Default The RPies.

Hey, hows it going everybody? Its me Comandersnow as you all know from looking up on the screen. Back to my point. On my last forums for rp that I was on(Age of conan forums) I had this idea for a little RP award thread thing just for kicks.

I made some Catagories, and people would put in nominations for a little while(I think i set it for 1week to give people time) then I would slim it down so its actual people give another week then at the end I would tally it up and handed out the awards. Of course the award werent really for anything but too know people appreciate your work and so on.

It didnt actually finish on my other forum.. but I was thinking it could work here. And you could put in your sig or something "winner of best thread- Casual" or something like that. So... if i made this would you guys support it? Voteing and so on?

It'd work if everybody was reading every rp on the forum. But since, most of the members are reading only those they're in. It's pointless this way.

then what about... Best finished RP? It will encourage people continuing RP's till the end. And then you get some extra bonus or something when you are the creator of the best finished RP... Or something..

I don't know. The best RPs I've ever been in are the endless ones. They're more...realistic, since there isn't a "happily ever after". I'm hoping the Hogwarts one might extend to where we are middle age, even, just that well. But anyway, I think that voted categories such as that do tend to be more popularity contests and it might just be a magnet for drama. If it were to be implemented, it would have to be a democratic decision by moderators and such, since they're the few people who do read most of the threads and are the people who's job is to be unbiased in decisions like that.

But that's just me. It's not particularly potent a topic for me, so don't take my word too heavily.

It'd work like that if even we moderators had a chance to read through all of the posts. We read (well I am at least) as much rp as we can,but we don't have a collective mind to process all the threads and point out the best one. Also our tastes are rather different too.

About the extra bonus thing, its sounds rather bad to me. It'd make the forum into so kind of race to get that "extra bonus". I'm not sure that we could provide anything, also we already have problems with spams.
