SD. 350. Humanity has refined its hyperspace engine at last, increasing the scope of trade, colonization, and exploration. New solar systems have been tamed, new races have been discovered, and more trade than ever has begun. Of course, while all this is well and good, a dark side exists in the heart of progress, like a pimple on the teenage face of social advance.

Space Pirates. From the sneaky smugglers in their fast ships to the great pirate armadas of the south, space pirates now rule the various systems. They've got many foes - rival pirates, bounty hunters, and the navy, but nothing short of a hive minded bug race invasion will stop these folks.

Welcome to Deep Black, an RP about space pirates! We'll sack merchant ships and dodge battleships together, all in the blackness of space. We need different people to fill different jobs, so this'll be a limited player RP. Here's who we need:

1. Captain - Yarr! The Captain calls the shots, and drags everyone around. I'll take this position.

2. Hacker - This is our computer savvy tech guy. He or she will hack us through locked doors, into loot-heavy safes, and viruses into enemy ships.

3. Combat Specialist - When it comes to combat on foot, this guy's king. Knows his or her way around firearms, other weapons, and unarmed combat.

4. Navigator - Cold day in hell that we set sail without a Navigator. This person knows how to work the radar, has knowledge of the sectors we travel in, and generally knows a lot about whatever world we're sailing over.

5. Cook - Feed me. The crew gets hungry, okay?

6. Mechanic - The go to guy on ship repairs and modifications. Knows ships and ship parts inside out, and a genius at his/her craft.

That being said, here's my character!

Name : Richard "Rich" Brockford
Position: Captain
Age: 28
Race: Human

Appearance: Richard is a pretty tall fellow, with short black hair and piercing black eyes. He's relatively muscled, having been a marine before.

Personality: Richard is a very determined and slightly eccentric individual. He depends on the speed of his ship, the hardiness of his crew, the aim of his weapon, and the flexibility of his morals to get the job done.

Short History : Rich was born under two spacer parents in a cargo frigate, and he stayed in space ever since. When he was 18, he signed up with the Earth Federation Marines and underwent incredibly rigorous training. Fresh out of training, however, his unit was sent off to fight the Slyther Wars, solar systems away. He managed to survive numerous encounters with the savage lizard men, and came back home with some serious trauma.

Not wanting to go back onto the front lines and relive the nightmare, Rich signed up for ship work with the Navy. He rose through the ranks, and eventually became an officer on the Destroyer class ship, the Wind. Once again, his timing was poor, and he ended up thrust into the Colony Wars, fighting against his own species. Rich's fleet was decimated, and his ship nearly crushed, but he awoke on the Wind to find himself the sole survivor. Disillusioned with the Navy and fighting wars, the young officer stole the ship and removed its ID tags, claiming it for his own.

Now, one year later, he has assembled a crew and truly made the Wind his own, as well as a small name for himself as a space pirate.

Summary: The Wind is a high speed Destroyer ship, perfect for quick getaways from the Federation Navy and pirate gangs alike. It has enough weapons to threaten an average merchant ship, as well as fighters for skirmishes.

Some Rules!
1. No god modding, autohitting, or the like.
2. Don't bunny(control) another person's character without permission. Just ask!
3. No one liners! Come on! At least one paragraph!
4. Please be literate. I beg a' you.
5. Romance is allowed, but don't do anything bannable. (At least that stops this from being Tension Cruise...)

Name : Sean Jacobson
Position: Hacker
Age : 23
Race : Human

Appearance: 6'1", medium length brown hair, green eyes. Doesn't look like a hacker should. He just wears a muscle shirt showing off his slight case of...muscles. Dirty blues jeans, his only bear and brown combat boots. He wears a key chain with about 10 flash drives all holding different programs and what not he might need.


Personality: Sarcastic up front. Tries not to be too into himself when it comes to his computer skill. Although he hates it when someone tries to act like they're better than him when it comes to hacking. Though it really helps, he loves a challenge.

A Short History: There aren't too many paying jobs that allow Sean to do his favorite thing. Hack. Sure he could be a computer programmer, but where's the fun in that. He gets a thrill out of stealing information, tracking people, and all that 'illegal' stuff. So he decided to join a pirate crew, thinking this can't be any different than pirating music or software.

Quirks: Laughs in unnecessary situations. Loves watching code run, so instead of sitting down to a nice movie, he grabs popcorn to watch the ship's main system run.

Appearance: Pretty girl, long silky black hair, nicely shaped body, green eyes
Personality: Kind of shy, new to being on a ship, a little afraid of the whole thing
A Short History: Just got out of school for being a navigator, so probably not very good. The captain probably hired her cause she's hot
Quirks: Kind of spacy, tends to forget things, which is probably why she got a lot of Cs in college, but hey, she still got the diploma right?

Personality: Nice, Kind, Sweet, Calm, Smart, Odd
A Short History: Her father was the old cook on the Wind and she had alway been by his side learning the ways of cooking. He was killed by a rival pirate. Holly has been the new cook since. She loves cooking for all the people on the ship who she has known forever but she want to get back at the rival pirate who killed her father.
Quirks: is the best freaking cook this ship has ever had!!
