He had to save money for a very long time to actually be able to do it, but he finally could and now he is a walking reminder of himself to himself. She learned her father's tolerance for difficult work and his ability to turn even trash into something useful, and gained her mother's sense of humor and firey temper. When her parents found themselves well-off after several research grants, Alicia was sent abroad to learned of other cultures in the latest premeir school; the International Academy. Since arriving, Alicia has been plagued by strange dreams in which she runs on all fours through hot savanah grasses, laughing eerily into the wind as the smell of blood rises around her... *sniffs* I love you guys... you're all accepted! I'll be making a listy of charries now as soon as I'm done making my character.
Name: Zoe O'Farrel Age: 18 Gender: Female Nationality: Irish Grade: 12th - Senior Appearence: Zoe has red bobbed hair which is always covered by a green and white "Kiss Me, I'm Irish" baseball cap. She is five foot 6 in height, has light blue eyes, creamy skin complexion and usually wears unique-looking t-shirts, sweatshirts or hoodies, baggy jeans (in cold weather) and baggy shorts. She will also sport a sharp-looking belt and gray, white and light blue shoes. Personality: Zoe's a rather upbeat, easygoing yet quiet and reserved individual who happens to have her fair share of quirks. Her quirks consist of being slow in social situations and life in general and has an awkward obession for sports, action movies, heavy metal music and violent video games. Her tomboyish personality often makes people label her as weird. However, her personality also draws up great respect from some of her peers. Despite her bittersweet reputation, Zoe tends to think of herself as a pathetic lowlife who believes the world revolves around her. God(dess): Macha (One of the three Morrigan trio) - Goddess of war, death and fate Mythology: Celtic Power(s): Can see, sense and hear the souls of the dead, slight clairvoyancy, good with evasive manuvering and temporary intense strength. Background: Zoe has lived a rather busy life. As the daughter of a widowed traveling archeologist, she travelled around the world with him and her five older brothers (whose intrests she picked up from) and has learned many languages including English and Italian. Her father put her and her siblings in the Martin Luther King Jr. International Academy when she was in second grade because he knew they had to get an education and didn't want to have to do two jobs at the same time. Zoe was always left out in sports and other games by her siblings typically because she was girl. Because of this, Zoe has always been used to being by herself and had developed quite an independant personality. Recently, she feels that she's going out of her mind because she keeps seeing "dead people" floating around the school campus. The reason Zoe has an inferiority complex is due to the fact that she's "highly observant" of her own actions and believes that whenever she says or does something that most would consider "selfish", is actually hurting the people around her. Trivia: - "Leave Out All the Rest" by Linkin Park is her theme song - Is not a morning person, whatsoever. - She has an obsession with the Finnish symphonic metal band, Nightwish. Awesome idea for a roleplay... and when I saw someone join as Horus, I just had to write up something for Set.
Forgive me if the bio is a bit long.Name: Shadrach "Shad" O'Connor Age: 17 Gender: Male Nationality: Irish-American Appearance: Standing only 5'2" and with a lean, wiry build, one's first impression of Shad is likely to be "weakling"; however, he can move with explosive bursts of power that often surprise people. His skin is tanned and is covered in a variety of scars, most of them on his arms, chest and shoulders. As far as looks go, he is somewhat boyish looking, with angular features and sharp green eyes set underneath thin eyebrows. His hair is auburn red, and is cut at the nape of his neck in a choppy, layered style. His clothing style gravitates between "punk" and "gothic," with the only constant being the pocket-knife that he carries with him at all times. As well, his ears are pierced with several rings and studs, and he has a nose ring. Personality: An introverted person by nature, Shad's father has shaped him into quite the rebellious teenager. He has a jaded attitude and a brusque, blunt manner, which tend to piss people off; a lack of empathy which makes him not really care that he pisses people off; a quick temper, which he tries to rein in, but which often leads to him punching the people who piss /him/ off, and a boatload of trust issues to top it all off. In short, he's not the most pleasant guy to be around. God(dess): Set. God of chaos, war, storms, deserts, and foreign lands. He was infamous rivals with Horus, and was widely regarded as evil. Mythology: Egyptian Power(s): He can control minerals—sand, gravel, rocks and even boulders—with varying degrees of efficiency, and he can call up gusts of air on a whim. Background: Shad's home life is something which is best not discussed... or at least, not around Shad himself. His mother committed suicide when he was still just a toddler, leaving his father—an unstable man by nature—with two young sons to take care of. Though a kind and loving father to Shad's older brother, Joshua, he used Shad as an outlet for his aggression. He blamed the boy for everything, from his own problems at work to the death of his wife. Shad, for his part, grew to become very resentful of his father, as well as his /beloved/ older brother. He ended up venting his frustation at school, by defying teachers and brawling with the other children... but that only succeeded in angering his father, earning him harsh punishments. With time came experience, and he learned that fighting wasn't worth the punishment he inevitably recieved. Instead, he grew calculating. He began provoking his father subtly, defying him in small ways, making his bitterness known. He did everything he could to make his brother's life hell, but Joshua remained stoic through it all, which only pissed Shad off further. At times he thought of killing his brother, of cutting him into bloody little pieces and tossing the remains in a river somewhere; the idea simultaneously repulsed and intrigued him. At around this time his father was beginning to crawl out of the deep rut he'd been in, and he realized just what Shad was becoming. But rather than actually /correcting/ the mistakes that he'd made with his son, he instead made arrangements for him to transfer to a new school in Italy—far, far away from his brother. Thus Shad is due to finish out his last couple years of high school at the Martin Luther King Jr. International Academy. Little does he know how much he will actually learn... Trivia: He /hates/ being called by his real name, and very few people even know what it is. Consequently, his father insists on using it 100% of the time.
