Eighteen months ago one of the biggest engineering projects in history has been completed. An artificial earth. It was contributed to by every nation on the planet. It is a little bigger than the moon. It was created once many of the nations decided not to impose regulations on the number of children someone can have but still needed to find an answer to over population. The solution was New Earth. It looked good on paper but after six months it was clear that no one would give up their lives to “test” this new world. So another solution must be found. The answer genius in its simplicity. The prison population was growing too so why not send choice prisoners up into space. So the governments didn’t want to turn New Earth into a prison. Since they have started trawling through every file of every current prisoner looking for good candidates, then they were interviewed and give them a choice, New Earth or jail. Needless to say many of them chose New Earth.

They law keepers are called the NETP which stands for New Earth Trial Police. They are often called Shotgun by many of the citizens of New Earth. They are seen as brutal by the citizens of New Earth and called efficient by their bosses on Old Earth. There is a Resistance group to the NETP saying that they traded their old home for freedom and that the NETP make this more a jail than a home should be. The resistance is called Splee, among other things. The Splee look just like average people but the Shotgun almost always wears black suits with a red button up shirts underneath under their jacket. The Shotgun are made up of Old Earth cops such as Swat Team and hand picked criminals. Both of the groups are seen as dangerous by everybody else.

New earth is much like Old Earth, businesses apartment’s homes parks and such. There are also under levels for more housing or storage or for other things. Most of the citizens are reformed, some aren’t. This is a pretty free form RP. Feel free to PM me story ideas or ways to improve, I won’t bite your head off. So rules, I won’t enforce them brutally or anything but still try to follow them. One note: The technology level is more advanced that ours but it is still comparable to ours, such as guns that shoot metal bullets. No lazer guns and such.

Post Bios in The OOC, and don’t post OOC in the IC thread unless it says (Cheek the OOC) but I am pretty sure that people will read the OOC anyways.

God_Moding is a bad thing. Please no, if you are A repeat offender I will have you charter brained by a boulder falling form no where ;-)

Swearing is OK, people swear, and if you have a problem with that tell them or just don’t join. This RP is PG-13

Romance is fine but as above PG-13

If you want two characters PM or post with another Bio noting that it is a secondary character.

Try to post a good paragraph when you post which mean 4-8 sentences, more is fine less is fine once in a while, I will tell you if it because a problem but I shouldn’t need too.

Name: Molly Lynch
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Shotgun, Splee or other: Neutral, but is finding herself drifting to Splee's side lately
Origin: Arrived with the original prisoners

Appearance: 5'9" tall, loosely curled dark brown hair, cut to about shoulder length, blue eyes, and an average build. She has a celtic styled tattoo that covers the better part of her right arm, and scars from where a bullet went clean through her abdomen.

History: Molly grew up as an average child, but in her teens took a turn for the worse when her father died in a car accident, and started to rebel in any way she could manage to without getting into trouble with the law. At age 24, though, she got involved with a guy who later told her about a bank heist he had planned, that it would mean they could get away and live off the take. She wasn't thrilled with the idea, but finally agreed, as he wouldn't let it go, and the money was tempting.

Three days after her 25th birthday they went to the bank to pull it off, but she changed her mind, not wanting to go in. Her boyfriend threatened her, forcing her to help him, and it went badly and her boyfriend was killed. In the panic, she was shot, leading to her shooting one of the security guards, who didn't survive, and she ended up with a ten year sentence. She had long ago lost touch with most of her family, and they now didn't seem to want to have anything to do with her. She had nothing left now, so when she was offered the chance to relocate to New Earth, she accepted.

Personality: Relatively well balanced now, generally friendly, if a bit distant.

Anything else you need: Now runs a bakery on New Earth, which Splee members seem to visit more often than she can figure out why.

Alright... unfortunately I probably won't get online much tonight, as my parents are having company over and I'll have to do the whole 'social' thing... I'll try to pop on a few times to see if there are any posts though

Name: Ariel Tam
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Shotgun, Splee or other: Splee
Origin: Arrested for thirteen counts of murder, three counts of carrying a weapon without a permit, a couple counts of attempted murder, three counts of grand theft, and one count of petty larceny, all offenses being committed within a three hour window. She escaped the death penalty by pleading insanity. She was shipped to New Earth, where she promptly fell in with Splee and got back into the business of trying to kill people.

Appearance: Fairly good looking, tall, with long black hair, round, hazel eyes and a stick-like figure. She dresses mostly in floral pattern dresses, because they're pretty.

History: Ariel's parents were killed in a car crash when she was young. She harbored a grudge against the society that allowed such things to happen. Eventually, this grudge escalated into full on madness, wherein she believed that the citizens of this society, this corrupt society where her parent's killer got away with one year behind bars, all deserved to die. This fervent belief in her moral rectitude, in addition to a sudden opportunity in the form of a weapons store owner forgetting to lock up, triggered the incident above. Although insane, she was considered safe enough for transport. She was transfered to New Earth shortly afterwards on parole, escaped, and fell in with Splee.

Personality: Generally friendly and cheery, although most people get the impression that she imagines how people look with bullets through their brains in her free time. Can be rather childish, especially when in a state of murder-induced euphoria. She kills Shotgun operatives for amusement. Strangely, she bears little ill-will to the citizens of New Earth. Perhaps because they are all serving a life sentence here, she does not see them all as she sees the citizens of Old Earth. She despises NETP simply because they remind her of the Old Earth police, who failed to adequately punish her parent's killer.

Anything else you need: Proficient in chemical firearms, which replaced gunpowder roughly fifty years ago. Chemical guns use small amounts of chemicals to create gas, which explosively propels the bullet out of the gun as it expands. They are mostly silent and have no recoil, but fire bullets at lower velocities than gunpowder weapons.

Origin: Was offered the death penalty or new earth, Wanted the death penalty but was forced onto new earth.

Appearance: Short brown hair, Tall, Well muscled. Wears a pair of denim jeans and a thick leather jacket.
History: Joined the army as an engineer at the age of 18, was seen as an explosives expert at the age of 20, They shifted him to the Creation and Deconstruction of bombs. He promptly became a Pyromanic, Flaming stuff when nobody looked, setting off bombs in toilets. Eventually his habbit was learned of, and he was dismissed. This wasn't enough... When he returned to normal home life he began making a small Flame-bomb.... he detonated it in a mall, killing hundreds upon hundreds... The flames took two weeks to put out. He was found passed out on the floor of his house, drunk, and promptly arrested. They offered him the Death Penalty, or a trip to new earth. He requested death, But was forced onto earth

Personality: Mentally agile, yet slightly insane. Has short bursts of rage, Doesn't enjoy carrying vendetta's but does it anyway.

Origin: He was convicted of a conspiracy to commit murder to cover the mistake of lackeys that revealed all of his companies underhanded dealings. Shortly after he was sent to prision he was offered a position on the police of this New Earth. He was told that this was his chance to redeem himself, use his smarts to stop crime. He accepted.
Before this he had only fired a gun in a shooting range during
Appearance: Tall, six foot about. Dirty blond hair and very blue eyes, and the customary black and red suit. He is thin and fast.
History: He is (was) a member on the board of a stock trading company until her has put in prision. I prefer to revel this kind of thing though story.
Personality: Smart and cunning enough and with the right set of moral to commit a white collar crime that would cost thousands of peoples jobs.
Anything else you need: good marksman.
