This is for runoff characters from Creeds Serenity/Firefly OOC (God, that sounds terrible. 'runoff'. Sorry.) Same Firefly and Serenity universe.

Welcome aboard the "Andromache". We ain't got much in the big and cruel 'verse, but we share what we got with who we got, and right now, thats you. We're not a pretty bunch, may not of done things we're proud of, and we still do things that we ain't proud of, but thats what we do. Smuggling, stealing, surviving, call it what you want, but thats what we do, and as long as we keep doing it, we might just get by.

Personality: Obedient, friendly, helpful, a bit of a flirt, most of the time into some adventure, and she has high self esteem.
History: She grew up taking care of her siblings, and was in charge of being the mother bird to them. She had to do so many things and nobody cared nor did they notice at all. She would fake a smile everyday, and tell them lies about her day and week so far.
Her life became a bit more easier when she started to study to become a mechanic. Even though her life wasn't that easy, she had an easier job to do as her siblings grew up and she grew up. She was working about 3 jobs a day to keep a roof under their heads, and she even gave her bed up for them to sleep on it. The smiles she faked, and the frowns she didn't, she had always kept a good attitude no matter how much hell was at home. Even if someone died, she would have a good attitude about it, she believes that if she didn't smile everyday, then everyone would frown upon her.

Name: Jackalin 'Jacks' Cartier

Personality: Lazyyyyy, smart, flirtatious but when its time to be serious dont mess with her.

History: Shes known the captian since she was little. She grew up on her fathers ship the Marino with six other men, so looks can be deceiving. She was always taught to be tough like a boy and never back down, hence the name Jacks. When she lived with her father she was taught mixed martial arts by cook with is pry her only useful weapon next to her old school katana Benny. Dont get her wrong but she loves shopping and clothing and men on the outside, but on the inside is a whole different person. She went into medicine when she was 16, she saw a mans hand get blown off and saw that there was no medic to be found so she was forced to help him herself. Since then she has dedicated her life to other people.

Other: Jacks is the medic and loves sleeping and guys. She also speaks many many different languages.

Clothing - Boots, blue jeans, grey shirt, black jacket with his old dropship squadron's badge (a red diving falcon) on the shoulder.

Weapons - A small pistol, his service weapon from his time as an alliance pilot.

Personality: Victor is a quiet man, very matter-of-fact, with a deadpan sense of humour. In the pilot’s seat he’s the epitome of the unflappable flyboy – cool under pressure, collected, seemingly immune to panic.

History: Victor served as an alliance dropship pilot during the war, carrying troopers and supplies to where they were needed - usually hot combat zones. Late in the war, Vic found himself evacuating survivors from a crippled orbital dock. He took survivors from both sides - with free space in his troop bay he couldn't justify just leaving Browncoat soldiers to die.

After the war, Vic received commendations and an early retirement, supposedly as a reward for his years of service. Vic knew the truth – he was being made an example of to discourage any lingering Browncoat supporters.

Determined not to just mope around drinking away his pension, Vic moved to the outer rim, where his considerable piloting experience got him a place on an independent freighter.

-Carries with him a pair of pistols, and a large shotgun he calls "Eris". Strong, and skilled in brawling, but knows no refined form of martial arts.

Personality: Gruff and stoic to most, but carries a deep loyalty and fondness for those on his crew, as well as a deeply defined sense of right and wrong. Fairly blunt and sometimes rude, saying whatever he thinks, as well as stubborn and painfully unaware of his own limits.

History: Grew up on a small, isolated planet with a small, not very technologically advanced population, but was a popular port for animal trading, as the planet was mainly used for ranching. Hector lived with his mother, father, and two older brothers on a ranch outside the port town. His father was a tough, mean, old man, who was protective, if not overly controlling of his sons. Hector worked and liked farm life enough, but was always captivated with wonder by the tales of the traders coming into port, which is where he first met Jacks.

Once he was old enough, much to his fathers anger, ran away with all his ideals to join the Browncoats in the unification wars, in the hopes of doing something great. After his platoon was captured and forced to surrender, while he was still young, his boyhood dreams of glory and righteousness were broken. Since then, wandered from planet to planet, broke, depressed, and not sure of what to do with the rest of his life. He bought a ship with the little money he had, and dedicated himself to fixing her up, and running her as best he can.

Other: Seems to radiate a power that breaks electronics, or at least causes them to hate him, can barely work a communication link. Has a dog with him he named Achilles.

Personality: Good tempered, loyal to his master to a fault, loves to play with anyone, and loves the crew on the ship as well.

History: Found as a puppy on a heavily industrialized city by Hector. Followed Hector loyally from that day on, whether Hector liked it or not.

I would be interested in being a passenger, but I don't know if I'll be able to post until about next Saturday, so maybe my character can come on board a little later on.

Appearance:


Personality: Maia is very intelligent, but rather self-interested. Once upon a time she was a hopeless romantic, but after falling in love and being betrayed, she has adopted a very, “fuck you” sort of attitude toward the world. Now she’s in it for herself, and only herself.

History: Maia was a corporate secretary for a large company within the inner planets. Her boss had close ties to organized crime and often laundered money for them. Maia was initially unaware of his and eventually fell in love with her boss. He promised her that he would leave is wife for her, but eventually betrayed Maia. Faced with losing her job, and furious at this betrayal by the man she loved, Maia stole a very large amount of money from her boss (and from his criminal benefactors) and disappeared into the outer reaches of the system. She’s been on the run ever since, too afraid to stay long in any one place, but having a lot of money is making that easier. Her time on her latest planet has just about run its course, so she’s looking for a way off world, and on to the next thing.

Other: Maia flaunts her newfound wealth quite a lot, she wears the best clothes, has expensive jewelry, and quite a lot of luggage.

I'll take up the role of a mercenary if need be

Appearance: Wears normally a leather padding chestplate with one steel shoulder pad, and carries a purple beret from his trooper days and finally a utility belt with holsters on his waist and over shoulder.

Personality: Gerhard is light hearted, laidback, calm minded and risk taking.
Gerhard is a rather humorful and sarcastic man at times but has a grim side to him, deep within him.

History: Born and raised on the planet of Boros, he was the second son of three to his parents. Gerhard's father was a colonel during the Unification war and was raised in a pro-alliance family, so when Gerhard turned 18 he joined the Alliance military.

After four years in the military, Gerhard had developed a excellent ability at dual pistol combat. However on his last posting on a outer rim world, a skirmish with a local group of rebels that started a rebellion and killed most of his regiment, and the loss of his left eye.

After the fight, as several other alliance regiments crushed the revolt, Gerhard Deserted into outer rim space. Since then he has taken up life as a mercenary, his skills as a 'Gunslinger' generating some income for him. Now he waits on some planet, waiting for his next employer to waltz into port.

Other: Gerhard is a dual pistol mercenary, he very fond of space travel and enjoys the nightlife of ports and docks compared to others.

I would reserve for Mercenary 1, but I'd need a synopsis of the universe (in the PM or VM, please) before I can post a charrie.
