Red Squadron Profiles are CLOSED; unless you posted one in the interest thread, if that is the case please transfer it here. Thank you and sorry for any troubles. Air power may either end war or end civilization. — Winston Churchill, IC Thread Red Squadron will detail the missions and lives of a squadron in the Novarian Air Force. The Novarians are an island nation off the coast of the mainland. Noveria is blessed with temperate weather and wide rolling plains with few tall mountains and cliffs. It's known for its liberal views, democratic government and economic stability. This is all threatened though when one of the major countries on the mainland, the Union of Central Communist States starts to gain more land, through military invasion, promoting coups in foreign countries, fire bombing resistant territories and annexing smaller countries with no military. The lucky few that manage to escape to still independent countries such as the Thracia or Keshbal find them selves in sub-par living conditions as slaves and cheap labor. As the last truly free country Novaria has taken a firm stance against the communist invaders, promising support from its extensive air force for the struggling nations of Thracia and Keshbal who are mounting massive armies in the face of the UCCS. Regardless of this obvious commitment on their part Novaria refuses to deploy its army; wanting to avoid a full scale mobilization until things become truly dire. Red Squadron is set in an alternate time line somewhere around the 1990s - 1980s, with no major revolutions in stealth technology or super powerful guidance systems. If you are interested in fighting for freedom, flying faster then sound and just blowing stuff up, fill out the character sheet bellow: Name: Rank: (Leave blank; I will fill it in according to your biography, position and any requests you might have) Position: (Pilot, Mechanic, Co-Pilot, Navigator, Other Crew. Name: Isabella Jackson
Call Sign: Dizzy Rank: Position: Pilot Aircraft Choice: Fighter Appearance: Isabella is five feet eight inches tall, with dark brown hair slightly shorter than shoulder length and hazel eyes. She has slightly smaller than average frame, but is in excellent physical condition. Biography: Isabella was raised by her parents on their farm, and grew up helping out with chores, playing an essential role in preparing her for the military. As soon as she could, she started flying recreational aircraft, and then went to military college where she passed in the top five in her class. She then entered the Air Academy, where she passed with flying colors, with the only major incident being a matter of aircraft error. On her first solo flight, a control system sent her into a spiraling dive, which she barely managed to recover from, which earned her the call sign Dizzy. She is 27 has flown in several combat scenarios now, with four confirmed kills, and just received transfer orders to Red Squadron. |

Name: Jackie "Rat" Danner
Rank: Position: Mechanic Aircraft Choice: Anything with wings Appearance: 5'6" with blonde hair tied in a knot at the back of her head to fit beneath a cranial. Blue eyes and a cat-with-the-canary grin. Usualy seen in maintainer's fatigues, green troubleshooter cranial, and a lineman's 'yellow shirt' that indicates her possition as a plane handler (One who launches, recovers, and directs aircraft). Done in reflective tape, the back of her cranial depicts a mean-looking rat skull and two crossed signal-wands. (Planehandlers and others who work on the flightline are often called 'line rats') http://www.defenselink.mil/home/imag...20050901d1.jpg Biography: Graduating highschool, Jackie went straight into the military. Wanting to be a pilot and figuring the best route was to be a maintainer who knows the planes, Danner has been a mechanic for 5 years and has a flair for coaxing broken birds back into the air. A qualified plane captain, she can all but fly the plane herself, and with a delicate balance of smartassery and tact; can handle any officer who thinks to tell her what 'their' plane can do. After all, once they drop the wheels; the planes belong to her. ((Hopefully I'll be good to go by the time this kicks off. I'm bringin the laptop in case the trip I'm on gets wifi, so dont think you have to wait up on me. XD)) |

Name: Donovan Guercio
Call Sign: Bishop Rank: Position: Aircraft Choice: Fighter Appearance: Donovan is six feet three inches tall, with dark brown hair that extends down over his ears and cobalt colored eyes. He has a tall lean frame and is fairly muscular, but all in all he is a bit skinny. Biography: To him the airforce was just a family tradition, everyone went and now his turn had finally come up. After flight school where he did fairly well, he has had a few missions earning him a bit of experience. Got the callsign Bishop way back in flight school as he always oversaw the battle situation before making his move. Bishop means Overseer Looks like we have about 4 pilots, I could be something else if you want me to be. |

Seeing as this is primarily a pilot-centric roleplay, I want at least nine pilots (counting me). Each pair of four will be put into a section, with me calling the shots. If we dont get enough pilots for that plan we'll either just have two sections of two or work as a single over-sized section.

Name: Jeremy "Jem" Hatcher Rank: Call Sign (not sure what they are but...): Eagle Position: pilot Aircraft Choice: Fighter Appearance: Couldn't find a RL pic sorry.Biography: Jem grew up on farmland, as a simple hand, going to school and helping out his family, until one day his friend left to join the Airforce. He wasn't much for planes, so he left and joined the army. After a few years in the army, he overcame his fear of hieghts and transfered into the Airforce to be with his friend, who he found out died in a plane crash due to a mechanical malfunction. As a tribute to his friend, Jem fixed the fighter, and uses it for his training. Is it okay?
