Pentagon, USA


"Unidentified object is coming straight to Earth. Destroy the target at any cost"
Never was the pentagon in such a state of emergency. Technicians were running around waving papers and statistics, military men stood by awaiting orders.
"This is no good. Contact the Russians and the Japanese at once."
Within ten minutes, three holographic monitors were set and the three greatest political and military leaders in the world were ready to begin.
" Mr Grozny, Mr Kojimoto. Thank you for being able to contact me on such a short notice."
" Mr Konners, we are both very anxious about what you have to tell us. It's been what, 50 years since the last meeting?" replied Kojimoto.
" Well, we have a serious problem. About a week ago we found an unidentified object in outer space with a course straight to Earth. We thought then, judjing by it's size, that it was an alien spacecraft. Alas, it was not."
" Then what was it?" asked Grozny with his heavy accent.
" It is a comet. With the size of the USA."
" That is impossible" said Kojimoto.
" I would like to believe so Mr Kojimoto, but our pictures say otherwise. Anyway, the point now is, do we hit it with something?"
" Of course!!! Plasma beams will be ready and operational within the hour" said Kojimoto.
" And our nuclear missiles are at your disposal" said Grozny.
" Thank you. In two hours we'll hit it. I hope this will not be the last time we cooperate."
" We hope the same." they both replied.

Too bad it was the last time they spoke to each other.


Year 2550, 2 days before The Eternal Slumber Plan

So it began.
After the hit, the comet was almost destroyed, with only a very small part of it still in course. The specialists said it would fall into the Atlantic ocean.
They shouldn't have left it. With the impact, a deadly and unknown virus was released, killing the 2/3 of the population of the planet in 2 days. The survivors were led to underground shelters, where they waited for a plan. And the plan came.

Apparently, the world's governments, fearing the possibility of a global destruction after witnessing the cruelty of World War 3, prepared an action plan for the safety of any survivors: Big cities were made in the most secure place: The Internet. Replicas of New York, Tokio, Moscow and other major capitals were created in domains on the internet. The plan was called The Eternal Slumber, named after the second part of the plan: People would be placed in cryogenic sleep, while their minds would be digitalized and uploaded on their domain of choice. The domains communicate with each other, so people would be able to keep in touch with their friends in other domains.
The people loved it.
Mass uploads started, and the plan was a great success.
For then at least.
Some time after the third upload wave, they realized they didn't take into account the residents of the net: viruses, trojans, malware and the like. They manifested in the form of infected beasts or even humanoids, and at first they caused big trouble. Fortunately, the Net Protection Squad was created, an army of trained soldiers adept at recognising, imobilizing and neutralizing dangerous programs.

And the people waited for the cure to be found, while being protected in their digital sanctuaries.

Until...

"Alert. Virus attacks in port 1. Communication with other domains is now lost."
" Send the Containers and the Deleters along with a squad of Programmers to port 1 now!"
" Sir, their numbers are huge!!! And their programming... I've never seen such lines before!!!"
" Alert. Outer Firewall has been breached."
" Shit. He don't have much time left. Record a transmission for New York domain"
" Five minutes remaining!!!" somebody shouted
" God have mercy on our souls"

Ten minutes after, the Athens domain disappeared from the Pentagon 2's monitors.
"Sir, we lost the Athens Domain!"
General Carter raised his head from the blueprints he was looking at. "Summon the Net Protection Squad at once."

Appearence: Long black hair, 1meter 87centimeters height, 80 kilos weight, dresses in black all the time.
Personality: Serious, he rarely laughs or makes jokes. He is the duty follower kind of guy.
Background: Aqua was one of the first survivors to be uploaded. He has lived most of his life on the New York domain, where he joined the Net Protection Squad when the first hackings started. He is a skilled soldier with a high sense of honor, and he has never abandoned his men during a mission.

Name: Christof Sno.
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Appearence: Rather tall standing at 6 foot 3 inches and weighing roughly 235 pounds he seems to be a tank to most people. He is muscular, but not to muscular as he doesn't work out alot.
Personality: The man is very quiet, often keeps himself to himself and isn't to keen on talking to unknown people. Although when he is made angry his world is changed upside down, he becomes really agreesive and a possible threat to whoever angered him. Also very proctective of friends and people he knows.
Background: Growing up in the America was tough for him and his family as they orginal came in from North of Scotland, they were placed in a house that was in a run down ghetto and this played a major part in Christofs character, he was also a kind guy until one day he was picked upon by a group of older boys, for being a goody-two-shoes. This was quickly ended as he smacked the leader of them. Thats was the worst choice he may have done as this now forced him to become quieter and quieter as people became scared of him.

Personality: Fancy. Talk with the brains he has, and the wit he contains. He is still nice, and not stuck up.
Background: Born in Alaska, living in the cold desolate world. His life was easy, apart from the normal hardships of alaska. He was sent from town to town, with his traveling family. Until the virus.

Before anyone freaks the hell out about this profile, I got permission to create it.

Username: Marl
Age: 35
Gender: Female
Appearance: Here.
Personality: Has displayed a certain demented joy with creating issues for the systems. She seems off, quite insane, but still in possession of a sharp, articulate mind, able to analyze everything that's going on around her. Side with her, and she can give you just about anything. Cross her, and she'll show nothing but the worst.

Background: For twenty five of her years, Marl dedicated her time to learning the computer language. She worked hard to crack any code, develop her own tools, and at the same time, provide security to important firms across the globe. She was heralded by many in the underground world as the "Greatest Felon Ever" for all the work she did breaking security codes, though she herself never preformed anything illegal. When the incubation time came, Marl uploaded special programs into the hard drive of her pod, which would be activated when her brain entered the place.

Almost immediately after being uploaded, Marl cracked into major mainframes, routing the data through multiple servers to keep from being discovered. She only opened small holes, leaving bits of data here and there. After these events, she vanished off the map, mingling into the various groups around the planet. The NPS lost her trail, the initial investigation running into a hitch with viruses swallowing up all the data available regarding the break-ins. They were simple units, but they preformed their job, leaving behind nothing to work with.

The identity displayed above has not been confirmed as Marl, though it has claimed to be the woman. She often appears after a virus infection that has ravaged an area, picking up any leftover data that may be useful. Her purpose for doing so is unclear; in fact, the reason for her work is almost unknown.

The case of this woman is top priority for all NPS. If identified, command is to be notified immediately.

Well, she's gonna be one... but I don't want to reveal any more of the plot cause that's just spoiling/ruining the fun.

BTW I might have some trouble posting cause I'm not in my house these days. I'll get back tomorrow tho so bear with me for some hours. I'll prolly start the RP tomorrow as well.
