Default I'm switching Communities! I require a bit of info.

Well, the Community I came was a bit immature when it came to new concepts. So I decided to switch.

How does Roleplay Guild normally Conduct RP?

In my Forum we used "Bold and Qutations to express speech"

And for Actions we used Italics

Anything said OCC was done IN the IC thread, which made things messy I haven't seen much of that here which I admire but when it was done it was done with ((These of course))

There was normally a [WIP] Thread or Work in Progress thread before the main one where Character Sheets, Ideas, suggestions and thoughts were expressed.

I see you have something like that called OCC Threads.

Another few questions I must implore however I have seen much of these full filled already are.

* Does Roleplay Guild Normally use Correct or Close to Correct Grammar?
* Does the Age Group here normally Mature?
* Does the GM says goes rule enforced?

If I figure out anything else to say I'll voice it.

Thank you for any and all help in advance.

The author of the roleplay decides how speech and actions are portrayed, but usually they will leave it up to you to conduct your own posts.

For each category of playing there is a counterpart OOC sub-forum, just look below each category and you'll see it. Post all bios and discussions in a thread(usually of the same name[as the IC] with 'OOC' added onto the beginning or end) in these forums.

The stipulations on grammar and spelling vary from each category, Beginner's is barely moderated, Casual is basic grammar and spelling while Advanced is strictly moderated in all forms of play. Read the sticky of rules at the top of each forum to get a better idea of the standards.

The issue with maturity in the age group depends on the actual age group of the people you are playing and the individual maturity. As I said above though, when you make a thread you decide the conduct for that thread.
The only board-wide rules are basic manners, and we keep romance to a pg-13 and violence to an R.

Any other questions would be gladly answered should you feel the need to ask them.

Hey! Welcome aboard! Lemme see if I can answer your questions:

Quote:

Well we don't really have conventions like bold for dialogue and italics for actions. You'll notice that we write it in proper story format here.

Depending on which category you play on, the rules will be a bit different. The one that has the most stringent standard is Advanced (especially when it comes to OOC handling and post quality). The information is available via the stickies.

Yup. Though people here normally post interest checks in the On Topic Discussions to fish for the interest (or flesh out ideas) before they make a proper OOC for the game, and then finally the IC when the GM is satisfied.

It depends on the game and the temperament of the GM and the other players. Close to Correct would be my safe estimate. Nobody's perfect, though we should all strive to write posts with Perfectly Correct Grammar.

If by mature you mean sex, then no. We crack down on them. Our words and mannerisms may be loose here but we will not tolerate cybering or something that might even lead to it. Keep them at PG-13. We're more tolerant on violence however.

That's correct. It's his/her game, it's his/her call.

edit: Ahhh looks like 76 beat me to the punch. He's awesome :3

Thank You. And when I asked about Maturity I didn't mean sex I mean more like Trolls and just bad Roleplay conduct. However sex I always did as you'd get to the point and then fade to black, after a few posts you act like you just finished. Nothing graphic however, Never.
