And now I get what you mean as well. I would never support a report thread--am anonymous report button, on the other hand, is fair game.
I know about flame wars, believe me. The now defunct forum I moderated on could be called Drama Central. There were all sorts of wars--mod vs mod, member vs member, and mod vs member. It was awful. One of the heads thought it was a smart idea to publicly humiliate certain members by putting up a Wall of Shame--which created a whole new catastrophe on its own. I'm glad you realize the aim of this thread--I do believe it was created to draw attention to an issue that at least some member thought needed correcting. Killing to birds with one stone, I guess. And yes, I know when looking for mods in the online-bar-thing to look for bold. It would be helpful to have another color.

You don't want a Wall of Shame. The members on there were angry that they were up there, members pitched who they thought should be on there--angering fellow members--, and was just one battle in the ongoing Moderator vs Member war. Literally, we were trying to be overthrown. That just helped the case. At least the staff here not only seems to work well together but have great relations with the members.

How odd... there was a report post button around the time of 'The Incident' I remember using it to help flag the problematic posts. I'm buggered if I can find it now though. (I may be overlooking it however.. its been known to happen)
