UPDATE: Coloholics Anonymous are not affiliated with the spammer. The spammer has allegedly targeted them as well in the past and subsequently framed them.


I'd like to recant the angered remarks I made towards the Coloholics community and wish them luck as they deal with the spammer.

Earlier today, a jealous spammer has made at least 20 accounts and proceeded to spam RPGuild with a bunch of nasty pictures (see: goatse) from his or her own porn folder in a whiny, envious tantrum in attempt to defile RPGuild's effortless success in the forum-based roleplaying domain.

Fortunately for us, LordLynxx was online and fought back valiantly and basically kicked the spammer's ass because he or she gave up. Funny, because the spammer had to spend a lot of time email-activating his or her accounts and then log in each one and then all LordLynxx had to do was click the BAN button.

If LordLynxx wasn't on, RPGuild would have been swamped with this spammer's personal arousal material. I'd just like to give a big thanks to LordLynxx for doing a good job. Remember that Moderators are volunteers and are here because of their will to contribute to the community. I've also promoted TranzAndri, Manda-Panda, and Rouge47 to Moderator status. LordLynxx was promoted to Super Mod status.

I've implemented some securities and fixes that enable me to shut out spammers for good so the same violator can't simply register an infinite amount of accunts.

Good job to everyone who reported violations and spam to me and the other Mods. This was a good wake up call and helped me find weaknesses in our system.

We aren't immune to spammers, but are better equipped for dealing with them. I'm also always looking for potential Mods who fit the good-candidate profile. When I'm looking for new Mods, I'll come to you.

This will be forever known as the Spamming Incident. I'm sorry for those of you that told me the spammer's picture spam (and fapping material) made you literally gag and puke. I guess we all can't get off to the same stuff.
