I think the reason behind it was so Lance could have it. He uses Dragon/Flying types. Aerodactyl, Dragonite X2, a Dragonaire, and a Gyrados.

Well, Gyarados does resemble an oriental dragon.

In that case, water/dragon would make more sense. Gyarados doesn't even have wings.

Oriental dragons don't have wings either.

Dark/ghost makes more sense. It has no weaknesses.

Only two Pokémon have that type combination: Sableye and Spiritomb.

James Davy, what type of computer do you have? You seem to have an option key, seeing as you have accented the e in Pokémon.

I run a PC. The e-acute is from the key combination Alt-0233 on a Windows system.
