OOC - Roads to the Heart





Just wanted to see if anyone would be interested in doing this with me. The characters will be limited, only about 4, but here goes.


It has been six years since the war in Palae ended. The lands of the kingdom have been at peace since then. Yet despite the peace the kingdom has known for those years, they do not yet know of the troubles to come. The king's guard has discovered a new force, ready to wage war against not only his kingdom, but those surrounding it as well.

The force of the enemy that plans to attack is great this time. Much greater than what attacked before. Because of this, the king fears for the safety of his only daughter. Yet his daughter has not been raised as a simple princess. For fear of her own life, she was taught skills needed to survive.

The king has sent word to the neighboring kingdoms. With the task falling to his daughter to gain aid from kingdoms beyond those already allied with them, he has asked for skilled warriors and all manner of fighters come to his kingdom to run what has been called the Gauntlet.

The first three to complete the Gauntlet will be named High Guards to the princess and given more power than the king's own general over the armies should the need arise for it. In addition, the three who complete the Gauntlet will be given a hefty sum of gold coins for their efforts. Those who are named High Guards will travel with the princess in order to assure her safety along the way.

As I said before, there will probably be no more than three others aside from me, a total of 4. Romance will be allowed and everything, and since the characters will be limited, I can make it a private rp if everyone agrees to it.

Anyway, there it is. More will come along in the rp of course but it's a medieval/fantast, action/adventure/romance rp to put it simply.

I wanna keep the characters balanced so 1 other girl and 2 guys are wanted, unless you want to do a drama in it. Either way, just post here if you're interested (The first 3).

This is what I need to know.

Profession (warrior, archer, mage, whatever)
Gender
Title (You can be a prince or princess as well, that doesn't bother me)
Race
Privacy: (Want it private or not?)

The only thing i ask is that if you're not human, you don't have a rediculous amount of powers and what not. Again, only the first 3 who are interested will get spots so yeah..

I'll make the OOC and the first post when I get people.

I'm interested in this idea, though just one question, the Gauntlet, is it a set task accommodating one's own skills or a general test to see who is the most fit regardless of what one is good at?

I'd have to say it was a general test. The Gauntlet is this sort of contraption that has a lot of swinging swords and stuff like that. If you ever saw the movie "First Knight", it's something like that.

EDIT: Also, there might be someone else joining the rp as well, but I don't know. I'll see what they say. Right now I'm leaving all spots open but if they decide to join, they'll get the spot.

Well then, I'll call dibs on one of the spots then, and go YouTube searching to see if I can find a clip of "First Knight". Give me a rough idea of what I'd be up against.

Not sure why, but that seems much less descriptive then any other character sheet I have seen.

Probably because there's no pictures or anything lol. Those can be posted on the OOC board when I get it up. I'll start working on that soon.
