I've never really been one for symbolism, and so I cannot interperate some of your quick drabble, but the parts which I can understand, are moving, and successfully strike a profound resonance in me.

Sorry I didn't see this reply earlier.
It's about my dad growing up. He's always hated himself for getting married and having kids... Anyway, the story is about an everlasting conflict with himself. How he's been fighting all of his life and sees his end coming soon. There's a little bit more but that's pretty much it in a nutshell. The combination of his self hate and the 40 something years of alcoholism probably sparked this.
