This was originally Zodiac Balance but a plot/setting twist happened and I decided to revitalize it or something.

So what will happen in this story, basically there are people (you), living relatively normal lives until one day they discover that the dreams and nightmares they have been having were all actually memories of a life they once had. That these people were not actually humans to start with, that they were part of the Zodiac, creatures whose goal is to maintain the balance of worlds.

The Zodiac was summoned to Earth to fix the balance of humans and encants (as in faeries, mermaids, sprites etc). But before they were even settled, they were trapped, sealed and killed in human forms. They were then reborn into the world as humans. An earthquake destroyed the huge seal and so they began awakening (thus the title). The conflict, to start with, is fitting their new life to their old ones and vice versa. Second goal is to survive, for when the seal was broken they had also freed the Null Prince and with their leader free now, they'll wreak havoc again.

We have two somewhat enemies, the Null Balance, who believes that Nothing is the perfect state of Balance. We'll know them by the red crosses that appear on their eyes when adrenalin or passion kicks in. The Neo balance is all about creation. Thy have all white eyes. The Zodiac people get a silver ring inside their pupils and a gold one outside. So two rings. Yay.

I'll put the complete history at the end of this post.

Need to Know Stuff
1. We're using the old IC of Zodiac Balance. It has records of the sealing and the history of each Zodiac.
2. I don't like spammers. As in those people who post one paragraph or three sentences pretending to be a paragraph every after another person's post. Please.
3. I'm nice. (Haha. )

What characters do I need?
1. You can play normal people who are friends with the Zodiac.

Virgo the Untainted: One who reverts all corrupted creatures to original state. (The Null Balance corrupts them, drives them to destroy)

Sagittarius the Seer: One who sees through all disguises

Pisces the Saviour: One who can revive a race by resurrecting a "worthy" pair.

Capricorn the Tempter: One who can create illusions of ones innermost desires

Gemini the Mimic: One who can copy perfectly, body and mind.

Cancer the Shield Bearer: One who creates impenetrable barriers

These characters are the Zodiac you will be before. It's up to you to create a human person to be.

Anyway, here's the promised History or the previous plot that might help you understand the plot even more.

Story:
There has always been the battle of good and evil, of creation and distraction, even black and white. Always, always there are two sides of that coin and of that battle. What no one knows or what no one realizes is that there is more to it than just the force from either of the two. There is always the one in the middle, the gray area, and as it will be called in this thread, the Zodiac Balance.

Hard as it is to accept, there cannot be good without the evil, no day without the night, no pleasure without the pain... and so there is the secret group who maintains this delicate balance. They are called the Zodiac. They stay firmly between those who destroy-the Null balance, who believe that nothingness is the perfect state of equilibrium, and the Neo balance who creates and fills everything to the brim and more.

Embark on an adventure as one of the Zodiac, as they are called forth to keep the balance in a world called Earth, as humans continue to drive the Enkanto into the abyss.

The Zodiac has been summoned in Earth. The humans have driven too many creatures, the Enkanto or Enchanted, into hiding or worse, extinction. There are less and less fairies, sprites, spirits and creatures in this world. The scales have been tipped too much into creation for the humans and into destruction for the Enkanto. Once the scales reach too far, Earth will fall.

Characters:
I will need people to fill up at least five of the twelve zodiacs. There are a multitude of worlds, and so it follows that we have also a multitude of creatures. You are free to create any such creature and world as long as he or she or it does not become too powerful. One thing that is needed of these characters is the fact that they are outcasts or people with no alliances. These creatures, for whatever reason have severed ties with anyone and everyone. This is needed for them to be able to perform the duties of a Zodiac. They should be able to destroy those who disturb the balance without remorse or more importantly, without hate.

World Origin: Erien
Race: Amihan (winged creatures) They are the ones who transition life, they are there during births and deaths of the other dwellers of the world. They are almost never seen though.
Description: Looks mostly human only she has white feather wings and shifting eye color and pointed ears.
Build: Slim
Eyes: Usually silver or storm cloud gray but it reflects the color of the surroundings. Like water.
Skin: Alabster white
Hair: Long, knee length hair that curls at the end. It is platinum blonde.
Height: Five foot eleven
Weight: None. She is weightless.
Appendages: Wings and no tail.
Clothes: An airy and fitted silver-white dress that mimics the color of her surroundings. An off shoulder blouse with slit sleeves that is gathered in a cuff-glove like thing at the wrist. It is attached with a ring on either middle fingers and vees into the wrists. Her back is completely covered. Her abdomen is shown. The blouse extends into a skirt that reaches her ankles. The dress is slit on either side from mid thigh down. She doesn’t have shoes.
Creature background: This woman fell in love with a Ragat, a merman. She ended up severing ties with both her race and theirs. She is now in the middle. She has no wings but she floats everywhere. She always looks like she’s underwater. She glides everywhere.
Her dove wings are hurt and melted by salt water and strengthened by the sun. They are retractable,
Personality: This woman is emo, there is always a certain melancholic look in her eyes. She is painfully realistic, very blunt and frank about everything. She hates pretenses and deceit. She comes from an aristocratic family and so is a snob without knowing it. She can be humorous in a very very sarcastic way.

Occupation: Police woman in the... department in charge of kidnapping.
Appearance: Five foot seven, normal athletic build. Dirty blonde hair, dark blue eyes.
Personality: Always keyed up. Competitive. Hmmm... sporty. A little tomboy-ish and she has a cursing problem.
Background: Hippie parents... only child. She dislikes flowers etc. Go figure. Imagine her life.

Age and Earth Equivalent: 24 going on 200

Zodiac: Aries the White Knight: One who can hold the other to their word. Once a verbal agreement between them has happened, you cannot break it. Breaking it would mean death.

World Origin: Serptenz

Race: Seraphs (serpent creatures) that tend to live in groups of five. This race has a humanoid upper body from the waist up. The waist then trails off into the body of a snake. Seraphs have extremely large arms, which they can use to propel themselves even faster. Facial features of the Seraphs mirror that of many reptiles and snake, but tend to favor look and features of the Boa Constrictor. Though they also have a second form when traveling out of their home world, and though it still does not appear human; it does have the basic traits and appendages associated with a human. Seraphs also live an extraordinary amount of time due to the process of shedding, which unlike regular serpents not only sheds dead skin, but also duplicates and replaces the old one. This keeps them looking no older than 25, but also reverts them, when finished, to a younger state.

Height: Height in terms of Seraphs is measured usually from head to waist, since below the waist is on the ground.

Creature background: He lived in a group of five with his family, but was soon ripped from them by an attack by another clan.

Personality: He is a very sly talker, his words coming out smooth and refined. He is almost never angry, but hates when people take advantage of his tranquil demeanor, taking it as a sign of weakness.

Occupation: Student, but also goes around delivering the Word to people.

Build: Slim, but extremely muscled.

Personality: Very awkward when he speaks very shy. Also he is a Vegetarian. Nice kid with good intentions.

Background: Lives with a loving family. Is growing into a responsible adult.

- human form: looks human except for her eyes and slightly pointed ears (that are not hairy in anyway)
- wolf form: white fur with a body of a great wolf (no human-like resemblance at all)
*transition is ala Blood and Chocolate human->enveloped in light that forms a->wolf

Eyes: Purple/Midnight
Skin: Pale
Hair: waist-length black hair
Height: 6'
Weight: doesn't care to know
Appendages: none :P

Clothes: black leather armor beneath a thin layer of white armor (she wears only her breastplate, greaves and vambraces --which are molded to her body like second skin) made of a metal stronger than tungsen or titanium but extremely flexible (something like that), all of which she wears beneath a black coat not cloak.

Creature background: found herself in the middle of nowhere in the plains of England. Barely remembers her past and gets only momentary lapses of clear memory -most of which involve blood on her hands and the sense of rightness. In England, she is cared for by a human female whom she came to consider as her mother. She carries no ties to any race because she had cut them off before she erased her own memory. She never killed while her human mother was alive though her strong sense of justice called strangely for death. She's a mercenary of sorts. She doesn't kill for coin and kills only those who deserve death.

Personality: practical and a bit obsessive-compulsive, she likes having things in order; detests deceit and can tell when someone was doing/thinking wrong due to her heightened animal senses. Scenting fear is her best and worst skill --best because she can immediately know your fear even when afar, worst because it excites her.

Occupation: student Teacher and Assistant School Librarian
Appearance: good-looking woman --tall, athletic build, light blonde hair and blue-purple eyes (i.e. dark blue as to be almost purple)
Personality: helpful and personable, shy, likes the quiet, strict on rules however --she snaps when someone breaks them
Background: lives alone (usually in the library XD ---she likes books that much), weary of males because the male population in school have a crush on her XD

World Origin: Fuego Eternia
Race: Succubus

Description: Rather tall for her build, Zali has deep pitch black eyes with silver rings in them - which is the only thing that illuminates her very unique yet entracing eyes. Skin is of the palest of pale - paler then the moon but smoother then milk. Body forged of flames, she is a hot-blooded creature with long crimson hair with black streaks.

Clothes: More of a BDSM participant type of look, she wears a leather corset and a short leather skirt with fishnet stockings, long heels and a black mesh jacket over. Spiked bracelets are around her delicate wrists and she has a tongue ring as well as her belly pierced.

Creature background: Succubus are very seductive demons - their equivalent being Incubus. Sex Demons if anything.

Personality: Despite the type of creature she is, she isn't very interested in enticing others unless it pertains to her mission/job. At times she upholds a vow of celibacy but her passionate fire and her outspoken-ness attracts men more then her body does - surprisingly!

Age: 19
Occupation: College Student
Appearance: Short and skinny young woman but with the sweetest smile that would melt most hearts. She has square glasses that graces her very delicate face. She has bright blue eyes and long blonde hair that's in two long ponytails.
Personality: She is very nice and sweet to all she meets in all honesty. Isn't rude and very cautious of her words, mindful of people's hearts and opinions unlike her Zodiac counterpart. She's very intelligent.

Creature background: The Saerpe are of two clans, both Cierli and Daela sorts. They run in "packs" and have a strict justice code. During the centuries, there have been two major camps of thought on how the Saerpe were to survive. The Cierli side of the argument was to cohabit and comingle with the "humanity" of their world in order to hide their differences, thus thinning blood and dissipating the packs until only at times are Saerpe traits distinguishable. It is not thought to be a bad thing to have some Saerpe in one’s blood line.
However, the Daela saw things differently. On their home world, they are feared by citizens and often hunted and killed. Their abilities to transform into anything makes it almost impossible to tell how many of them exist. Their pack identity remains very intact and very traditional/ritualistic.
Personality: Amel is a young Saerpe in the grand scheme of things (despite the inclination of the Saerpe to be physically/sexually mature by age four, leading to a prolonged adulthood), but rather inclined toward genius in vision. This ability to see things at a higher level than those who surround it make things difficult for Amel to survive even in the pack. Amel is a work in progress, inclined toward a sober disposition, aloneness, and a rather strict code which Amel expects everyone to understand without having to be told - so therefore often seems disgusted by the actions of others.


Human form: still up in the air - possibility as follows:
Male, looking to be age 19.
Slender young man with long neck, dusting of freckles upon his nose, short dark hair, and large, dark eyes, with fine, intelligent features. Tends toward aloneness. Student with double major in biology and anthropology as well as minor in psychology at university - finishing up his masters in self study - neuropsychology, emphasis on brain sciences. Currently working in research project under Dr. Debra Holmes.

Post your intros. Anyway, maybe two more posts of intros and lifestyle then we all meet in the university. Not as Zodiacs yet. Since my character is a police woman in the kidnap whatever department they can come visit school to investigate missing people. These people disappeared because of the Nulls, they were corrupted and then some.

So college people please mention missing people etc.

@exquisite taste, raze, and closetmonster: may I suggest that we all go to the same university? yet never met, since that's a possibility anyway since we all don't go the same circles in school, ne?

@al:glad you like the idea. now, how many people should go missing? or rather, is there a specific type of person that gets kidnapped? like the similarities between these missing people?
