2010-2016
The 3rd world war almost destroys the major players in the world. Remarkably, (or to most, a somewhat coincidence) a united world government was formed bringing peace to the globe. At the end of the first year, however, the unified government turned onto it's people. A world wide regime that brought great misery to the common folk. Only nobles and "Kings" have power. After years of poverty and strife, so began the first of the people's crusades.

2022-2023
The three months that lasted over what used to be known as Christmas was all the first crusade lasted. Truth to be told the small rebel uprisings could hardly be noted as a resistance let alone a war. But it was a spark; something to show that there was such thing as a free peoples.

2024-2026
The 2nd crusade, made of two countries worth of free peoples, lasted two long, bloody years. A sudden surge against the nobles was initially effective, but the mob that made up the crusade was unequipped and under-trained to tackle the rest of the world. The crusade was crushed in the winters of 2026, bringing despair to any hopes of a third, successful crusade.

2043 - Modern Day

The fires of Blackheart manor burned violently that night. A yellow star that bellowed a contrast of black fumes; A disgusting beauty, you could say. The noble troops had surrounded the mansion earlier that day, a report of rebels using it as a base had caught their attention. Hell, they'd taken a tactical ops team, fully equipped with the latest in noble technology. Whatever ghost they were chasing never had a chance. Then again, we didn't even know of any rebels in the area, not for years at least.

So, you can see our delight... No... Our horror when we saw him walking back down the road from the great house. His great-coat hiding all but his face, his fiery red hair and the hilt of a weapon you'd think so crude, so simple. Of course he had a handgun, maybe two under the coat. But the weapon that we thought to be a spiritual item was a large, ornate sword. Red lights shone on the blade, a red ribbon or fabric that matched his hair exactly was wrapped around the hand-guard. The first of the runeblades; The dawn of the 3rd crusade.

Well this is a high-end casual, something I've been itching to try out. I'd like to say it's an anime style RP but I'm not entirely sure what most people mean by that. I imagine the idea of running along walls and blocking bullets so correct me if I'm wrong.

So, the world of 2043 is crap. The Kings run the continents, the countries and states are run by the nobles. The nobles control a vast technological army that keeps the world in fear and manufacture. The weaponry of the current date is a slightly more advanced version of what is around now, swords are not your every-day weapon, obviously bullets making them useless.

To the free peoples, religion is a strong part of trust and honour. To stand by your own faith is to be strong and self controlling. The holy relics of the world are controlled by the nobles, used as power sources to run their machines and great, luxurious cities.

Now for you... You are Templar, knights of the 3rd crusade. Past wars were fought with guns and rockets. You fight with a weapon known as a runeblade. Some say it's holy power, others say it's magical and less believe it's something scientific. But what people do know is that the blade binds with a chosen character, becoming a part of them. In return it grants that person supernatural agility, speed and stamina. It enhances most aspects of the human body, including reflexes and sometimes intellect. Depending on the blade, one aspect is even more enhanced. The Templar still use ranged weaponry, depending on their preference and sometimes their runeblade enhancement. Combat is their way of life.

Other than the blades, the Templar are in-fact, simply human.

The 3rd crusade is upon us. What are you doing to assist the free people's struggle?

What madness is this? Letting people run off on their own!? This is blasphemy! - Take the sheet as a guide, you can add things if you wish, but the bare minimum is there. Also, you can choose not to own a runeblade if you wish, making you the average Joe... I wont stop you but there is a reasonable large dis-advantage.

Anyway, here's something to go by.

Name: Tyr Morgan

Age: 26

Gender: Male

Appearance: His short, bright red hair burns through the night, the black highlights giving it an almost sinister look. His face is young and unscathed, his eyes a hazel brown. Tyr stands about 6'2" and has a medium sized build. His slightly tanned skin again is unmarked.

Wearing black fingerless gloves and steel capped boots, also in a black leather, the rest of his clothing is covered by a large great-coat. A full length black trench-coat, made of a resilient material and at the same time very light-weight, covers his black shirt and combats. A gun holster on either hip and his runeblade sheathed on his back, underneath the coat. It's hilt is left jutting out behind his head at a 45 degree angle, the coat having been cut to allow an easy draw.

Bio: Dun... Dun... Duuuuun!


Name of Runeblade: Dawnfang
Main Enhancement: Agility
Appearance: A katana, 1 sided blade. Matt-black blade with burning red runes down the flat edge. A bright red ribbon around the small hand-guard and gold trimmings around both that and the black-leather grip of the hilt.

Question: Does the weapon have to be a "sword," or can it apply to any bladed weapon, such as a sickle or other things?

Well swords would be the main idea, bringing the aspect of a knight or crusader into play, but you do have a valid question and I don't see why not. As long as it's a bladed weapon then it could be a valid runeblade indeed.

Anyway that reminds me to let you guys know you can fire questions away left right and center and I'll do my best to answer them!

Then, before I do anything, I must ask: Can I use pictures in tandem with the words in my character sheets, so long as I make said images on my own?

Well to be honest I don't mind if people use pictures to support their appearances and such. I wont turn around and say "HEY! that's the sword from bla bla bla, you can't use that" either. If you wish to draw a picture to help you describe something, or simply find one on google that you like the look of, I don't mind. I do however insist on some form of writing to assist with detail.

Appearance: Six foot one, dark skinned with a shaved head. Emerald green eyes and muscular build. He wears a shortcut leather looking jacket(it's really kevlor) a tight fitting black shirt and fatigue pants(made of the same material as the jacket). He wears double shoulder holsters under the jacket at all times even when he is asleep. The holsters carry his gold plated .50 cal Desert Eagles(12 shot clip). At his left on his waistline lays the sheathe of his runeblade. A black scabbard with golden runes etched into it. Wears a leather backpack that his uses to store extra clips for his handguns, rations, and various other supplies.

Runeblade name: Artemis(what??? It sounds like the name of a sword..lol)

Appearance: A golden saber with black runes etched along both sides of the blade. It's hilt is completely covered by a jet black handguard with one large golden rune etched into it. An intensely bright light flashs when it is drawn from it's scabbard.
Other Weapons: A belt of throwing knives he wears at his waist. His Scabbard is connected to it.
