Blood and war. That's what the Riders were supposed to protect against, what they were supposed to stop. But who polices the Riders? The answer to that is no-one, and that is the cause of everything. A young rider named Galbatorix and some of his friends arrogantly flew into the vast mountain range known as the spine, they were ambushed by Urgals and all were killed, but Galbatorix. His dragon’s heart was pierced with an arrow and driven by guilt and madness he became a form even the Urgals feared. Eventually he found his way back to Vroengard and then went before the council, demanding another dragon. The elders saw his madness, and that his mind was weakened and denied his wish. Galbatorix then began to believe it was the Rider’s fault his dragon died, and began to plot against them.
Eventually, using persistent reasoning and dark secrets learned from a Shade, he convinced a young Rider named Morzan to support his cause. Morzan aided him in capturing a black dragon named Shruikan and the killing of Shruikan's rightful Rider. Shruikan was stolen and, through the use of certain types of black magic, forced into servitude.
Following this Galbatorix father around him 12 followers, the Forsworn, and began a war against the Dwarves, Elves and the Human’s. He slew the king of the Broddring Kingdom and took the title for himself, forming what is now known as the “Empire.” From this he launched his attacks on every other being in Alagaesia, and with the Dwarves in retreat the only beings with true resistance were the Riders and the Elves.


The Ra'zac are beetle-like creatures, with tight, gray-black skin, sharp beaks, and huge, corded muscles. They have barbed, purple tongues and huge, lidless eyes the size of a fist, with no pupils or irises. When they became full grown and metamorphosized into Lethrblaka, their hind legs were strong enough to crush a boulder. They had many abilities, including the ability to see clearly even on a cloudy night, track scents like dogs, and jump higher and move quicker than any human. They had an evil breath which fogged the minds of their adversaries, though dwarves were somewhat resistant to it, and elves were immune to it altogether.
However through all of these they have their weaknesses, for instance they are loathe to go near water, even scared. During the day they find it hard to focus and see.
It is unknown where the Ra'zac originated, but they were not native to Alagaeisa, it is most likely they came from whatever place humans abandoned, and they may be the reason that the humans abandoned this place.
For many years the creatures roamed wild, killing and devouring humans. The Dragon Riders agreed to put an end to it. During the bloody Ra'zac War, nearly the entire Ra'zac race was eliminated, exept for two Lethrblaka. Galbatorix discovered the Lethrblaka and their new Ra'zac and recruited them in exchange for their favorite food- human flesh.



Deep, deep in a forest, called du weldenvarden, there resides creatures called elves. These elves where very different from humans. They had greater speed, greater strength, greater physical skills altogether. Even the weakest elf could overpower a human, such was their endless pools of energy and their overwhelming strength. They were eveyrhting human's and dwarves were not, slender, fair, tall but slim and above all - immortal.The elves because of their strength with magic were able to make the the best blades, they could imbune the blades with their own magic, making them indestructable as well as being able to store their enegry in precious stones, drawing on the stored energy in times of need
They where said to live in houses completely made from the trees and plants around them. It was also said that they had the power to sing to the plants and trees and control them.



Hidden deep inside the Beor mountains there resides a hidden cave and inside this cave, lies a city. This city was filled with dwarves of all kind, crafters, warriors, anything imaginable. These dwarves where small in height, but very bulky and strong. They loved to carve things, and they where very excellent at it, second to only the elves. They had many prized carvings, the most important of which being Isidar Mithrim, the Star Saphire. This is a vast saphire which is set in the floor of the dragon hold in the Dwarf capital city of Tronjheim.

Who would stand up against Galbatorix? The dragon riders of course. But most of the dragons riders now where too young. They where still in training. In du weldenvarden. With the elves. There are some new, and some old riders there. Most of them, unfortunately, where new. So it would take much longer for them to be trained in the ways of the rider. They are being trained with the ancient language and the way of using magic.

This roleplay takes place in the story of Eragon. Most of the dragon riders are elves. I am only allowing about six dragon riders as of now. If you need help with anything or confused by it ask BloodNotes. Most of this roleplay was written by him.

(Please bare in mind that Elves age slower then Humans and therefore the age of the Elf must be at least 20, as they then look like 10 year olds, the age at which Riders were chosen by their dragon. Also note that dragons are the opposite sex to the rider)

Personality: Quite laid back and at times does not do what he is told, just to seem like he doesn't listen to everything he is taught. However, he is a shy person who doesn't talk much, he is fascinated with magic and is constantly trying out new sentences of the Ancient Language.
Appearance: He is short for an elf, and notably thin compared to the Humans, moreso then some other Elves. He has flowing silver hair which he has altered to keep at neck length. He has hazel eyes and wears simple clothing.
Dragon name and description: Líf (Literally life)
Her scales are a sparkling white colour which helps her features stand out, fangs, claws, wings. Which are all blood red. She is a typical dragon, big strong, and can breathe a continuous stream of white fire.

Appearance:Has short, completely black hair with dark green eyes. She is tall and very thin compared to other elves. She usually wears wears a white shirt with tan pants.

A large, completely black dragon with large, full wings with spikes along there sides, and a long, large tail with spikes getting bigger going up. He has claws, large fangs, and fine scales. His roar is a very loud one, and he can breath a large full jet of black fire.

Because this is based for Dragon Rider training, Dwarves were never allowed into Du Weldenvarden and Orik was the first Dwarf ever to enter, seen as how this rp is set before Eragon there wouldn't be any Dwarfs where we are.
