I've wanted to be part of a Final fantasy-ish RPG for a while now, here's my character.
Name: Cade Stray Age: 23 Race: Human Class/Job: Gunman. Subclass: Black Mage Looks: Cade has lanky brown hair and blue eyes with an easy-going face. Cade doesn’t have any major scars or marks that are worthy of note. His body type is more akin to that of an acrobat than anything else. He’s lightly muscled, which leaves him more capable of running, jumping, and avoiding blows. Cade keeps his clothing very simple. He’s very fond of his blue army trench coat and he wears it whenever he can. Underneath the coat he often wears a faded, green, long-sleeve shirt with gray pants and black boots. Across his chest he wears a bandolier that holds his special shots. Skills/spells: Charge- Cade fires twice the normal amount of ammunition from his rifle to inflict more damage. Special Shot- Using some magically charged ammunition; Cade can create some different effects with his gun. Mixture- Cade knows a little some thing about alchemy and he uses it to make his own potions, bombs, and ammunition. Aim- Cade’s training gives him a good chance of hitting an enemy in a weak point. While it doesn’t do much damage, it usually hobbles his enemies so he can either catch up or get away. Weapon: Cade’s weapon is a powerful rifle that he’s nicknamed Tom. Tom is unique in the fact that with a few clicks Cade can change it’s shape and function. To keep the greatest range of versatility Tom spends most of the time in the shape of a carbine (halfway between a rifle and a pistol). When he needs to hit a long range target, Cade elongates Tom’s barrel and flips up a sighting scope. When he’s using some of his special ammunition, he pushes Tom’s barrel all the way back and loads it into a firing cylinder under the main barrel. Gear: A backpack with a change of clothes, a few bombs, some rations, a potion, a little gold, and Cade’s spare ammunition. Currently his bandolier holds fire shot until he can get his hands on some ingredients to make some different types. Personality: Cade is a person that enjoys the simple things in life. Good food and good friends tend to make him happy. But his simple nature hides a very technical mind. When Cade sets out to learn something he’ll keep at it doggedly. Cade is also a person that is very concerned with doing the right thing. He doesn’t know how to explain his reasons, but if something seems underhanded or likely to cause a lot of good people harm then Cade won’t do it. Cade has no problem with killing someone, he’s had to as part of the army, but he’s very concerned with the reasons that he’d going to kill somebody. Something that Cade does keep hidden from others is his yearning to find his family again. It’s been seven years since he’s last seen them and he’s not sure if he’d even recognize them any more. If he actually did get a lead on their location, then you can bet that Cade will be off and running to find them. History: Cade grew up as part of a wandering circus that traveled most of the countryside. As he aged he found that he had a talent for sharp shooting and was put to work in some of the acts. It was a fine life for Cade since he loved to see and experience new things, but it couldn’t last forever. When he was sixteen, Cade was drafted into the local militia and separated from the circus that was his home. He looked forward to the day when he could rejoin his family, but war and the things that come with it washed away most of the familiar things that Cade had grown up knowing. When he was finally allowed to leave the army he found that his circus no longer existed. It’s members had disbanded and there were no clues to the whereabouts of his own family. With nothing else to tie him down and not wanting to wallow in self pity, Cade traveled west. Among the border towns he made a living as a gun for hire. He earned quite the reputation as a fair and honest person that cared more about doing the right thing than getting paid for his services. He even picked up a little bit of black magic while he was there. It wasn't enough for him to cast spells, but just enough to use alchemy and imbue some of his special ammunition with magical power. But now Cade is feeling the itch to travel again. He’s staying in Junon until he can scrape the money up to travel to one of the other countries he visited while he was part of the army. To get the money he’s taken a job to protect a merchant that thinks one of his rivals might be trying to kill him. misc.: Sorry if it’s a little vague, I did my best with the information you gave.

you need to sub class black mage to use the magic bullets and alchemy, do that, and you'll be good to go

Name: Kray Erins
Age: 17 Race: Human (Mostly) Class/Job: Warrior/Monk Looks: Spry and lanky, but with a lean and muscular build, Kray looks as though he would be quite a good deal weaker then he is, for various reasons. Shaggy black hair adorns his face, and he is rarely seen outside of the company of his relatively massive axe. His body is laced with scars, and a large, twisting brand adorns the back of each hand. His skin is the color of mocha, and his eyes are bright and glistening gold. Skills/spells: Berserk: When real combat begins, Kray's bloodlust comes forth and drives him on to deliver stronger and stronger blows upon his enemies. He gets stronger the longer combat lasts, and the more injured he is the harder he hits. Juggernaut: When started, it is incredibly hard to dissuade Kray from doing something he wishes to do; able to withstand withering amounts of firepower and keep moving foreword, Kray won't drop until he's dead, and won't die until you've thrown the kitchen sink at him. Fight Me Like a Man: Kray views magic and other long range projectile-type techniques as 'for the birds', and his disdain for them is literally palpable; through a ritual of his old tribe, Kray's body is extremely resilient against magic, and all but the most powerful spells will cause him little trouble. Weapon: A pair of axes, which have no names. One of them looks to be a handaxe, if a hand was rather large-the head of the weapon is about seven inches across or so, and the haft of it perhaps a foot. His other axe is larger still, the head of it maybe a foot and a half across and the haft perhaps two. These weapons are monstrously heavy, and runic designs flow across their blades. Kray doesn't much notice the weight, it seems. Gear: His gear consists of a gem on either hand, which seem to act like magnets to the massive axes he wields-when thrown, or left elsewhere, the weapons are pulled back to the gem by some form of magic, though damned if Kray knows or cares what it is. Aside from that, he's a pair of pants and some gold from his last mercenary job, and that's about it. Personality: Fight loving and fun loving, Kray is a man who asks little of the world-women, wine, and a good hard beat down, on him or the other guy-he's not much partial. There's obviously more to him beneath the surface, but he's been working on drinking that away, and for the most part he's doing a fairly decent job of it. History: For being seventeen, Kray's seen more then his fare share of fights, and looked for just about each and every one. The last of a dying tribe in the southern Sand Seas, he left several years ago and now wanders as a mercenary, trying to teach these northern folk a good lesson about fighting. misc.: No warrior skills, so I just kind of made up a couple. If these are too strong or not in flavor, just let me know, I'll change them. |

...huh. Hadn't quite thought of it from that angle... I'm not sure any of my women are the types that would be lead off on a romantic adventure, since I'd probably just shift Kray to a woman, but let's try it out. This any better?
