Sig Violations
Okay, if you haven't read the recent news item from my totally awesome one-man media organization....(over the top there
 ).....you can find it here: RpG AP Special Report.You can discuss and ask questions about further signature etiquette and what should and shouldn't go in a proper signature in this thread. Key rule for this thread: NO FLAMMING!!!!! I can't stress that enough.

OK. What's the maximum height in pixels a signature picture can be before violating the rules? I ask, as the quote in the news report told me nothing of how big their allowed to be.
Also, I haven't noticed any large amounts of people abusing their signatures privileges. Are you sure your not making a mountain out of an ant hill?

Three things (two unrelated to the main topic, I will begin there):
1 - No flaming should be a forum wide rule. 2 - I would gladly assist you with your publication if you were willing to give me a column or two. 3 - I am sure I have seen it somewhere, but perhaps you could post the exact pixel by pixel dimensions and image file size limits for the signatures?

It's (Approx.) about 100 - 120 pixels in height. And yes, I measured.
Disclaimer: Measurements may not be completely accurate, due to the idiot having used a ruler, putting it up against his computer screen to do so. However, are most certainly a close measurement.

All I want to know is if mine's legal lol. I just joined this site last week and I deffinately don't want to have anything on my signature that would cause me to get in trouble.

Let's see... 150x500pixel signatures are the standard legal signatures on forums.
In my opinion, if its a roleplayer forum then you can have bigger if you turn it off in IC or your posts are way bigger then you sig. This way the rps wont look like a mess. It really bothers me sometime when i look into some rp and somebody writes a post with 2 lines, but its signature takes 2 pages.

Yes, we have told people in PM's to downsize their signatures. Aerandir has told many. We have discussed this, and we wouldnt just waist our time with nothing if we didnt think something needed to be said.
And I'm not sure, but my signature may be over the limit? I dont think it looks too extreme, but if its breaking rules i'll take it down.

There is no rule how big you sig should be yet. Personally, i doubt that your sig bothers anybody, since you write nice and long posts. If its still bothers you i can edit it for you, same picture, just smaller with 30 pixels

The reason you haven't seen many Signature's abuses is that I and many other mods have quickly asked all members who had fairly large Sigs. FOR EXAMPLE!
I have seen about 6 signatures that I have taken care of that were FAR TO LARGE. See Arato for example, I haven't informed him to change his signature yet, but I will. Also please check articles and the Signature thread to see the size requirements....
