There are no storylines in Arena threads. It's like a brawl where everyone is against everyone or a team v. team battle.

well... if anyone will recall Liberty or Death, there was an arena with a storyline, but most the time it's just a big brawl, sometimes it can be a storyline about escape...

RPGuild used to break down the forum structure into genres:
- Beginners RP
- Modern/Futuristic RP
- Fantasy RP
- Arena

What happened was that people looking for eloquent, deep roleplays were in the same pool as people completely new to roleplaying or people that roleplayed via one-liners. There is nothing wrong with one-liners, beginners, or these users looking for deeper, larger roleplays -- it was just that these groups needed to be separated so they could easily find similar-minded roleplayers.

This is why the new forum structure was implemented. Whatever you may recall from the old structure, the current structure is a LOT more successful. Roleplayers are "meeting their matches" MUCH more frequently and the incident of, say, a newbie waltzing into a big thread with a deep plot happens less frequently.

The Arena was actually knocked out before I even restructured the forum. It wasn't very active at all compared to the SciFi and Fantasy forums. I think users don't really know how Arena works or what the Arena is all about, so I closed the forum down due to inactivity and assumed that users would make their own arena-roleplays in the new forum structure.

You will have to be more clear on what you are talking about when you mention the "Arena." Are you talking about a fighting tournament? A forum where users can fight eachother? A sort of bracketed fighting league?

I'm open to suggestions, but I'd like more information on what you want or else you'll just get something that I think you want.

Well, I am going to make a tournament style rp with stats(idea i got from mikodite), in fight round system, jugging system on how they make their post(Idea from rouge), and a level system(exp.). I'm almost done with the whole rp system(I'll hopefully have it up by the end of the week, it depends on how work and school goes) and it will be a brawl of epic proportions, but it will still be just an rp, I'm not trying to make a forum return...yet.

But, if arena style rps hit off, maybe we could bring back the Arena forum, but not yet, for i don't know how it will go. And thanks for any help you can give me, Mahz
