 RpG .:  :.Issue #11 5-27-08 Enjoy! Domestic - RpG Related PW is Launched Blackfire already made this announcement, but I'll go ahead and say this again because I have a little more to add to it. Persistent World has been launched into its Beta program and officially has its own forum and three sub-forums. Everything has been set to Advanced standards which may upset some of you who hate to roleplay Advanced. However, for those of who feel this way, I ask that you check it out anyways. You'd find that it can actually be quite different. You have more opportunities available to you and you don't have to worry about people crossing any lines because the place if heavily moderated. Also, Blackfire and Lordlynxx have promoted to Admins. That's right, the RpG now has a total of three administrators...so watch your backs!  The RpG AP will now be split into two organizations here. You will still have this beloved overall article, but you will also have the new PW AP! The press for PW will report on...PW. We will give you major highlights in the timelines, happenings in certain threads, new organizations, and the occasional murders *cough* I mean obituaries. If you have any questions about PW then feel free to PM a mod or one of the new Admins (primarily Blackfire, since this is his baby). [if you didn't get that joke then loop back to a previous AP article] Foreign - Offsite Related 11th Time's the Charm ~Candi 11 probes and 5 successful landings, the latest the Pheonix probe, has been confirmed to have landed safely on the Martian surface. This particular probe carries with it a Canadian built and operated weather station and a tool for sampling the soil for evidence of carbon based minerals. The results of this project are still unknown - that is to say weather we can hope to be living on the red planet in the next millennium or if we will discover it uninhabitable or what exactly will come of it. What we can know for sure is that we have landed another - more sophisticated probe - on Mars and the information it will gather will provide us with will be incredibly useful. Editor's Commentary- This roleplay greatly intrigued me. The title brought me back to an old debate that I've had several times with others and even my own pastor. This thread even got me started on creating a discussion in the OTD and so far, I'm quite amazed to see such philosophical thinking on this site. This is definitely one of the most well set up roleplays that I've seen on this board. The Preface is absolutely captivating and the backstory has set up an adventure that sucked me in like a magnet on speed. I look forward to roleplaying in this particular story and hope that more do too. Hats off to the author - Brivta. Gladiators!! Fight for Freedom!!! eferhilda This thread is set in the very distant future and is about fantasy based creatures(i.e. vampires, werewolves, elves, fairies, dragons, etc) who have been captured and forced to fight for the amusement of the humans. Some escaped and became the rebel group who seeks to liberate the other slaves. The champion of champions tournament has begun and so the best fighters from this sector have been brought to fight for their master's honor and fame. The rebels are on high alert seeking to add new members to their ranks. The Things They Carried (A Pixar Cars RP) [Link unavailable] DoubleEdgeSword Ok, so basically (if you've seen the movie) the story/plotmap takes place several years later after what happened in the movie, and new generations are starting to appear (ex: Lightning McQueen and Sally may already have children by now) and the main characters are adapting to new changes within the town and province. New issues will arise, such as disasters, mysteries, adventure, and action from Ornament Valley to the racetracks. Of course, I will need some committed members to help make this Rp come alive. I've made things a bit more... shall we say, detailed in certain areas to let the player have a more realistic experience in this roleplay.
