This could be neat

I'm not sure if it has been suggested or not. I thought I would give it a shot and see what people think about it.

Could we make a new main forum for Guilds. Each guild has it's leader, people join based on the history created by the leader. When enough guilds are formed, we make a new forum for guild battles. like wars or something. There could be alliances and all that good stuff. It's not full proof, but it's an idea that i think after people get used to it, would be quite interesting. There is tons of things we could add to it as well. Any other suggestions for this would be great to...

Just a thought

I don't think this warrants the creation of a new forum. You could just run multiple rp's and keep track of them. Any sort of fights can still use the Arena. RpG is quite loose and provide freedom for the members to play anything they want to as long as they don't cross the border. I can't say about other people, but I like keeping everyone into one large community rather than segregating them into smaller and more introvert ones.

It would be a totally optional thing. like a side job. If you join one, it would just be for one character. A seperate forum would be easier to keep track of the guilds. The guild forums would be completely separate from individual rps.

I remember doing this at a forum I used to go to a long time ago. It was actually really fun considering almost all the member's took part. There were Clan Art competitions, threads, battles, you name it.

I don't think it'd work so well on this forum though since the board doesn't scale high enough. There only room for certain focuses.

Although the forums would be separated, the attitudes wouldn't. I agree with almond on this. By introducing forums for guilds all of that glory of being in one would go straight to some power-hungry heads. Your leaders would eventually hate one another and guild members would become so devout to their stance that they wouldn't want to participate in individual RPs with members that aren't associated with their guild.

Here we encounter one of Gaia's many problems. One of the reason that many of their members don't get along as easily as we do is because of the factions that are formed. Factions become dangerous over the interwebz just as they become dangerous in the real world.

Don't get me wrong, I think guilds are cool; but only if they are able to be controlled. We won't mind if you start up a small guild for fun and invite a few members here and there, but as almond said, "It doesn't warrant a forum."

Yea, I tried this when I first started, but in the two weeks I have grown and learned. Firstly I was ignorant to the OOC forums at the time and started "The hunters guild: A bird in the Bush" in the IC. I really enjoy the idea of Guilds, and stuff like that being united, but it doesn't completely warrant a separate forum.

Also, if the entire RpG community wanted to join, we would have a lot of people from Basic, casual and advanced. I know I can't compete with Advanced, and I am not great in casual, but I don't like RP'ing with one-liners. there would have to be some stability.

A main forum for Guilds?

What is this? An mmo?

We don't need separate guilds running about the forum. It would start an atmosphere of elitism and make it hard for newcomers to get established in the guild.

Yeah, it was an idea, but its a bad idea. Don't get upset when others don't agree.

Who's getting mad. It certainly isn't me. I understood what they were saying.

Alright, this topic is being closed before things get wild.
Also, the issue has been solved I do think.
