I guess we're moved. Anyway, I think let's just make excellent posts and maybe we could move back to advanced. Sigh.

So, we're actually ready to start!

For the first posts, I'm thinking we should all post a little intro in the office while waiting for our next mission. I'll introduce our next mission through the IC after.

Anyway, our first monster is gonna be really fun and freaky. It's called a manananggal (ma-na-nang-gal) This creature originates in south east asia.

How it looks: This creature masquarades as human and only turns freaky in the night. At night, it goes through a transformation in that it sprouts huge bat wings and it splits in half (waist half). It grows talons and sharp teeth.

What it eats: It flies around and eats unborn babies. Yes, while inside a mommy's womb. It also eats human hearts and livers.

How it kills: It has a long needle thin tongue that goes in from the roof/chimney/wherever and enters the body through the belly button then wreacks baby havoc. it can also bite and claw if you're exposed outside somewhere.

quirk: it makes a tik-tik-tik-tik sound. the softer it is the nearer it is to you. So when it's loud it's farther away from you.

How to kill it: It is weak against salt. Wounding it is okay but it heals fast especially when it reconnects with the lower half. The most effective way of kiling it is to find the well hidden lower half, destroy it or pour salt on the exposed innards. This prevents the upper half from landing and by dawn the creature will get burned in the sunlight.

So that's the creature's profile. We'll set it up in Chicago, our homebase. I'll start the setting and feel free to continue.

Personality: Noelle is quite a dark and morbid individual which is usually fuelled by her fascination with death and all things related to it. She is quite outgoing with an 'I don't take any crap from anybody' attitude.
Quirks: Has a weakness of men, she tends to go completely weird around them.
Background: Abandoned as a child on a doorstep, Noelle was raised as normal as anybody could be. She discovered her fascination with death when her entire family was murdered while she was at school, her knowledge of forensic techniques helping nail the killer.

Eyes: Green
Hair: Brown
Skin: Light tan
Height: 5ft 1in
Weight: 7st 11lbs
Clothes usually seen in: Short skirt and low cut top, usually hid by a labcoat when in the lab. Black matching boots and accessories.

Quick question before I forget. Who's the one who usually plans out what to do and stuff like that?

I was thinking the characters just throw in ideas and create a plan but then I realized there is always the anal boss who does everything by the rules and the co captain who loves to break them, maybe Erk could do one of these things. Hi Kilanabeautifulsky, maybe you could be one of them too. I thought up an opening of police-agency liason. That's the person Kundiman was talking to.

Hi, sorry for that intro, I posted the wrong thing, sigh, I had the edited version ready and ended up posting the scrap. Sorry! Fixed it already though...

I think the characters should move to get dinner and talk about the plan there... or take out food. It all depends on the next poster...

What should happen in the next posts besides you introducing a little bit more or a lot of your characters are the following:
1. We find out that the witness is staying at a shelter for pregnant teenagers
2. We all go undercover in the area. (Kundiman will pretend to be a pregnant teen).
3. We all do our roles, i.e. research what we need to, break in to get the files we need, identify what killed the victim, acquire the weapons we need.***
4. Divide into three groups eventually. One that guards the witness, another that will ambush the creature and a third who’ll look for the creature’s lower half.

Oh yes, and please describe the office for us. Ask me to describe a fantasy world and I can give you a vivid picture but this mundane office is out of my league. Help.

That’s it for a kind of outline. No one kills the creature until everybody gets a chance to post okidokie? And it’s a rule that the agents never go and do anything alone. When you sneak in an office somewhere, you’ll have someone with you. Always, no exceptions.

Kundiman’s going to be assigned to guarding the witness by the way, it’s most logical since she’s pretending to be a pregnant teen. The witness knows we’re guarding her. Hmm... anyone who does a mistake because they didn’t read this will get licked by the monster... or more. Haha.

And if you have monster suggestions, please post them here, we’ll vote on it... It’ll be the third adventure.

And please, make your posts at least ten sentences and three paragraphs long. I’ll let the monster take a chunk out of you if you don’t follow... O_o ... it occurred to me that someone might like getting bitten and or licked by flesh eating creatures, in which case you don’t have to break the rules here for it to happen, you can just write it happening.

***apparently, the only thing that can cut the tongue is a scythe... and what hurts it most effectively are whips and the spine-tail/backbone of a turtle.

Oh and I'll wait for the rest before posting again. . Whoever the anal boss and the not so anal boss will be will come in as a new comer to the agency, meaning we're not used to them etc. So there.

Personality: Firm, Serious, and strong-willed. He constantly faces the fel-beasts of evil, believing that a frontal assault against the enemy is the only way to truly defeat them. He is against sneaking around and using stealth and trickery to attack. Stark is very devout to the Light (God), and will enter battle blessing his friends and smiting his enemies.
Background: Stark was found on the doorstep of a small church where he grew up to become a monk. But his destiny as a Inquisitor who fights against evil began after he found that his superior was secretly a daemon who was trying to overthrow the church by undermining it. After his discovery and after he revealed this information to his true superiors, the daemon revealed its true form and slaughtered the all the monks, only he survived thanks to the efforts of the Hunters (Van Helsing kind of people) and the warriors of the Inquisition. Inspired by the devotion of the Inquisition and the manner in which they attacked the daemons, he requested to join, and was accepted. Since then he has striven to fight evil at all costs.

Book: Stark carries a book of power imbued with the light and the fury of the inquisition. From this book he calls down the divine fury of the Light against his enemies and blesses his friends. (It does not act as magic, he is basically using holy water and strength of fanatic holy belief to improve his allies).

Yey, you're here. Welcome officially.

Anyway, you'll be in charge of everything that has to do with ghosts by the way. Plus, hmm.. try to blend in with the whole we're in Chicago thing... although I think having the battle armor quirk is okay... you can't get inside malls though if you're in an armor.

Oh and I call the whole first mission, Mother and Child.

And something is bothering me, aren't some of us a little bit too young to be experts in our fields? Just explain how those things happened in your posts.

I have an idea for a character, although it generally runs along the same lines as Erk's and I don't really want to step on his niche so I PMed him and volunteered to be his squire or something along those lines.

We'll see if that's alright and if it's not I'll make a different character.

lol I noticed that a lot of the character are really young, which was why I decided not to have my guy 19, and make him 34 >_< which lets him have some experience. Though I was also thinking of aging him to 49 >_<

Personality: Meek and unassuming, Antony is exactly the kind of person who spends his life behind a book or computer. He lacks social skills for the most part, but maintains an immense level of respect to his superior Knight and everyone else around him (his vow of obedience). He is terrified of women not out of disrespect or hatred but out of potentially breaking his vow of chastity. Despite all this, he is almost as firm in his faith as Inquisitor Stark.
Background: Antony was raised by an abbey of monks, undergoing rigorous training exercises to prepare him for the Inquisition. He stayed away from most people, preferring to read of the heroic exploits of knights of old and men who died in God's service. Then came the tests. While he excelled in the mental tests, he failed the physical challenges out of a lack of effort if nothing else. Following several years of failed tests, he had managed to crack the mental exams and received a hundred percent on them every time. Because of these startling scores, the Devil's Advocate and God's Advocate both visited the young novitiate and spoke with him. While the Devil's advocate nearly made him faint from his verbal assault, and nearly convinced the Church that he was incapable, God's advocate convinced the Church to provide Antony with a tutor and some 'on-the-job' experience, assigning him to the elder inquisitor Stark.

Um, hokay, so either I missed the boat or my boat was missed, but I had Mark say that the shelter was for homeless women and victims of domestic violence. Should I go retcon this to fit the pregnant teens?
