Zak looked up and saw a man with an arm blade about to stab him. In an act of survival, Zak rolled backwards and the blade stuck in the ground. He then charged the man and hit him in the face as hard as he could with his fist. In an instant, the man's neck snapped and Zak stabbed his heart with his own arm blade. The smell of blood overcame him and he sank his fangs into the man's neck. No, not a man, a vampire. A thrall of a vampire. Zak emptied him of blood and his eyes shone the color of blood, crimson. Zak walked away in triumph, feeling the power of an immortal inside him.

Within ever myth, there is some trace of truth, the rest of it is a rumor or a lie. Some of those myths include the races of Vampires, dhampirs, Werebeasts/Lycanthropes, Witches, and even shape shifters. Most of the rumors and lies about them, were started by their own kind in an attempt to make them look weaker than they really were. It was often used in a case where their natures were discovered. The rumors truly were lies however...

Vampires- The living dead. They do not have to breath, but it takes away their ability to speak and smell. They have heightened senses, plus empathy and the ability to feel anyone's aura, which is the resonation of the spirit. They do not sleep, they can go into a meditative trace however, but they are always aware of their surroundings. They drink blood, are super strong, super fast, have amazing reflexes, have unparelleled agility, fast metabolisms, great healing abilities, have some power of darkness, and have great powers. The sun weakens them and can sunburn them easily at best, they can cross runing water, they have reflections, holy water tastes good to them, and they can only be killed three ways: Rare poisons, destruction of heart, and from losing all blood/not drinking any blood for a long time. The use of vampiric abilities requires blood. Without drinking new blood, body cannot produce more blood. Dhampirs (male half vampires)and Dhampiresas (female half vampires) have all of the same powers, but cannot be poisoned and are not weakened by the sun. They also can survive by solid food. Vampires cannot breed with vampires, only witches, Phoenixes, and humans. Vampire Females cannot bare children, but Dhampiresas can.
Ranks-Thrall(slave), Servant(human bound to a vampire, which makes them part vampire) infant(1-25 years old), child (25-50 years old), teenager( 50-75 years old) young adult (75-100 years old), adult (100-250 years old), elder (250-500 years old), and ancient (500-????? years old). Dhampirs can only be Thrall or Free.

Lycanthropes- Immortal(by age) demonic animal shapeshifters. They live similar to humans do. In their transformed state, they are a match for vampires and phoenixes. Strong in human form with great senses and have amazing healing abilities along with high metabolisms. They must transform the night of the full moon and during lunar eclipses, but they can change any time they want outside of those times. Decapitation, destruction of brain, and large quantities of silver can kill them. Women cannot bare children.
Ranks- Alpha(leads pack), Beta(second in line), Pack or Pride (in pack or pride but not Alpha or Beta), and Rogue (no pack or pride)

Witches- A race of magic users. Magic is in them at a cellular level which makes them physically twice that of any human. They have high metabolisms, heal fast, they can sense auras, and they wield magic.
Elemental Lines (physically weaker lines)- Lumina-Light/healing, Pyrais- Fire, Cryain- Ice, Hydraic- Water, Electray- Lightning, Erthain- Earth, and Arias- air/wind.
Slayer/Combat Lines- Fog- Illusion, Kyr- specializes in gunslinging and applications of magic to guns, Nyk- specializes in hand to hand fighting, Staik- Specializes in use of blades, hand to hand, whips, and crossbows, Arin- Staik's specialties, but not as efficient plus can use aura as a weapon to do physical attacks.
Ranks- Trainee(still in training), Warlock(done with training, but not experienced), Witch(Experienced), and Coven Mistress or Master(leads coven)

Phoenixes- Once humans, but learned the secrets of wielding great magic and of immortality. They are the polar opposites to vampires and are physically as powerful as they are. They must eat regular food, breathe, sleep, and everything else humans require. They can be killed by Destruction of brain, destruction of heart, and neglecting body's needs (ex, food and water)
Ranks- Trainee(still in training), Initiate(just finished training, but no experience), Phoenix(Experienced), and Master Phoenix(Experienced Phoenix who trains Trainees and leads initiates)

Shapeshifters- Can shapeshift into one designated animal. They are tougher, have greater senses, have higher metabolisms and have more energy than humans. They can die from inceneration, destruction of heart, decapitation, destruction of brain, and bleeding to death.
Ranks: Free(no obligations), Slayer(slays vampires and lycanthropes), and Bounty Hunter(Slayers who target those who you are paid to.)

Humans- weak and can die easily. Nuff said.
Ranks:Slayer(A real challenge in this world. You hunt the undead, witches, phoenixes, and shapeshifters with guns and blades) Free (Free human who can be turned into Phoenix, Vampire, Dhampir, or Lycanthrope in rp), and Servant(human bound to a vampire, which makes them part vampire)

The weapons that you can use are: Bladed weapons with a blade of a maximum of a foot long. Firearms(Lycanthropes, vampires, phoenixes, and all non-Kyr witches should not use. Firearms are for weaker races.) Whips(common weapon of vampires, phoenixes, and staik and arin witches), cross bows, and any other concealable weapons other than bombs and laser beams.

Please do not start at a rank above the second one listed. For Dhampirs that is Free, Vampires have Servant or Child, Lycanthropes have Pack or Pride or Rogue, Phoenixes have initiate, Witches have Warlock, Shapeshifters are not limited, and Humans are not limited. Doing this will allow for more growth in the rp.

Bio: He was born in a small town and was free then. But a slave trader with a group of fighters came and killed or took everyone in the town. Ivan was taken as a slave and has lived a terrible life since. He remembers the face of the man who sold him and wants his revenge.

Powers: Being human, Evelyn doesnt have any amazingly awesome powers, but she does have a rather high 'sixth sense' ability. She can see 'ghosts' and also sense when things change around her.
Personality: Evelyn comes off as a kind and caring girl. Truth is, she is very manipulative and everything has to go her way. After being the Servant to a vampire, she has learned to control her manipulative ways.
Pet Peeves: Hunters are her main one, loud noises, child vampires and other Servants.
Bio: Evelyn was born into a rich Southern family. She grew up living the good life, but it bored her. When she was young, about 10, she was kidnapped by local vampires. They wanted to change her then, but she made a bargain with them. She told them to use her for her blood and not change her until she felt she was ready to be changed. They went along with this. When that Coven was whipped out by another Coven, she was sold to a rich vampire male who still owns her to this day, but he is looking to sell her for a younger Servant.

Rank: Overhang. Relatively intelligent, but not Shelob-level power.

Gender: Hermaphroditic. All spiders are referred to as female.
Orentation: This question does not come into play.
Appearance/Attire: With eight 1.6-meter legs, Crecktela is about the size of a horse. Black with brown markings, two compound eyes, and three miniature ones. As spiders go, nonthreatening, though still scary.
Weapons: There's the webbing, the paralyzing venom in the outer mandibles, and the melting venom in the inner mandibles. She also has sharp ends on her legs, though these are about as sharp as an often-used pencil. Armor as hard as thick plastic.
Powers: Crecktela is a lingual, able to speak any language she encounters. She can also shadowshift, that is be invisible in darkness of any kind.
Personality: Crecktela wishes to be the most notable whitethread, and thus is always on the hunt for new historical events. She is overegar, though, and a bit overbearing. Let's all hope she has redeeming qualities.
Pet Peeves: People who attack her for no apparent reason (i.e. she's a spider)
Bio: She was born, she studied under some relatively impressive historians, and was a normal spider. Then one day she essentially said "To Arach with it!" and decided to make her way into the world of people without exoskeletons in order to find some real history.
