Name - James Q. Murrey

Age - 23

Appearance - Always dressed in his neat gentleman suit, he always comes off as one. A real gentleman. On his face is a small soul patch and moustache, which hold the same colours as his hair: dark, dark brown. To most people James looks cold and distant, but for those who know him, he is a kind and warm person. He's very serious and barely laughs, but when he does, the faint smile is engraved into your mind.

Bio - Work, work, work. Whenever he can, he works, to much people's dismay. Luckily for them, he isn't married or engaged to anyone. He lives alone in a large villa, which he inherited from his grandfather. The Murreys are an old family who have been in the same business for years: custom-made cars. The cars are excellent quality vehicles and therefore very expensive. He took over the business when his father passed away, and he puts his entire heart and time into it.
The fact that he isn't in a relation doesn't mean he doesn't like girls - he's still young and he's quite the charming young man. It might be the money, but girls like him.

He can often be a controlfreak, but it's his urge to lead. Leading is in his blood and he loves it more than anything else - commanding others, making decisions.

Sunglasses aren't part of James' outfit, but he hates driving with the sun shining right in his eyes. On one morning, when the sun had just risen above the horizon and James was driving to work, he was temporarily blinded by the bright sunlight, which nearly ended up in a collision with a pedestrian.
He isn't easily scared, but right after the near-crash he parked up near the town center he was travelling through to find a shop selling glasses. It's there where he found 'the sunglasses' that ended up revealing the truth to him.

James only responds and takes action when he believes in something, and with this information he sought contact with people who have answers. A friend had heard of the Resistance, but he didn't believe in it personally. James wanted to give it a shot, and after a week he was in contact and joined up with them.

Welcome, Quencey. Just a heads up to everyone, after Luke (my character), goes to a resistance meeting for the first time, that is when everyone else should be showing up. Our characters will all meet eachother there.

It probably won't happen until my third post. I'll put my second one up tonight. For now, just flesh out your characters, and their reactions to the new world around them.

Julianne was studying psychology at university when she met the love of her life, Duncan. He was an english major who made her laugh and took her to movis she loves without ever asking. They fell completely and utterly in love within weeks, even their friends liked each other. After three years of being almost joined at the hip, they decided to get married and six months later, after both receiving their degrees went off for a quick private ceremony and a long relaxing honeymoon. It would have been anyway. If Duncan had showed up.

A week later Julianne is back living with her parents, devastated and completely at a loss. There had been no clues, no signs, she knew Duncan had loved her as much as she loved him, so why? After a long time of self lothing, one day a friend mentioned to her that she thought she had seen Duncan entering a club, looking like a tramp. She made short work of finding the address out and headed off to search for her answers...

Just to let everyone know, these are the signs that showed up in the movie, and they will be the ones we use. They show up on billboards, magazines, newspapers, etc.

OBEY, SLEEP, MARRY AND REPRODUCE, WATCH TELEVISION (Or Watch T.V. ... I forget to be honest), and on money can be found the words "THIS IS YOUR GOD"

If I'm forgetting anything, please let me know. It is important that you use at least one of those when describing a sign your character is seeing. Thanks.

Other important tidbits - The aliens use a watch that allows them to communicate to their base of opperations, it also allows them to teleport to the base. When they teleport, they simply vanish without a sound before your very eyes. To communicate, they lift their watch towards their faces, and talk into it. You never actually hear anyone talking back to them though. To teleport, they turn the dial on their watch.

Remember that the resistance is small at the moment, so you won't be seeing a whole bunch of people walking around in the know of what is really going on around them.

The sunglasses you wear are the only kind that sees the aliens. They're black, and kind of plain looking, but they were cool back in the 80s. If you happen to see another person wearing glasses like yours, (and this is a rare thing) then it's safe to assume that they're seeing what you're seeing. It doesn't necessarily mean they are a resistance member, though.

Again I stress the fact that you should wait until my character learns of the resistance before having your own character join it. We'll all be meeting at the same place, at around the same time.

There's still plenty of room for newcomers, and the rp is still in the early stages, so give it a shot if your up for it.
