properly. 4 small spray bottles.
- Painkiller shot. - A shot containing strong painkillers. 5 shots.
- Bandages. - Strong all-purpose bandages. 30 feet of bandages.
- Items required for surgery, such as a scalpel.
- A bottle of sterilization liquid. – Use to sterilize skin prior to surgery.


Weapons:

Gauss::
Handgun – 30 shot clip – laser sight – semi-automatic.
Silenced handgun – 30 shot clip – infra-red sight – semi-automatic.

Assault rifle - 100 shot clip – fully automatic – laser sight.
Silenced assault rifle - 100 shot clip – fully automatic – infra-red sight.

Shotgun - 30 shots in feeder – semi-automatic.

Sniper rifle - 20 shot clip – high calibre bullets – scope – semi-automatic.
Silenced sniper rifle - 20 shot clip – semi-automatic.

Machine gun - 350 shot clip – high calibre bullets – fully automatic.
Heavy machine gun - 500 shot clip – high calibre bullets – fully automatic – Requires heavy armor to use effectively.

Sub-machine gun - 60 shot clip - fully automatic - laser sight. ((looks like the modern P90))
Silenced SMG - 60 shot clip - fully automatic - infra-red sight.


Weapon additions:

Gyrostabilizer
Grenade launcher
Thermal sight

Explosives:
Grenades:: All grenades can be either thrown or used with the grenade launcher.
- Fragmentation
- Flashbang
- Incendiary
- Acid

High explosives::
- High explosives package - can be triggered by a timer, a remote detonator or a proximity detonator

EMP:
EMP generators::
Small EMP generator - basically a grenade.
Medium EMP generator - A generator weighting about 10kg. Can be fired every 5 minutes.

Misc.:

Scientific:
Omniscanner 3000: A commercial scanner combining a multitude of scanners, able tp scan pretty much everything. Rather bulky and complicated
Portable scanner: Military grade scanner used to check air, food and water for toxins and bacteria. Also able to scan mineral samples. Quick and easy to use. Lightweight.

Computers:
Portable combat computer. A 30cm*20cm*3cm computer with a touchscreen and a keyboard that can be drawn from inside the computer. Comes with a multitude of wires to connect to all kinds of computers and machines.

Are there any other kind of explosives, other than the grenade launcher?

Maybe like some basic detonator types, but also maybe more high-tech ones.

Terrain::
Mostly rocky ground. 2 large oceans and pleny of rivers.

Vegetation::
Small fungual vegetation has begun growing all around the planet thanks to terraforming.

Atmoshpere::
Able to sustain human life, but is still too thin to be ideal.

Weather::
Storms are common near the oceans. Heavy rain falls often.

Colony::
Main colony city sustaining 100 000 people. Large mines near main colony, mines produce various metals and gems.

What about a portable computer? Maybe some sort of device for manuipulating computers?

No SMGs either?

The mapping on the helmet systems - do they just have a map of your surrent area, or are there blips indicating objectives?

Furthermore, are there blips indicating friendlies and enemies?
