I don't want you to feel like I'm barging into your lovely forum here and telling you how you should run it. I merely want to make positive contributions and become involved with the community.

In looking around I've seen a lot of roleplays that are based on a very large scale--continental, if not global. The Persistent World is one of these, and it is obviously for this reason that you have created a separate board for it--all those characters, all those storylines, all that geography, could barely fit into a single thread.

But a lot of the smaller, user-created roleplays are just as ambitious. From world war three to fantasy world-creation, a lot of the stories are trying to encompass a whole lot of information and a whole range of independent storylines. Many people enjoy this open-ended type of roleplay because an entire world of possibilities is open to them, rather than something along the lines of a group of people fulfilling a single quest--some people find this restrictive.

Anyway. I'll get to the point. My suggestion is that a new board be created, entitled "Member-Created Worlds" or something similar, filled with different sub-boards which each belong to a different roleplay world.

Members who wanted to create their own sub-board here would have to create the usual interest check but they would be required to achieve a minimum level of interest--for example, at least 10-15 people. The member would then have to petition the mods/whoever and justify their idea, with criteria such as: originality, niche-filling and detail. These members should probably also require a minimum number of posts or have been a member for a certain amount of time, to ensure their commitment and reliability.

I don't believe that this would be detrimental at all to the community; if it doesn't work out then it could always be removed. But you never know unless you try. I've seen such implementations on other forums and many of them have been quite prosperous.

This idea popped up several times, also members tried it and were all unsuccessful.

The reason of failure is that this forum is still young and "low" on members. I mean, you won't find 10-15 member who would stay in the same rp for a long time yet. While RPG slowly reaching its puberty, we will try these things until they work.

Feel free to add these ideas, also you can try creating a multi-thread rp in one of the sections, but don't expect big success yet. Except, if you have the needed 10-15 loyal member base. So, if you work it out to be alive, i'm sure no one would mind if it had its own sub-boards.

That idea is cool! It would be nice to see, thought at the moment there isn't a large enough base of people to keep it alive. I've done a multithread roleplay before, and it failed when one of the needed threads wasn't being populated.

At the moment, check out this roleplay I made called "All Hail the Dark Queen" in advanced. It has a scope small enough to handle a small number of people, but large enough to not be very restrictive.

In Eora there would not be 'needed' threads. I would start potential storylines (something basic even like two nations going to war) and whether or not people followed it up would be up to them.

I like. I've had thoughts of having an RP with a diverse history/background information, but always felt that the Beginner - Casual - Advanced too restrictive.

I want mah universez!

I'd imagine that a board like this would contain sub-categories which house all the lore etc. of the RPer's created Universe, with people possibly making their own RPs set in said universe. (Sounds awesome)
