So, what does that mean?

Exactly what it says. I want to create a thread for you beginners that wish to have a challenge in order to advance your skills. And of course to have some fun along the way!

How will he do that!?

I don't know, how will I? I think that if I lay down some rules stricter then those already in the Beginners forum and gave you all some input and tips along the way than you're sure to get better. Heck, I'll even give you a diploma once you graduate to make you feel better.

But I don't like rules...

Stop crying. You'll like the rules or you'll sit in the corner. The rules are not going to be harsh, and I'll even let you advise me on changing them, if needed.

Well... Okay. What are these rules anyway?

I can only think of two rules at the moment:
1) Rule one is currently out of commission, please refer to rule two.
2) Take some time before you post, none of this posting every ten minutes.
Now, that wasn't too bas was it?

So, what am I going to get out of this?

The aim of this session is simple enough. By the end of this you are going to be able to consecutively make posts that are at least a good, detailed paragraph long! We'll cover topics such as; what your character is thinking, what your character is doing, how your character is feeling, what is happening around your character, etc. Many people ignore the mundane things such as surrounding, thinking the conversation at hand is much more important. But I think that the atmosphere surrounding the characters is just as important. We're going to develop skill to tackle just that!

So, you've accepted the stuff above and not given up. Good. I have no ideas about a story line for this RP - and I think that's a good thing. You guys are going to create the story as you go. The only constraint is going to be your character sheet. Yes, I want one. I'm even going to provide some input on that. This is so I have a good idea of your characters, and so you have a picture of them in your head. That way you can evolve from that to something deeper.

I'm not trying to be an elitest ass here who thinks he knows everything. I'm not even that great of an RPer. I just think that it would be good to try and evolve your respective RP skills in a friendly environment that promotes it.

So, the character sheet. Just put the usual stuff on it:

Name: Anything you want.
Age: However old you want to be.
Race: Anything at all.
Description: Written description of yourself. No pictures allowed.
History: History of your characters life so far. Try to be a bit original, yeah?

That is just the core areas. Your character has special powers? Shove in a Powers: area. It's up to you.

I'll join like I told you before. Wow I actually said a definite answer. Anyway if you make a rule that they must post at least one paragraph then people who can't do that won't join this and they won't be able to get better. The point of this is to help BEGINNERS so you should let them get better over time. Understand my logic?

I'm sure some people might trundle on in. Even a few would be good.

Maybe it is the lack of a solid story outline, if that is the case let me know and I'll cook something up.

But while you're here...

What would you prefer?
1) No set story line, we just interact and see how it goes or,
2) Set story line where there is a general goal to the RP

Also, have you had any experience with character sheets and the like?

I like charcter sheets but also dont like to have to be a certain charcter such as "Vampire or Human" i mean what if i want to be a rabbit or somert? not that i would want to be a rabbit

Well - I'm letting you be whatever you want. You don't have to be the generic vampire or the mundane human. Be creative.
