Me are liking the ideas that are presented here. But there are a few problems that have already been stated.
Just an idea; how about adding a sub forum with a bunch of hints and tips for not only how to roleplay effectively, but how to navigate the forums. These can be created for and by the members. This way, whenever a new member comes along, they can just check it out and if they do not fully understand, they can just check WHO posted the hint, and PM them for further elaboration or guidance.

Between the Articles section and Mahz's general welcome post and rules threads in the RP forums I think that's all covered Karl - though I do feel the Articles are a bit buried as those most interested are likely new and still getting used to the layout of things.
I don't know if we have it, but an automated welcome message that includes the navigation info and location of articles wouldn't be a bad idea.

Oh, wow, I have never noticed those in my whole time being here. Hmm...
Just read through them, and most of them are really long (duh <obvious), but i doubt the first thing a new person wants to do is sift through a 1000 word article to find what they are looking for. Maybe just go with the mentor idea. Then I also vote for Donta and would like to nominate Tranz. I would volunteer myself, but I'm not on nearly as much as I'd like to, especially during school.

I have yet to edit the list of candidates in to the first post because the list button is not working for me and I don't know the bbcode for lists.
I'm still gonna try and work with this though!

I think it was a great Idea, but yes I think Candi's idea was right, make a separate forum so the new people have a choice if they want it or not. I am willing to be a mentor as well...

We could include it in that On-topic forum area I think we need along with the sub forum for articles which does not belong in Off Topic.
Also, list BBC : ["LIST"] ["*"]1 ["/LIST"] Without the " ", obviously. ^^
