well, hopefully Dizzy Izzy doesn't get her too much more angry :P
Also, I'm not really familiar with how interaction between pilots and enlisted ranks works (as far as who's considered higher up the chain, etc...) but if there should be something more formal in the way Isabella dealt with it, let me know... she's a pretty by-the-book type person, so I want to make sure I get it right |

Interaction between NCOs and Officers is a fun game.
By the Chain of Command, any Officer has rank over an NCO, even a Junior LT. compared to a Sergeant Major. However, a certain level of seniority is granted by an NCO by the officer he's appointed under; for example, a Battalion level Sergeant Major works under a Colonel or Lt. Colonel, and basically shares his authority. Not too mention higher ranking enlisted NCOs rarely take a lot of crap from junior officers anyway. This is from my experience in the armed forces, and the best it's been described to me by a Drill Sergeant. |

Crew Chiefs are for the most part tough-as-nails motherfuckers who dont take crap from anyone but the maintainance officer, XO and CO. The pilots they treat with respect, assuming they're treated with respect in turn. If you try to jump around Maintainence Control or pull anything with 'their' birds, they can get nasty. And nothing says 'fuck you, sir' like breaking your bird for extended maintainence. XD
Mind, I'm going off of more Navy maintainence then Air Force. Danner, specificaly, is modeled off of a Chief in my squadron. You write what you know, right? >_> |

I agree with that but how can you not understand that 'relationship' as being in a sense the pilots dont need the people responsible for their planes pissed off at them so things 'start going wrong with them' lol

I do understand that, she's throwing it back in Mike's face that he's already gotten himself off on a bad foot. If he wants a good relationship, he's done nothing so far to show it. >_>
Picture the crew cheif in Black Sheep, more or less. The CO told you to look for the crew chief, and you asked an airman. So she just sees you taking her bird up so long as anyone with a pulse gives you a nod. Last edited by DustAndEchoes : 07-21-2008 at 12:30 PM. |

There's probably room, but I really hope we get to take the planes up in the air sometime soon, Herr Major.
