This is the OOC thread for Daemon wars If you wish to ask anything about the setting it is a modern earth planet but with out many of the buildings or technology the Daemon's are immune to the anti-technology power that the angels used when they were first activated that is how the Daemon's survived, they are now stored in an underground bunker style base.

Been watching Evangelion lately?

I might join you, I'll have to mull it over a bit first I think. I mean giant fighting 'robots', its a hard thing to pass up.

lol it's based between evangelion and zoids. because the daemons are an organic robot and they do act on their own aswell but aren't anywhere near as good as if they had a pilot.

Only ever saw a few episodes of zoids (chaotic century I think it was) so I never understood the story behind it.
Evangelion, despite leaving me scratching my head many-a-time I liked enough to go out and buy the box set.

I own the evangellion box set and i'm with you on zoids except i seen a few from each series and like the fact that they operate even with out pilots.

ok that's great knews i thought i would give a little information on the statuses.

there are as follows:

Pilot: These are the few people that are able to synchronize with the Daemon's and are generally lacking in some form (e.g Anti-social, insecure, etc) The pilots are known to become very unstable while piloting the Daemons as their minds are linked to the mind of the Daemon and things happen when men and machines are linked it is not known as of yet why the Daemon's destabilize the Pilots but they believe it to be caused by two thought trains running through the pilots mind.

Mercenary: Well you can guess what these guys are their you common soldier type army boys. They also appear to be mentally unstable at times but that can be caused by what they've been through, Mercenaries are generally loyal and smart they also lean towards the trigger happy side of life with a common motto amongst them being Shoot first ask questions later.

Civilian: Yep you got it. These are your everyday jo-blows (lol had to include some Aussie slang, in other language people) They are rather useful in assisting both the pilots and the Mercenaries for with out them they would have no one left to train to replace the others. There are select Civilians that qualify for training but the Pilots and Mercenaries fight to defend what is left of the Civilians

Angel-hide: These are very rare people that appear to have an affinity with the Angels. It is unknown why the angels accept these people but after they come into contact with an angel they change. The most noticeable change is their eyes. The Angel-hide have brilliant sky blue eyes. It is not known why their eyes change color as none of the scientists have been able to get near to the angel-hide to study them.

Scientists: Well lookie the last so far. The scientists are the ones that maintain and look after the Pilots and the Daemons. They monitor everything in all the races they know just about everything their is to know about all the people.
