I just thought I would point out to everyone, that when you are wanting to do an interest check, and you title something "interest check:________" all I can see on the left side of the screen is "interest check:..."

Now, maybe I'm the one out there who is too lazy to click the thread, or bother to figure out what the interest check is for, but, its my opinion, that you would get a lot more feedback, if you put what you were checking for interest in first. Or, maybe come up with an abbreviation. Obviously IC would be a bad decision. Maybe "Intchk:_______" or something, that way I can read what its about, and you'll know whether or not I or whoever else is interested. Just a suggestion.

Nice idea. I have the same problem. But it would be even easier if you put: _____-intchk. Thats my two cents.

Maybe it has something to do with your browser or moniter. I'm usually able to get the full title when I view it. I know when you browse the internet on another computer the site layout often changes slightly.

No, that would not make a difference in how I would ignore your thread. It isn't that the words are too long to read, its that their uninspired, and that just screams to be "crappy roleplay idea".

Instead have something catching in the thread title, something that sums up what your roleplay would be about, and in the thread pitch your idea. That would get more people interested.

Is there a rule that states the thread title must begin with "Interest Check"? Or even contain that phrase?

When i come online i click on "New posts", browse through the stuff, when i find something i want to read - right click open on new tab, resume browsing until i reach the last page, then read the opened tabs after each other.

It's easy to keep track like this. I never bother looking at the "Recent posts" because all that spamming that goes, you never see the important ones.

Strange huh? The recent posts box hardly changed in a hour just a year ago.. Does that make me old?

and its mildly obnoxious when you refer to me as '3', you can read the rest of the name and figure out that my name is Evelynn or Eve right? Which really should have been my name in the first place, I'm just used to those names being already taken.
