| Whatever and Ever, Amen Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: EST | The Social Groups function of the Guild lets members of a particular group create topics in a separate subforum. Using this function, they're thinking of creating an RP world where the threads act as locations for the RP. e.g. -Cemetery -Spooky Cave -Candy Mountain |

| LOL I GOT OWNED Banned Join Date: Jun 2008 Location: location location. | The idea is good, sure. But what "huge roleplays" are we talking about, besides ones in Casual and Beginner? There's Animal Rights, I suppose, but I can't think of any others that don't die out right away, or get posted in perhaps twice a month. Personally I think this would only really be useful if there WERE a lot of huge roleplays. Is it a big problem, unaccepted people posting? For the rare occasions that that happens it's easy enough to PM a mod about it, but I don't think it happens enough that it's really an issue. I don't really see the need for these usergroups. Seems like it would be a meticulous and unnecessary task for the forum admins. |

Plus, when you're doing a normal RP, a lot of people are pressured to accept everyone into an RP who joins, as long as they followed the correct guidelines. Still, the person who made the RP may think that person doesn't have enough writing skills for that lvl of RP, but they followed all the rules so they 'have' to let them join. Also, by 'huge' RPs, I think they're referring to having an OOC section, Character sheet section, and Many other sections that are different 'regions' of the game, as Claude exampled. In other words, the equivilent to those more 'in-depth' RPs that usually take up a whole forum. XD I'm all for it. Love the idea. <3 | |

| Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 | If they were following the guidelines I don't see how there would be a problem. For instance, if you can tell this person is new(or just bad) at writing, I'm rather certain they'll have quite a few grammar issues as supporting evidence. You don't necessarily have to be a dick to keep someone from joining your rp, you just need something that sounds like a good excuse (because sometimes good excuses don't sound like it)... and on the subject of these groups, they sound like a private persistent world... which honestly just seems like a waste of space. If you're going to do a persistent world, I think it would be much better forum wide rather than everyone having their own little thing (That just wouldn't work out) Though I'm not quite sure if that's the idea, there's my thoughts. If I'm not getting the message right, someone tell me. |
