Maddi sat on her bed with her hair still soaking wet from her shower. She brushed theough it for a few minutes before pulling it up into a ponytail and finding her pajamas for that night. It was only 9 and her roommates would be geting back very soon. She grabed a pair of shorts and a white tank then slipped them over her warm body. She looked at side at the perfect night sky that was allowing a few drops over water to grace the campsite. Maddi had always loved the rain and it put her in such a good mood. She just hoped it would stay light because when it began to get thundery she had a tendancy to get scared. Maddi sat on her bed as she pulled out the mail she had received that day. She saw a letter from her mom and smiled as she pulled it out and read it. Maddi loved her mom for the sheer fact that she was the only family she had. Without her mom Maddi would be lost and all alone. She then put the envolope aside as she leaned back on her bed. She jumped a little as she got up and walked toward the opening to the cabin. Her face frowned slightly as she saw one of the camp leaders.

"Is there something i can help you with?" Maddi questioned the tall old looking women.

"Um yes I am Ms. Janeyy the camp concouceiler. And I have some news for you may I come in?" The old lady asked as she steped inside.

"Um what do you have to tell me?"

"Well, i think you should take a seat first..."

"No just tell me ok."

"Your mother is dead."

"What?!?!?!"

"She was shot today in a car jacking...."

Maddi's gaze began to fog over and she backed untill her back hit a wall. Tears began to gaze over her eyes and she didn't know what to do. The only thing she could think of was to run. She ran and ran far untill she was so deep in the forst she couldn't see the light of camp. She continued to run untill her legs couldn't move any longer. Maddi collasped onto the cold wet mud her entire body soaked from the rain and a slight shiver clung to her body as she rocked back and forth crying. "No, no, no, this can't be happening this is all a dream." She said shakily to herself as she hugged her legs ignoring the bitter cold as it stung her body.

Will yawned as he left his own cabin. The humans would go inside and the vampires could come out. He still didn't get the way they did things here. If humans were such inferiors, why did they even share a camp with them? It didn't make sense to the young vampire at all.

He walked off to begin with the night's activities. His gaze went around the vampire's own camp, but Will kept to himself as usual. Will continued to walk on, closer to the human side of camp. He didn't care for how the vampire's thought. He was perfectly fine with the humans so he never minded coming closer than the rest of the vampires.

Will, however, stopped as he heard someone crying not far off. He turned curiously in that direction and began to walk that way. He came to a young human girl, kneeling in the mud and crying. His eyebrow raised in curiosity as he saw this.

'...Aren't the humans supposed to be inside already?' he asked himself, checking his watch to be sure. Will shook his head, looking back up. After a moment, he makes a decision and stays crouched there, watching before deciding what move he should make.

Maddi sat there with tears continously pouring from her eyes. She didn't know where she was or what she was doing she just culdnt get over the fact that her only remaining family had died. She shivered from the cold wet night and hugged her knees to her chest. What was she supposed to do she had no other family. Where she live? Would the camp make her leave? She had so many questions and no answer for any of them. She sat there and continued to cry shaking violently as she began to panick her breathing was ragged and she was starting to loose grip of reality.

Will sighed softly as he saw this. He glanced back in the direction of the other vampires. He couldnt' be sure, but he always assumed he shouldn't talk to humans. But she seemed distressed.

A mixture of worry and confusion entered his gaze as he glanced between the girl and the direction the vampires' camp would be in. With another soft sigh, shaking his head, Will stepped forward again, moving silently towards the girl.

"...Are you okay?" he asked softly when he got close enough.

Maddi jumped in surprise as a voice entered her clouded mind. She looked up at a tall gorgeous head of blonde hair. She then looked down at herself and shook her head slightly.

"No. I am the farthest thing from alright." She choked out through her raspyy crying voice. A thought then occurred to her. "Your not allowed to be out after 9.....You should go to your cabin before you get in trouble." She then said but this time her voice had changed it was soft and light and barely adible over the light rain and blowing wind.

Maddi looked back down expecting the boy to leave sine arandom crying girl was truly no reason for him to get caught by an administrator. She wiped at her tear stained cheeks lightly only to have more tears return to her eyes as the memory of her mother flooded back into her mind.

Will raises an eyebrow. He bit down his first response to correct her about the time. The vampires were just coming out as the humans should have been inside. Instead, he crouches down a bit, looking at the girl for a moment.

"...Perhaps you want to talk about it? It can sometimes help..." Will suggests, praying silently that no other vampires or administrators come by and see him with a human girl.

Maddi wiped her eyes lightly as she looked over at the crouching boy. Her face contorted into a painful expression as she looked down at her hands which had been digging into her knees and now caused blood to spill a bit from her small cuts. She looked back up at him as a few more tears escaped her eyes. Her body shivered and she wiped at her everflowing eyes once more.

"She's dead. Everyone's dead. Their all dead." She said refering to her past family members who had all died in a fire at her sisters wedding which her mom and her accidently missed. And now her mother was dead as well and she was left alone in a menacing world.

"...Who's dead?" Will asks quietly. Unsure what else he can do, he places his hand on the girl's back, hoping to reassure her.

"Everyone my whole family died last year at my sisters wedding. And now my motyher died in a car jacking. I've no where to go. I don't know what to do i have to one help me...."She said quietly as more tears spilled over from her eyes.

Will looks confused for a moment. He's never had to deal with losing his family. He doesn't know how to react. However, after that moment, he looks worried again, looking at the girl.

"...It'll be okay..." he murmurs, putting his arm around her shoulders fully, trying to comfort her, but unsure how else to do so.
